I agree with blue saying he shouldn’t have taken road. He made himself the threat for the weaker players when Dylighted had clearly the biggest potential and flexibility. He could have coordinated to help green plow the sheep/desert and/or he could have plowed toward 6:11:12 to limit you longest potential. Only after limiting your road space could he try for it himself.
I have no issue with Buddy taking the time allowed to him. He is never deliberately time wasting. I see it as providing detailed reasoning for his decisions. I do appreciate that Buddy is not everyone's cup of tea. I'm a fan though.
I think blue missed a crucial opportunity to strike a deal during placements. It clearly benefits you a lot if he takes the 9-4-11 instead of the 9-10-11, since it opens up two settlement spots for you. He could've bargained that he'll go 9-4-11 if you let him have one of the two spots. Then it's a 50/50 on what red takes, but at least he can try to secure himself a better position.
30:00 Stupid comment by blue. A good player would win this most of the time with his setup. He messed up badly by taking road when it was not necessary at all, making him a huge target and losing him army.
I typically don't watch the tournament games you post because I don't like listening to other people. I don't mind watching these fast-turn tournament games with the reduced talking, though.
Pre-watch prediction, this type of tournament plays COMPLETELY against DyLighted's strengths... but he's still has strong fundamentals and this was posted to youtube so he gets 2nd? Very interested to see what actually happens.

Imagine buddy playing like this, bro takes 2 minutes in his turn even with 0 cards lol
I would be raging at my screen.

I'm a fan too, it's just a funny comment
@@Boscosuniform 👍
Buddy is the best. I watch his bids at 1.5x speed and they're perfect. His game play is very creative
Fun format and really good way for you to understand that you should be confident in your quick assessment and decision making!
Blue getting road added unnecessary heat to him, awful play considering he would never be able to keep it against your set-up
And kudos to you for not rushing to get it back Dylan
30 second turns. this is like the anti-dylan tournament!
DyLighted always seems to pull the monos...
chaotic game, was coming back home, pulling only vps, but good game!!
Imo red blundered with the first settlement. It sucks as a first settlement especially since the 5/9/10 player could contest the ore port
blue took road too early. also unlucky that green didnt trade him after blue said to plow.
gg blue is a nice player
Nice game! I’m enjoying the tournament mini series’s

Well played. Fun to watch!
21:38 Why do you have such an obsession with taking army when you are 3 knights behind?
Think he could have won a lot quicker. If he stopped buying devs. Especially once he got the mono.
The 3-4-9 was a better 2nd settle, as you can go to the ore with the starting road and connect your 2 settles.
And open 692 plow to the wood port for green? No thanks
Certainly not.
What a huge mistake of blue to take road.

Keep up the uploads!
Nice one, thank you for the vid
LETS GO DYLAN FINISH FAST
did you consider going to the 3-8 to get the ores? like around the middle game it was a possibility
I think that pulls away from his road win condition too much.
Where do you find these tournaments ?
How can i join this kind of tournaments?
I wanna see that 4-4-5-10 game lol

Why didn't he try to settle on the 8 ore?
Second
