wow, super in time, I was trying to figure out if I wanna buy this line, seems like a hype in some forums, instead of listening to the subjective personal feeling, it's great to see some tensile test and diameter measurements. !
Seems like a very good line, the claimed diameter and breaking strain are very accurate (compared to most other lines) so you know what your getting.

@@Justin-zw1hx I have tested the Max Power x8 in PE0.6 and this YGK was better in everything but Abrasion Resistance tensile strength.
I just watched some Japanese fishing youtuber today about PE lines, most of them recommend the YGK upgrade and a lot of them think the Toray Sea Bass PE Power Game is the best, do you have plan to test the Toray one day. Toray is of the best carbon fiber maker, so I guess their PE line should be pretty good. @@thelinelaboratory

If you test Yozuri Super Braid in all variation and sizes, you should find that it's average tensile strength is about 380000 which makes it one of the best Tensile strength to dollar cost.
I do have some in 30lb but i am yet to test it.

When calculating tensile strength, are you getting the cross-section area by assuming it's a circle of average diameter, or are you using the actual shape of the braid to calculate it?
Great question. I don't assume it a circle, I put all 8 diameter measurements into CAD, join them using a fit point spline and then let CAD calculate the area for me down to 6 decimal places.
BTW, I have a ton of Gliss in 18 lbs and 24 lbs from Cabela's clearance. It's a great line but the tensile strength is no where as good as you sample of Gliss. Do you have any videos of those tests? The highest tensile strength line I've found is Power Pro Maxcuatro in 20 lbs. I got an average breaking strength of 36.72 lbs for the green one and a diameter of .258 mm. Maxcuatro in other line strength test pretty well but the best bang for the buck in term of tensile strength is Yozuri Super Braid.
I have tested all 5 versions of Gliss and have the numbers for all of them on the website. the 6kg was definitely the pick of the bunch. I have also tested the Maxcuatro in 30lb and it wasn't a bad line at all.

The way you represent percentages is sometimes misleading. It is 12% above the claimed diameter not 112%. It is equal to 112% of the claimed diameter. Of course if you intend "Above Claimed Diameter" to be a separate statement it would make sense but that is not how it reads.

At some point I have to trust the sender, not everyone can supply lines on original spools.

No it isn’t, no surprises here. It performs very well as stated in the test results. Check the performance against Tasline for example which costs about $80 to fill a 300m spool, this line is significantly better in a few areas. This is not the original but a knock off YGK from China probably using Japanese PE. The abrasion test looks poor but it is 9 places superior to $80 worth of Tasline which is at the bottom, that’s what is surprising!
