- The first in a series looking at underrated and seldom talked about NBA players. First is a highlight package featuring Tayshaun Prince. Dude, was the prototype for the 3 and D wing of the modern NBA. An incredible defender that helped the Pistons win a NBA championship in 2004. More basketball and NBA content to come. I've been looking for a video on Tayshaun. This dude was such a solid player in every aspect of the game.
Been knowing dude since I was 8 in 2004 & I always remembered him as the skinny long armed light skin dude 😂
“IT’S PALACE TIME-FOR THE PRINCE”
Man, Tayshaun was a baller. That block on Reggie killed Reggie’s chance of winning a ring
Best video for the prince of the palace!
He was like the little brother of the team, but I always wanted his usage rate to go up more during the “ going to work” era.
Probably for the best he didn’t, because his defense was second to none.
His jersey needs to be in the rafters!!!
Tay was just a beast, he was one of the most consistant players in NBA History playing over 90+ games with the Pistons in a row without injury.
And one of the best blocking and defence players of his Time.
Not underated, everyone who knew his play respected him for his relentless defence as well as his scoring under pressure performance.
What a star still my favourite player.
He guarded the best players and shut them down and would chase down players blocking their layup from behind almost every game. Then on offence he could shoot the 3 or take you to the basket. Doesn't get spoken about enough.
The Pistons could not have done it without the prince of the Palace, Tayshaun Prince!
67-61 4th qtr pistons vs pacers... best era of basketball imo
Nice vid 🐐
Tayshaun Prince was a complete NBA player,he played both ends of the hardwood floors,he played great offense and great defense,he was a scorer and a elite defender on defense,a defense specialist for the Detroit Pistons,he most definitely deserves to be talked about much more than he's talked about,he most certainly done his basketball thing when he was in the NBA,I really loved to watch him play, even if he was playing against my favorite team,I truly have nothing but the utmost respect for this great, legendary NBA player,he may be retired, but anybody who watch him when played, most definitely know that he is one of the greats.💯% real talk 🤔🤫
Loved this player
The Palace Prince!!!
I loved prince on the pistons. didn't realize he was balling out on the grizzlies too
There hasnt been a great Prince like him at the Palace anymore
Ppl can say what they want. This guy gave my guy fits as well as the entire team defense. Prince isn’t just standing 6’9 the man has a 7’2 wingspan as well as ability to move his feet with quickness in defensive end thats u selfish and when called upon could get a bucket. This why my guy Kobe CUDNT get off. Idc what anybody say the dude is under rated and if I had to get any jersey from that awesome team. I always wanted a prince jersey. Yea Kobe da goat for me. But that team that beat the lakers is one of the all times goat teams from coaching to players. Ppl forget Ben Wallace shut down SHAQ ppl wanna blame Kobe but what bout when Ben Wallace and sheed did to SHAQ? Malome and Payton combined avg 12 PPG. SHAQ who avg 35ppg in any other chip Ben held that man to lows in all stats Kobe avg the most for the lakers as SHAQ and rest of team cud Get decent shots off. Ben was pushing SHAQ damn near to the ft line not SHAQ sweet spot forcing Kobe to have to deal with prince and Hamilton get past them u got the Wallace boys. SHEESH
prince turned great players into good players. his defense was entertaining.

❤ thank you 🙏🏾😊 & Palace of #AUBURNHILLS
👋🏾
Little bit of a prototype Giannis, I'd say. Always was a huge fan of Tayshaun.
3:02 second most important playoff block
He moves like Kawhi in rookie Giannis' body
King of palace now detroit so bad but 2003-2008 fantastic team
"Famously lost to prime-Lebron." ---Fast Forward--- LBJ is now the #1 scoring leader... and is that really Tay's fault?
