if u have dry or a mix of dry and oily skin, the camo concealer is not for u.. really wanted it to work but it just cakes up instantly.. even tried prepping my skin with my whole skin routine, still didnt work.. not to mention powder made it very sheer and patchy😭 if u have oily skin this is def the councealer for u..
I have the original elf, if I use it alone it’s cakey. But I also have the elf super hydrate face oil. I mix a tiny bit of that in the concealer and it’s perfect for me
I love my elf one, I think I was using a nyx one before and it dried so fast, I could only do one tiny section at a time. The elf one waits for me and lets me work with it before it sets and I feel like it creases less if I don't set it with powder
The ELF hydrating concealer is my all time favorite. Surprisingly, I didnt like the Milani concealer. I found it was dryer and not as easy to blend, dried too quickly. I think it's just my skin type tho.
Concealers are the biggest headache for me. When the blurb claims a concealer to be : "🌟Creamy, 🌟non drying, 🌟full coverage" it ought to deliver on all points! Arghhhhhhhhh!! 😂😂😂😂 Love ya 💗
How do people deal with concealer being Cakey? I put the tiniest a amount on, i don’t even use the applicator bc it puts too much on but it’s so drying and grainy. I’d rather have bags than have cake under my eyes. I have elf camo btw any tips would be awesome!
You have to moisturize, use primer then add your concealer (not too much) spread w/your ring finger to melt in skin then use powder to set it with a powder puff for me is best. Also you can use a brush too. When your done spray your face w/setting spray (I use makeup revolution sport fix only $8) then carry a small powder in your purse for touch ups and your done! My biggest tip that is the most important is to use setting spray because it melts all the powders and concealer together and looks hydrated and also feels less dry as you wear. I am a true believer of primers and setting sprays they definitely work and make your makeup last but just find and play until I find what you like. Good luck 😊
@@sarakowalsky7323 thank you so much for the tips! I do use moisturizer, primer and setting spray but for some reason this concealer just didn’t work for me. (And Powder looks bad on my dry skin) I did find a concealer brand that I really like though! So now I know what consistency works for me!
I have Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer. I apply it with a humid beauty sponge. Then i wait a little bit, touch up with sponge the lines where it sets, and immediately i use the same humid sponge dip it a bit with my Laura Mercier translucent powder, take the excess off from the sponge dapping it in my hand and then use the sponge with that minimum amount of powder to set my under eyes. I learn that technique from Andreea Ali. It works for me.
i hated both, i have this wierd texture on my under eyes that look like tiny circles bumps that I don’t like ( they r but big of off the surface of skin tho) and both just made them so obvious and that’s why I just stick to an eye brightener
I have really oily skin and the elf camo concealer just didn't sit right. It kinda separated and made my under eyes look weird 😭 Also didn't give much coverage 😅
I hated all of these 🙃 ESPECIALLY the original elf camo concealer... It made my under eyes look 5x older and was so dry and I know this isn't elf's fault but they're also way too yellow on my fair skin. I really wish these worked for me because everyone else seems to LOVE them 😟 PSA my favorite drugstore concealer is the L'Oreal infallible full wear
You're not alone Heather. I had to return the Milani and I never bothered getting the Elfs I just knew anything that claims to be full coverage is going to make my 51 year old undereyes 91. Just way too drying and always settles into wrinkles and makes them worse. And I have tried multiple different eye creams including rich thick Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair. Really doesn't matter how much I moisturize and prep, and setting my undereyes with powder will only make the undereyes a crepey hot mess. So I think only young ppl with young can get away with matte and full coverage concealers. But I never tried the ELF hydrating concealer, is it still too drying for you? Even the Loreal Infallible is way too drying on me.
@@jocelynmorales1222 I'm sure she has tried that because I've tried everything and still can't use matte or full coverage concealers. What eye cream and primer do you use? Life gets difficult once you hit 45+ the dark circles get worse yet impossible to cover or find concealers that don't make you look old.
@@Rwissam1987 I have noticed if I use the Beauty Pie corrector in the light/pink shade first then put over it a concealer like Tarte Creaseless, Nars Radiant Creamy, or Revlon Candid, those combinations don't dry me out as badly. But nothing looks good under my eyes due to my crepey wrinkles that show up worse with any makeup underneath.
I love period underwear, i usually stay home during my period and use the underwear exclusively. And yes, i agree that going one size up helps. I do just wash them like normal underwear and haven't had many issues.
I had the same experience and always felt like I was doing something wrong cause everyone else loves it. I don't even have a lot of wrinkles/texture under my eyes (I'm in my early 20's). I think it just wasn't meant to be for me lol. I've had great experiences with L'Oreal concealers (specifically the infallible full wear and another older one that I don't remember the name of 🙃), so id recommend trying those if you want!
Yeah girl, same here. Very dry under my eyes and I could never figure out why. It’s one of those concealers that just doesn’t work for me even tho I had high hopes for it.
I feel like the black one is better for spot concealing instead of undereye, it seems to be meant for oilier skin types and ppl rarely ever get oily there.

Just a reminder that the original 16 hour camo has avacado oil in it and the hydrating one doesnt have any oil.
Aaaaa i have the elf hydrating concealer and I also use it as “foundation”, matches my neutral undertone too!
The Milani concealer is SO good!

I have the Elf camo (black top) and i find it's easiest to blend it out with a dense brush. I do find it very cakey though!

How do u pick your shade in the Milani? I find it so strange that in Canada there are no testers 😢
The milani one separates on my skin and it’s really drying.
And oxidizes quickly
Which shade of your milani concealer ?

I feel like the Elf ones look really good upon application and look terrible as the day goes on. If you have oily skin it looks even worse 😂
Am i the only one that didn’t like the Milani, as it was drying and creasing.
The elf ones are HORRIBLE they emphasize all my texture and looks so bad and gross
Same !! Finally someone who agrees❤
why does the black elf camo concealer make my under eyes really dry ? does anyone have tips on how to use it :(

Try to wet your beauty blender and dry it but not completely then blend it and it should be a bit easier to apply and smoother
