Wrap the roots withSphagnum moss before placing it in the cork bark. The will keep the roots from drying out to quickly. Great set ups. 🙌
Great tip!
Aww, the guy who sent you sand is so sweet! That's lovely. You deserve awesome fans!
I'm sure someone has probably helped with the plant names but if not I wanted to at least try. I want to say plant 1 looks like rhaphidophora decursiva, that or possibly a type of monstera. Plant 2 is a peperomia but I just don't know the exact kind within that species of plant. Plant 3 is a philodendron micans. The peperomia likes to dry out before watering again but are very capable of living in a nice humid environment. They all practically thrive on it. Plants 1 & 2 will both vine and if conditions are good, their leaves will get enormous. The first if it is either of the two mentioned will also fenstrate. I am a houseplant person and if you ever need or want help, I'm always willing to try. Love your videos and look forward to future updates on your terrariums. 💚
you should use the vulcanic rock for Theraphosiane sp. Panama since they are called lava spiders, would be a fiting theme
They changed the name its Davus sp. panama now
@@waffles3539 thx for the update, did not know
He did say he was gonna use that one maybe
@@casitube22 might missed that part, I think it is a greate idea anyway, 10/10 would do if mine was still alive
Unfortunately that one is no longer with us :s
Plant one looks like a scindapsus it’s kind of like pothos, the second plant looks like either a begonia or a peperomia, the third plant is a philodendron micans which also grows like a pothos. These plants don’t need much water they are prone to root rot if they are overwatered.
thx!
I think it is a begonia indeed..
@@TheDarkDen No. 2 is definitely some kind of cane begonia.
If you like begonias in your enclosures, you need to check out begonia amphioxus. It’s one of the cutest plants for any high humidity environment, imo. The price really came down the last few years, so you should easily find one for under 10€. 😊
Love the enclosures! Adding the plants/decor is my favorite thing to do in preparing for an animal!
Use the sand for a volcanic island or a icelandic themed enclosure
Seriously, you are the best UA-camr ever. You are just a humble person who loves his hobby and animals. Much love for you Petko!
bro ngl the dark den has the best enclosures, just the look and realism are amazing
Amazing enclosures as always. I hate to admit it but I have constructive jealousy when it comes to your enclosures. Makes me want to step my game up. Love your content everybody needs some Dark Den videos in their day.
Hi Petko, hope you’re doing well today.
Great video from The Dark Den 🖤
Love it when you call things like isopods and springtails (little buggers) hahaha 🤪
Beautiful enclosures for Beautiful Tarantulas 🖤🕷️🖤🕷️xx
Well the are bugs, and they are little....so it's a logical XD
@@TheDarkDen 😂😂😂🤪
Every time Petko says "you see?" i find myself saying out loud: "yeah, i see".
haha
Black sand, volcanic stone and maybe some "black bat flowers" (Tacca chantieri) or "black star" (Zantedeschia) would look insane! Can't wait to see what you do with that. 😍
Gosh, a desert enclosure with that sand as substrate would look so good. Maybe with some of those bright orange assassin bugs? Or a scorpion.
Love the enclosures! I just recently got my 1st tarantula. A Tliltoclatl albopilosus female about 4 inches. She's so chill and has finally started using her burrow I made, and she's dug clear across the enclosure. Your videos have been the reason I've wanted one! Keep up the great work
Couple of ideas, the volcanic rock could be used for your assassin beetles as the colours would look good together. You should change the sand of 1 of your 6 eyed sand spiders to the black Icelandic sand as that would be really cool and the colours would pop especially if you did slow mo feeding clip
Just because you got a smaller bucket doesn't mean you aren't still dumping the dirt in!
but really, great video as always, I really enjoy your content.
Always love a good enclosure build. I love when you add your wood finds
I don't think I've seen one on your channel before but it'd be a great species to do a funky lava/hawaii-esque tropical with volcanoes enclosure would be an OBT! Bright orange and funky iridescent blue-green bits on the bottoms of their feets would look really nice with the lava rock and some fun tropical greenery!
Beautiful enclosures! That wood piece was a GREAT find!
I've really been debating on getting my first tarantula thanks to your videos.
Wow, she's the most beautiful spider I've seen in your Den; so far...
Love the big log enclosure. Very pretty
Matching enclosures are looking so sweet! Now for matching labels! >_< Great job and keep it up!
I haven't been getting regular notifications UA-cam is slacking .Love the black sand for texture .
Petko i had a phobia of arachnids did some therapy held my 1st ever tarantula your channel has helped massively thank you 😊
Dark Den Rehouse videos are always 🔥
Really nice set-ups!! And the Pokey shelf looks perfect.
I have to say that your enclosures are amazing, you have a great talent for making them look natural. The one with the piece of wood for the background is absolutely stunning, you could sell your own line of pre decorated enclosures! The feeling of a shelf complete is a fantastic feeling, I really enjoy watching you decorate the enclosures, I think we need to see that! You have the Harry Potter enclosure now I would love to see the Hobbits entering Mirkwood to run into Shelob, I think you could do that enclosure in your sleep!
for the soil try mixing wheat/rice husks or buckwheat husks that should give you some nice texture
I mentioned it before, but I vote for a shirt with the quote "sand for the texture" 😂 I would buy it!
So cool the sand. Propably nice for aquariums 😃😃😃
I'm just gonna say, I really appreciate the work you're doing and I really love your videos 💜💜💜
Love those enclosures! Both so nicely done and that black sand is crazy lol
I might have to try that dirty and cork bark background on one of my smaller enclosures next rehouse!
Hello great video information and rehousing Petcko
Mixing a small amount of river clay might make the dirt more firm and resistant to erosion overtime, and might require less dirt overall making the display lighter.
Plant 1: I assume it to be some sort Epipremnum sp., maybe E. amplissimum? Plant 2: it is some sort of Begonia sp. and Plant 3: I'm sure it is an Philodendron hederaceum var. hederaceum (soft and silky leaves) :)
absolutely beautiful enclosures! I really like the wood/ clay sand background
A tip to making sure plants dont dry out as fast is to put some sphagnum moss around the roots!
I can help a little with the plants! Not sure on the first but it could be some sort of pothos🤔 plant 2 is a begonia of some sorts and plant 3 is a philodendren micans or velvet leaf philodendren😁
The enclosures came out very nice Petko!
Nice job, as usual!! 👍✨🪵🌿🕷🕸
Wow Amazing your cage look so pretty and always done nicely thanks so very much Dark den love the sand too
the black sand would be perfect for a scorpion enclosure that requires a drier setup
That intro is amazing! Really creative!
LOVE THE VIDEO! EXCITED FOR THE REPITLES YOU WILL GET SOON
HMMM, I don't plat to get new reptiles any time soon xD
Always excellent. Keep'em coming my dude.
THIS CHANNEL GETS BETTER AND BETTER HALLELUJAH PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Beautiful enclosures, and the sand is a nice touch of color and texture! I'm sure your tarantulas will keep busy webbing and redecorating with poop. 🕷💩
I always love Petkos energy 😁
Elvira's new tank added well to the other three tanks. They look almost like one tank.
Nice new home for Elvira, even though she didn't seem too eager to move 😅
Great vid Petko luv the enclosures ..
Another great informational video. Thanks bro 👍
The third plant looks like a Philodendron Micans, and the first one also looks like a type of Philodendron (perhaps Scandens?). They're considered poisonous to use in a vivarium, but perhaps that isn't a problem for spiders?
Replacing that enclosure must have felt good and was exciting. =]
The best orange animal to put in with the volcanic rock would be Richard 😅
Look forward to all your videos. I live vicariously through you, since my wife won’t allow me to have any spiders of any kind. Just curious, how many spiders do you have now?
that sir is a nice looking shelf!
Hi Petko, you are the best. That's it. See you next video.
great video.....the enclosures look awesome
Instead of using normal sand for a scorpion enclosure you should use the black sans it would look awesome
Loved it! The Super Pokey Shelf
I have a phone app called "Seek" that uses machine vision to ID plants, seems to work pretty well on the local species I've tried it on.
Looks fantastic 😊
Plant 3 is a Philodendron mican
I was thinking that too.
I would advise caution with the Dairy Cow Isopods, they have a real appetite for protien, and can nibble on molts whether they are attached to the Tarantula or not 😅
너무 재밌게 보고 있어요~
전갈 영상도 많이 올려주세요~
You should put one of your sand spiders in the Icelandic sand!
The plant that's a stick is a begonia the long plant is philodendron micans not sure on the one with oval green leaves
Nice new homes for them 🙂
They look awesome!
petko you need to add some calcium stuff for the isopods
if not theres a chance they will seek some while the tarantulas molting and end up harming the tarantula
Best UA-camr good job of this Chanel and wish u well
Great video!
You should get a Goliath birdeater ( Biggest tarantula in the world ). It would be awsome
Where do you get all those leaves? Don't they become mouldy? I've had some similar ones but after like 3 days they had to be thrown away. Yet another great exposures, can't wait to see them all in new style! It looks great after the room refresh! Also, visual content looks great, pleasant to watch after the post-production. Keep up the good work!
Scorpions would be cool with the Black Sand i think.
Are you worried about those shelves bowing?
I am....
Would those big tarantulas have a go at the isopods?
You should place the lavarock in a enclosure with a Davus sp Panama (aka lava spider)
You can use the sand a the rock in a scorpion terrarium? A yellow scorpion on black sand would look awesome
good idea!
Lava sand..... for the lava spider ?? mhhmmm haha ( Davus sp Panama).... gonna be sweeeeeet !!
Looks like your terrestrial shelves are beginning to sag just a little, Petco. I'd do a little reinforcement on the middle of each shelf before one breaks and you have tarantulas running around your house.
They look like that for the past 4 years haha
scorpion enclosure would look cool with black sand
The enclosures look great on you, but it would be good for us viewers to see the label with the map of origin of the tarantula on your enclosures.👌 Thanks for your videos.
Loved the video, but I think your shelves need some bracing added.
The plant, in the enclosure with the fake background, is gonna get it messy.
Please make more vids about the Junglearium ❤
I have a idea for you use the black sand with some scorpions and sandspider
try the philippine orange tarantula or the bloody red of luzon for your black sand 🙂
I think that plant is called a pepperomia
Great video
Awesome as usual ;)
Have you already shown us how to put together those bigger enclosures using your black parts? I'd be very happy if you could share that as well since I would love to have 30x40x30 terras :D
😮 black sand from the black hills of Iceland 😮
I got a question, if the hide is not big enough, will spider get stuck when they molt?
Sooo cool!
Petko, do You sterilize this dirt before putting it into the terrarium?
While watching the video i notice that some of your shelf slightly bend , u may use some support in your shelf , must be bcoz weight of enclosure
