I have a IOS 17.3.1 but I don’t have a scan option ? When I tap the +, it puts me in a new file and it doesn't offer me the option to capture an object. Why ?

I believe you need a pro iphone or ipad because you need the LIDAR sensor... I'm in the same situation

I have a problem with the white bars. Sometimes they just don’t appear in certain areas no matter how many times I go back and it’s frustrating. It’s always either that or being told to move closer even though I am already close. So now my phone is literally in the face of the object but I’m still being told to move closer.

I think you need devices that have a LiDAR so only apple pro products!

Hey does scanning work on non lidar iPhones.i can’t do it

me 3, tried on non lidar iphone and ipad running 17, when i open a new project in reality composer i am taken right into the project and not given the option to choose an anchor first, then when i choose anchor type obeject in the app i am given the option to start scanning, got one to almost work but when viewed in scene it is an empty box with an image on one side@@thefoodclinic329

Hate to say but yeah it needs lidar, the tech is built on lidar
