I’ve always said Hugh is the best character in the whole show. He’s the only person who says in front of everybody how awful Lyvia was and that they as a family are better off without her and Tony doesn’t even mildly correct him.
Hugh is the only old person in the entire show that Tony treats with even a mild amount of respect and love. Listens to him when he tells a story and gets him his dream birthday gift, never once mocks or degrades him.
Even when junior spoils the suprise party for him, he has the biggest, wholesome smile on his face that people care and love him that much. Imagine if they did the same thing for lyvia, there'd be a bunch of "why you're wasting this effort on me for something you couldn't even do right?"
@@DunkDLunk same reason he loves Artie so much too. Hugh and Artie are the two closest things Tony has to a straight life. He goes through a lot of stress to keep Artie part of the inner circle but also clean. He probably feels like, in another life, Artie could be his brother, or even him. And Hugh could be the dad he should have had
AJ and Meadow are really awful kids. They’re horrible to their parents and people around them, just insufferable. Meadow a little less towards the end, but AJ is a monster.
AJ had the same traits as his dad i.e panic attacks and alongside having to deal with adolescence and depression plus an attempt at suicide. I'd be insufferable too.
@@shoxx48 True, but that doesn’t mean he’s excused from his awful behaviour. Burning that kids foot with his mates and beating up that African student. He was also just generally awful to his parents. Just a shallow brat.
I think whether Tony is dead or not at the end os irrelevant. The blackness is where he has taken himself. Whether alive or dead, blackness is the only thing he will see.

When Tony exited that diner, he just ended up back outside Dr. Melfi's office in the first episode... but _this_ time he has the Horn of Eld.
that was funny
This time he’ll win

This was the show that made people realize TV was allowed to be good.
That’s so true AJ is set up to be another little carmine😂😂😂

i must be loyle to my chapo
I wish they wouldve picked up the dual storyline theme like the tracy amd meadow episode
The biggest influence of this show was its establishment of a definite split among Americans on how to pronounce the word “capocolla”
i love gloria
I wanna make her worse.
one of the most tragic figures of the show fr

yeah like the arc with meadow and her roommate in college
Meadow gets more insufferable as the show goes on and aj less imo

@@widididid8662 Yes! Noah as the manifestation of fake LA nice and meadow just fobbing her off.
Butchie did it.
That jewess who played meadow was a real piece of ace
Jfc
Not since Andrew Dice Clay has a Jewish person so convincingly portrayed an Italian
Person *who is* a Jewess, please

I mean, he's definitely dead, but you'd be right about that either way
