RealityKit goes hand in hand with ARKit to make your augmented reality experiences as realistic as possible on iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro. RealityKit handles things like realistic lighting and shadows, motion blur and depth of field. It also takes care of real work physics and collision detection as well as animations.
You can even capture your own 3D objects using Object Capture to use in your augmented reality experiences.

I built my app using flutter and unity. Can I switch the Unity portion to RealityKit easily?
We need more about Vision Pro 😅
More on the way over the coming months. I pick mine up tomorrow.
M'lord! /kneel /bow Nice video! I remember on one of your old videos about arkit you mentioned the usdz format, and that was the first time i heard about that. It was "a while" ago. Keep it up Sean. Venture forth with honour, m'lord! 🧙♂
I actually references some of those "old" videos for my ARKit video and this one.
Great primer
Hey man great video, I'm binging all of them right now. You mentioned you'd drop the video on reality composer & pro... we're waiting big dawg
Got shut down for a while due to an illness. But I'm getting back to the videos soon.
Hi Allen, Thanks for the great video, when are you planning to release next videos regarding ARKit in visionOS
Thanks for the videos. My question regarding Reality Kit is if you can modify the shape of an object programmatically and where would you do it. I've seen here and elsewhere that you can create an object and then import it, but nowhere I've seen how their dimensions (length x width x height) can be edited. Thanks!
any vision OS courses?
I'm waiting until after WWDC this year and the annual iOS 18 update (or visionOS 2). I expect a TON of updates/changes.
Waiting for the video on how to use reality composer
Coming in a few weeks. I have a few other videos to knock out first.
Hi, Allen! What do you think Vision Pro is a good tool for developing? Do you planing to test it ?
Yup, I plan on testing this out. Still waiting to see how it goes.
Since apple new product came out, do you think the ios jobs will start opening up?
I think the overall economy has more to do with iOS jobs than the Vision Pro. After the era of tech layoffs (who knows how long that will last), we'll see iOS jobs come back.
Very interesting, thank you. However I believe if you want to have higher end apps for instance for training purpose etc... Using a 3D software and Unity will provide a cutting edge solution on Visio Pro. What do you think?
I'm not super familiar with that industry, so I don't really have an opinion.
Fair enough@@seanallen
OK. We need a banana in VR so we can use it to understand the banana for scale meme
I remember the capture as part of the sdk, there was even an example app and then the apis changed and it just vanished
I believe they built that into Reality Composer Pro
@@seanallen oh. Interesting. Thanks
If the iPad can do all this why can't the Vision Pro?
It can. Not sure what you are referring to.
👋
Never get tired of seeing those emotes :)
