      TBH, I was looking at old highlights of the '04 finals. Nobody could guard shaq. All they had to do was pass to shaq and it was an easy dunk. Kobe was the reason why they lost. Kobe wanted to be the hero. He was 10-27 in game 1, 14-27 game 2, 4-13 game 3, 8-25 game 4, and 7-21 in game 5. That's a 38% average for Kobe while shaq had 63%. With all those missed shots Kobe had, those could have went to shaq. They could have won, but I think Kobe is to blame in '04

    That 2004 finals between the Pistons and Lakers was tough as a Laker fan. It was the first year Shaq had shown a true decline in his athleticism and overall game. He’d been a 27-29ppg scorer his whole career despite never ending double teams, and that year he averaged 21.5 and just didn’t have that lift and explosion we were used to. Because of that, Detroit had Big Ben defend him one on one without much help at all… in previous years, Shaq would have dropped 50 on his head every night with ease, but this version of Shaq was very good, just not the beast he used to be. Kobe was 100% prime Kobe, but Prince drove him nuts the entire series. It was this series that made me say “Kobe is great, but he’s no MJ, MJ would never get handled like this”. Kobe scored 22 per game off a pathetic 38% shooting. Prince shut him down. Mix in the fact that the Glove was washed, and the mailman who was their best defender by far, tore his knee… and those Pistons toyed with the Lakers, ending their Dynasty. All good things must come to an end.

      Compare 04 Shaq to 05 Shaq and it’s obvious how much this man allowed himself to slip. Everyone says “If Kobe and him stayed together…” Honestly, Shaq needed this. He was way too content in Los Angeles, and way too stubborn to change. The Heat trade easily added another 3 seasons to his career.

    LeBron is a big massive dude. He is physically a specimen that was fortunate to be born as big. Kobe had to drive harder and be more physical because of his smaller frame. If Kobe just had the ability to palm a ball with his hands, he'd be even more lights out. I like me some LeBron, minus the flopping, but Kobe was on some other level.

    • @BetoTheButcher
      @BetoTheButcher 7 років тому +1

      niikes Kobe would train harder than any other player in the league. Watch videos of other players say how much of a beast he was in practice and the off season, he'd show up hours before a game. So your guess is wrong.
      All men grow bigger as they get older, but Lebron has a bigger frame, us taller and just bigger.

    Was swept by the rockets in the 95 finals with The Dream who avg 32.8 11.5rebs 5.5ast 2.0stls 2.0blks ON SHAQ!!!!! And swept them 4-0
    Shaq had a team The had 57wins and had penny hardaway 6'7 smooth pg who avg 25 8. & 4 that series... sooooo save me with the weak facts
    Had another magic team that had 60wins and got swept again by Jordan in the conf. When he cam back from retirement
    shaq needed another player with an skill set as Kobe all around elite skill set... he had a facilitator in penny and got swept multiple times
    0-3 by pacers magic when penny avg 20+ 57win team
    0-4 bulls jordan after retirement with a 60 win team
    0-4 by Malone when Kobe didn't start 50+ win team
    0-4 by spurs when Kobe didn't start 50+ win team
    Kobe first starting yr.... when they went to playoffs is when he won his first championship...period
    Mamba🐍
    Kobe avg 28 and shaq avg 28 that 2nd ship of the 3peat

      Why do you think Lebrons play never waivers as the game goes he can depend less energy using his teammates assistance why he’s rarely been injured

    • @GmanBadmon20
      @GmanBadmon20 4 роки тому

      Nope. Kobe looks to affect you and dominate you. Lebron looks to tire you out mentally and physically by having you chase picks and wants to pick your team apart. Sometimes kobe would look to beat ann opposing player while lebron wants to pick apart your team

      Bruh Lebron is skilled cmon. They’re both incredibly talented players. I’d say Kobe is better in many areas, but Lebron is a much better playmaker. Ultimately I can’t say who is better, but I’d say Lebron. Kobe makes a case tho.

      _Dude, his FG% come from layups he uses to drive to the hole on picks or off the first dribble. His overall skills are only slightly above average compared to most NBA players._
      _Lebron’s entire game depends mostly on athleticism. Kobe on the other hand, is pure skill due to him not having the extreme athletic gifts of other legends like Jordan and LeBron._

      One dimensional as fuck but ask Prince how that playoff match up worked out? Lebron took a crummy cavs team past them because Prince had no fuckin chance of stopping him. One of the best series of Lebrons career. Kobe series vs Pistons he shot 35 percent and got beat in 5 games by then with Shaquiile o fuckin neal on his team with Karl Malone and Gary Payton coming off the bench. You put those 3 guys on the Cavs in that 07 finals and Cavs of damn near swept the Spurs.

      Jim Paul Offensively as an individual player... Kobe and Jordan had alot more offensive moves because both of them were more skilled and had superior footwork than Lebron... Lebron just uses his size as an advantage and still relies on his athleticism

  • @oceaser6977
    @oceaser6977 4 роки тому +6

    I think the difference is when you got Kobe you’re facing the most skilled, fundamentally sound but athletic 2 guard ever (more skilled than MJ even (not better, more skilled)). He can step on the court and you know there are no flaws in his game. with Bron he’s a physical marvel with a limited skill set. Not a great shooter, no mid range shot, won’t play in the post (although he should beast there), liability on the free point line. For Bron, no one his size can move as well and no one who moves as well is as big as he was. Apples and Oranges tbh

    • @deez9805
      @deez9805 4 роки тому +2

      You lost me at no mid range shot bc that’s just flat out wrong 😂 if you want to try to stop LeBron you have to be physical with him and not allow him any airspace. You also have to try and get his mind moving as much as possible. You don’t want someone with IQ like his being able to sequence events on the floor. He’s at his best when all the simple reads are there and it’s just a matter of execution. LeBron in a rhythm is more deadly than any person in nba history besides KD (just my opinion so plz save your breath lol). But when teams force him to think 3,4,5 plays ahead they find success bc they’ve pushed his mind into overdrive. He can’t react and play just off instinct anymore.

    • @oceaser6977
      @oceaser6977 4 роки тому +1

      Devin X watch the games bruh. Most of lebrons shots are driving and long jumpers at or around the 3 point. Occasionally he’ll work around the elbow but still a longer range shot, even less rare is in the post. He doesn’t have a strong mid range game

    • @tarzangrant123
      @tarzangrant123 4 роки тому

      You sir are speaking facts about Lebron, he doesn’t really have a midrange, he’s an average free throw shooter, he just really relies on his size to bully into the paint and finish or try to hit a step back three which he really isn’t great at, love hearing objective views in Lebron

    • @oceaser6977
      @oceaser6977 4 роки тому +1

      Javier Grant I mean we all have favs (Kobe is by far mine) but we have to be fair and objective. Never liked MJ but I can’t honestly say Kobe was better. Sure, Kobe was better than some areas than MJ but overall MJ was the better player...but it’s a lot closer than ppl think

Those who have a problem with that, must hate someone like KOBE or MJ who played to win at ANY COST. Some of you guys may NOT CARE about the game as much as KG and it shows.
