- The rotary polisher is the perfect way to finish polish your car's paint. It's the method we teach here at DIY Detail, and so many of you kept asking us....which rotary should I buy? What backing plate should I buy? What's the best value tool for the money?
Enter the Max Gloss Rotary Polisher: bit.ly/DIYMaxGlossRotary

Quality NSK bearings
Precision ground helical gears for reduced noise and vibration.

5/8 11 spindle
Rubber covered handles for improved comfort and ergonomics.
Includes 5 and 6 inch backing plates.
Easy to service brushes
Powerful flow through cooling.

Excellent video but you forgot to mention the #1 thing that makes your tool stand out... this video! Transparency and honesty. This is exactly what makes DIY detail stand above the rest, teaching and showing the value. There's nothing to hide behind when you take it apart piece by piece and stand behind providing parts. It's worth every dime! Thank you for the value you are bringing to the detailing community. Lowest price doesn't equal value but gouging doesn't either, everyone should be willing to pay a fair price for a quality tool and that's exactly what this is. It's hard to trust in this world with all the marketing, being transparent and honest is so appreciate!
Thank you.
It purrs like a kitten I was surprised how quite it was. Nice tool and Yvan didn’t miss a thing when he built this tool.
Thank you.
Over 40 years of experience, decades of teaching. Decades of learning and refining his skills. Yvan teams up with Nick the detailer in the trenches. And they develop awesome tools!
I really enjoyed this!
Wow, thanks!
Im glad I waited . I was gonna buy a rotary a while ago then DIY said they were gonna make one and here we are with a beautiful machine. I love how quiet it is.
Thank you.
Got both the DA and the Polisher. They are both extremely smooth and quiet! It makes polishing so easy !
Thank you.
Great job on the design and build. This will be my next one
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow ! That is DIY (in) detail...At is best. Where else can we find a video like this from any detailing products company? The transparency, efficiency you are projecting from your products is simply amazing and easy to understand ! Merci Yvan , Nick!
Wow, thanks!
I really like this polisher and the attention to detail is very impressive. I have one polisher where I always miss the trigger lock and it is annoying. Now you guys who have never been through inspection at a race have an idea what inspection is like. The inspectors are really sharp and the only thing my engine builder ever got past inspection were carburetor holes drilled with a laser instead of a mechanical drill. Thank you for the video and I hope you quickly sell every batch produced.
Thank you. You got lucky at inspection (I’ve been a race tech inspector for over 30 years).
Looks like a good solid machine!!
Thank you.
Not sure how I missed this one but great demonstration and explanation
Thank you.
What do u mean missed it? It hasnt premiered yet
@@rooboy99Video was actually already posted on UA-cam. I already watched it twice
Always bringing high quality products to market, keep up the good work! Any timeframe on website restocks? Was interested in the "5 Year Ultimate Ceramic Coating Kit".
Very soon!
Excellent video, thank you - curious, what's being blurred out on the machine?
The label on this prototype had incorrect information.
The construction is very well done. It feels like no details were put aside. For the price point, I think it's a leading tool💪
I would like to know, let's say you could enhence one or two parts what would they be if price point is not in the picture?
Thank you. I would modify the front handle slightly
@@diydetailofficial nice, thanks for the reply🤝
Nice wish this came out yrs ago before I got the Flex 😊 save some money
Thank you.
You going to do a tear down on the DA too? Also, now you guys need to come out with a pressure was built to your specs😎
Stay tuned
If I was to buy only one your machines (now), which would be the most versatile? Rotary or DA? (Using DIY pads and polish)
Rotary
Is a soft backing plate better?
Ready
Thank you.
If I only have a rotary, what speed do you recommend with the yellow pad?
Great products and content!!
Speed1
Got a phone meeting with John at 10:30 am my time so I'll join this for 30mins and catch up on anything else afterwards.
Thank you.
Looks like a great machine question? Are the field windings coated with a resin?
Yes
Can you explain when a rotary finish would still be helpful if I were going to use APP with a short stroke DA before coating? If I’m correcting, I’m most likely coating after. APP would give the best base for the coating to be applied on. So if I do a correction step with the 25mm, the APP and red pad would be enough to finish down any light haze right? Not hating on it or anything, but I’m struggling to see how it fits in if you’re using APP. Thanks!
The C6 Ceramics APP with a short stroke DA will give you almost as good a finish prior to the application of the coating than DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish and a rotary. The difference goes the other way once the coating is applied. The APP and C6 Ceramics Coatings are designed to work together.
Hi Ivan. I have not used a Rotary before except, of course, using a drill with a Rotary adapter and pads, lol😅 I have used a DA, of course. I do want to get both right now]I have to make a decision to purchase the one now. will end up purchasing both tools . Which one would you recommend purchasing first.
The Rotary
okay becaue right now I have a couple of cars with very soft finicky clear and dome.medium to heavy defects that need to be.removed. I am sure with your purple wool pad and some good compoun or polish would take them out then finishing our with some primer polish and then coat the vehicles.
If all I have is a rotary, what size backing plate would you recommend for cutting and polishing?
6 inch
I’ve used my rotary now only on two full details with great results. Should I be using a da first then my rotary?
The choice is yours
When using the rotary and using the gold standard as the wax, do you ever have problems where it starts to dry out the pad do you incorporate a little water like a spray bottle to keep this from happening? Just a rookie question thank you.
DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish is a pure abrasive polish, no wax or protection.
Saving up for the DA can you tell me the speeds to use for the whool pad? And yellow pad? I have the rotary w red pad speed 1 For sure know that one!
It all depends on the machine.
I’m thinking of getting your polishing scrubs. Is it bad to use my Milwaukee drill and adapter?
That is difficult to control
Hey guys! Will this polisher be released in the UK? Happy to wait a few months, otherwise can you recommend a ‘well’ priced alternative with slow speed for finishing? :)
Yes, this summer hopefully
Is the 1-year warrantee voided if we open it up for maintenance?
No
I forgot to ask and this has to do with the 25mm DA. what is RPM AND the OPM rating? Also, what is the AMP rating on the motor and are they the same for both the Rotary and the DA Ivan?
8.4a, 1000W(1100peak) the 25mm DA is 2500- 4500 OPM
Why is the centre of the machine blurred out?
Incorrect information on sticker
Why blury the underside sticker?
The sticker was just a placeholder has incorrect information
Do you guys sell your t shirts?😊
We will soon
When do you expect to get more in?!
In 5-6 weeks
@@diydetailofficial awesome thank you. I’ll try not to miss this wave !
Price needs to be lower
Why?
@@diydetailofficial price point with other companies
@beeslandscaping with the quality of the machine and components involved the price is extremely competitive.
@@diydetailofficial I can’t pull the trigger yet.
