I've used ROKU for years. I have yet to be disappointed. Thank you for keeping us updated Luke. BTW, I really enjoy Hoopla from my public library. I also have Kanopy, but don’t use it as much.
@@rziulek Maybe I should have been more clear, I'm not talking about the roku channel channel, I'm talking about all the streaming services shouldn't be referred to as apps. I don't think you can correlate Netflix or Tubi to Instagram, FB or TikTok, which are applications in the sense they require input to get output, where as streaming is basically output.
There is more to "apps" then just streaming channels. One of Roku's biggest problems has always been it's lack of games, productivity apps, and basically anything other than streaming. Heck, they even call their version of the app store, "Channel store." If Roku only had the ability to sideload other types of apps, or even (dare I say it) cooperated with app developers instead of stubbornly resisting them...
I have to admit I did brought the latest ultra which I really didn’t like Roku devices but after they let put the smarters app and ibo player it’s a step in the right direction as far as making the device your own
The problem with Pluto is you can pretty much tell the time of day by what's playing.. because they have limited numbers of the shows and you see the same thing over and over again
I tried watching a Spanish movie on Pluto. In order to watch streaming. I had to create an account. After that, the subtitles were in Spanish! No English. Then, there about 20 commercials. I thought they would never end. After that, I gave up. Pluto just seems backwards. Tubi any day.
FYI: Luke, you only did 9 of th 10. You skipped over Zeam. You started on the top row and did those two and then you proceeded left right on the next two rows from left to right. 2+4+4 = 10 however you skipped over Zeam! Keep up the good work and don’t worry about missing that one 🥰👍🇺🇸
Do these channels allow you to pause live content and or on demand your viewing and come back and fast forward to catch up to present or to fast forward through a boring or uninteresting part?
Roku is the best because it has the fewest commercials. I love your channel and subscribe on every video like you say but I noticed I’m not always subscribed. Not sure what’s going on there
Roku updates provided on average 3 - 5 years. I have Roku from 2016 that still update. As long as it's attached to internet & electricity, it will automatically look for updates daily.
I don’t wanna say that and I don’t wanna be rude one freeve is Not shut down and either is Disney what you’re trying to say is a lie I don’t wanna be rude, but that’s the way it is. I haven’t looked up after breakfast.
Except you are being rude. Freevee hasn’t shut down at my house either but according to Amazon it will be folded into Prime. This was announced mid November.

TUBI is MY NO.# 1!
Pluto has way too many ads. Tubi is much better.
Tubi is fantastic
Agreed.
Agreed.
Roku is the best. It's easy to use, great selection, and new channels keep coming out.
You Da MAN Luke!! Excellent suggestions. I have all of them and watch them all the time.
Roku,Tubi, Pluto, PBS and PBS kids, Fawesome, filmrise, CW are the free apps i have on my tv. But i mostly watch Tubi or UA-cam.
Pluto commercial are too long
And too numerous!
And the same three ones ad nauseum.
Thank you for the great information. I had most of these except Xumo and Kanopy.
Tubi is the best! Currently rewatching Babylon 5 there.
My opinion is that Roku “channels” should not be categorized as “apps”.
💯 🎯 💯
Roku Channel is just like Pluto - an Ad Supported TV.

I don't watch Pluto channel anymore for that reason. It's such a waste.
Amen to that!😁There's a reason why it's free!

You still need an internet connection.
Unless you have a cell phone. Then you don’t need internet
I bought a Roku stick back in the summer but I haven’t used it yet. Will it have all of these new features or do I need to buy a more updated one?

Google TV > Roku
you should double check your facts before publicly stating them... ie. Freebee..jmo
It was announced mid November that Amazon will fold Freevee into Prime

Yes & No it will be folded in to Prime, the standalone app is going bye bye. Yes your being rude on purpose, I can hear the snark from here.
@@thistlemoon1 LOL when people say they don't want to be rude there is a 100 percent chance that they are being rude.
