My friend got so drunk one time he thought he was liberty prime and started making noises as he walked around and he thought my front door was an "Obstruction".
I did this years ago. Still I enjoy Oxhorn going through the series. Great job. I can’t wait to see the Minutemen. Maybe because I’m a bit biased, I find this ending as the best one.
My issue with the way this plays out is my sense of reality can't be stopped. No way the Institute wouldn't know this giant was in route. No way they couldn't/wouldn't start an evacuation. A good portion of the high level staff would survive. Hell seeing now this is the canonical ending Fallout 5 should be the story of the remaining members trying to move and rebuild the Institute. To Pivotal of a faction to just eliminate like this.

They should have mad an option to have Shaun be a scribe and allowing to to have a mission set after beating the game that gives the sole survivor bonding time with their son that they never got
Surprised that no faction or group has brought up cloning as an option, especially with the tech that was shown in this game. It would have been a cool option to have, where even on a BOS run, the LS could still have a Shaun that wasn't old or a Synth
Ah, no...ever seen "Blade Runner"? Fallout's a LOT deeper than many folk think, just look at some of Liberty Prime's lines as he goes to war to see how deep the irony & snark is, but also insight. As Deacon said, it took the Institute a while for their Hubris to get bad enough to try and recreate Humans Synths are genetically engineered Human Beings with a few cybernetic addons. Not machines but not biologically grown either, but capable of not just Sentience but Sapience and denying that Sapience and free will was part of the actual evil of the Institute
Seriously though. The reason humanity is struggling to rebuild so bad after 200 years is the constant wasteland mutants, of every type. Sure we meet the VERY rare good mutant or synth but most are menaces to humanity, caused by our own mistakes. All ghouls will go feral eventually. Synths are especially dangerous with how they can perfectly replicate human behavior, giving them the ability to infiltrate another group. They should not exist.
Likely the East Coast chapter is still lead by Arthur in 2296. He was just entering his 20s during the Commonwealth Campaign, so 2296 would see him still as a younger man at 29-30. Though as evidenced by his willingness to lead his troops in battle, seen both in the BoS ending and the Institute assault on the airport, it's likely he might have fallen in battle. Just like his mentor Sarah and several of his ancestors before him
He may/may not have once single handedly killed a Deathclaw and he didn't even wear Power Armor when they were the ones on the offense, I highly doubt he'd be dead by the time of the show, if they wanted to (try and) kill Arthur Maxson it would have to be more impactful, on screen, he would not go quietly. *California Dreaming*
@sonicANDtailsfan157k I agree, but don't forget that both Owen and Sarah's deaths were mentioned in the epilogue of F3. There's not even a holotape of Sarah's final moments like there is of Brandis' team. Sarah was Arthur's mentor, idol and inspiration so you would think there would be some recording either in BoS records of her final moments or a personal message to Arthur he keeps in his quarters
well when you do the Minutemen there are two versions of it the "happy ending" (the one in which only the institute is gone, and the other factions are peaceful) and the the regular ending (which happens when you trigger the Brotherhood being aggressive) I got the "happy ending" my first try by only going so far with the BH & RR. BH only went as far until getting on the Pridwin getting power armor, and getting the collection quests for Blood samples, Texts, Coolant & unlocking the shop on the ship. RR up till I got Ballistic Weave, the just MM until the end.
Honestly it might be more accurate to ask if who are the Elders on the east coast now, like after nearly a decade in the Commonwealth one would assume there's a proper chapter there now and all, plus the chapter in DC and who's assumingly the one in Fort Atlas is still kicking around too. Like Maxson could very well be "High Elder" by now.
hey oxhorn idk if you'll read this, but i really liked your fallout videos and how you go through everything and all the lore, especially the fallout 1 and 2 series, i was wondering if you could make similar series on the atom rpg and sequal, since they're so inspired from fallout 1 and 2 and made by fans of those games clearly, and have a lot of decisions and lore to go through

I love that the brotherhood of steel had to kill the railroad and it makes sense because they're trying to help free the robots, this is against everything that the brotherhood believes in so imagine you help the railroad and stop before the point of no return and go join the brotherhood and when you are sent to go kill them all, imagine the leader of the railroad I can't spell her name she's wounded on the ground and you show your face to her showing her the betrayal you have committed against the railroad!
I would agree with you I always thought Desdamona and the rest of the railroad were like a little delusional thinking that gen 3 synths can be sentient beings, even though the gen 3 synths have been programmed properly to obey the institute they could become defective or develop a personality for its self which would make people of the commonwealth distrustful of them and why some people don’t like them like Brent savoldi at bunker hill. And you’re right the synths are just robots and they need to be dealt with because before the Great War of 2077 pre war America had resorted to automation including the government to develop advanced AI, advanced robotics and other technologies to aid in the war effort but that made things even worse and why the brotherhood distrust both the institute and railroad for creating the synths and having the railroad free them where later on they became defective or rouqe after their memories are erased like Gabriel at libertalia.
Really enjoyed this one, though to be honest, all the factions feel bland and unfinished in this game, compared to what was given in NV. Still, I do enjoy your videos, so that's not a criticism towards you, but Bethesda
Step one talk to Preston step two, become general step three claim settlements and then retake the castle step four take more settlements then talk to Ronnie shaw step five take more settlements and continue the main quest step six at a certain point you should get the quest objective talk to the minutemen/Preston about building the relay device to break into the institute step seven betray the institute step eight defend the castle against the institute step nine destroy the institute.

the Freaking railroad had a small cival war over liberating robots and toasters. the whole group is crazy.
