Your system of packing items that don't need to be viewed - just grabbed- in out of view places is brilliant. Things that need to be seen to be chosen are in your transparent containers. You can see their colors or just see, "Oh yeah! I did bring that.." In sight. On mind 😅 Love this one 😊

It works for you and that is what counts. I’m still in sticks and bricks but hope to be out of here within a year. I’m working on downsizing everything. And yes way too many clothes working on getting rid of a lot of them. Our mini bus is still in the shop getting much needed work done. Looking forward to it coming home then we are going to take some short trips while make sure we have everything in place. I’m 70 my husband is 77 so can’t get on my knees anymore love that we can walk upright in the bus. I have a mini van but to small for the 2 of us and we have 2 dogs. Good job on how you organize your clothes. I rolled mine for years I was and over the road truck driver solo so was use to not having to much on the truck. Have fun and stay safe.

Oh, I bet your mini bus is so cool!! I'd love one, but I'm scared of repairs. Shuttlebus Cathy's has such a cool Shuttlebus. I really like different rigs.
No more knees for me and I'm 59. I totally understand. Just get out there even if u have to drag the husband and digs!!!! The freedom on the road is so wonderful. 💙

I take way less underwear and keep it all in my barhroom “diaper bag”,( so many great compartments for all my bathroom stuff!). I use quick dry undies I got from REI. I kept forgetting my washcloth when I went to shower and realized I could wash my underwear with the castile soap I use for everthing and then use that as my washcloth! Clean body and undies that will dry in no time in 1 operation!

Thanks for sharing!! This is great information!!! I definitely took way to much underwear!!!!!! I hear that long term hikers use the Dr. Bronner's bar soap on their hair, face, body, and clothes. This would eliminate a lot of unnecessary products!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Girl! Love this content. When we were in sticks & bricks, I had sooooo many clothes. After 7 years on the road, we realize just how little we need. I have one tiny closet and 4 tiny drawers but have all I need. I kept editing down, down, down. I'm out walking in this damned Florida heat and humidity. Ugh!

Never again will I take so many clothes. 15 prs of shoes? WTH was I was thinking? I only wore 3 pairs. I wore the same clothes over and over again. But this is good - a very valuable lesson was learned from all this. And now my next adventure out will be even better. ☹️💙

Whenever I travel I put my clothes in those zip bags. A great idea.
Sometimes one whole outfit in one, easy to grab out of a suitcase etc.
Yep I roll up clothes too.
    Even at home...
Those containers with opening ends fit alot into them.

@@OutonaLimbwithKym actually Ive had a thought about your clothes, if you do put some outfits togeather, including underwear, youd only need to grab one bag instead of looking in different places.
Maybe put yr one pear of long pants and sweat inside and the extra teshirts up ontop...just thinking out loud!!!
      Lol...
You and your son would be welcome here Im sure!
Im not a big Lord of the rings fan really.

Out of curiosity, how are you going to access your spare tire should you need it? I guess I've been lucky traveling around with mine covered in the rear with my heavy checkbox and refrigerator. However, I had a nightmare and was on the side of the road having to unload the entire back of my CRV to get to the spare. So....now, I'm working on an entire new layout in the rear that will incorporate access to the tire. Plan on just leaving the board that covers it up out. Then will cover the tire with moving blankets because its ugly....LOL. Plan on building a deck that goes all the way across and high enough to give access to the spare tire. Will also be able to use that deep well for some light storage; stuff that is easy to move should I need to get to the tire. Then I will be able to install my fridge slide. Thats the only thing I have been able to come up with to prevent my nightmare from coming to reality. Was just curious what you've done with yours or have you been flying on luck like me? LOL

      @OutonaLimbwithKym  6 місяців тому +1

Omg. I've been so lucky. I'll be in big trouble. There is no way for me to get to my spare. I keep telling myself to work on it, but I keep taking the risk. Now you have me scared again. LOL. I need to really work on this. Add that to my to-do list for the summer!!!! 💙

Actually, I can get two wears out of my shorts if I want. If anything, my underwear maybe could be burned sometimes. LOL! I put my clean clothes back in the satchel that dirty ones came out of.
