- Was supposed to be a wild day camp, but unfortunately things took a turn for the worst...
Anyway I set out nice and early to make the most of the day. Equipped with an Aluxe sil hexpeak V4 for a shelter.

Get the lbe molle 2 waist belt and shoulder straps for that pack and you will never put it down. Very comfortable

The "pits", all the effort to get out there, and sudden illness. Makes me think about broadening my first aid field meds., with an assumption getting ill at the wrong time. Take care.

I remember years ago , I made a wild camp in the Shining Rock Wilderness , , it was deer season , , I had a heavy pack on , but made a fine camp. . I had a bad cold & cough , , so my Dr. kindly gave me some codine cough syrup to take , , so I took it , but took too much of it. . made me sick as a dog , , weak I was , , and way way back away from any help. . no cell phones in those days, , so I crawled on my hands & knees to get out of there.. I had a small am/fm radio with me , and I found a gospel channel
that came in crystal clear , , and I crawled out of there listening to ' amazing grace. . Amen :-)

Yeah mate I'm good now thank you, just some bug i must have picked up..Oh yeah it's an old one mate, the egg in a pop bottle, baitcaster (Chris) did the same thing in one of his vids. Last time I did it i (other than this time) made an 18 egg omlett, my dad and i scoffed the lot...That was over kinver edge a few years ago..... My dad sat on his stool to eat the omlet out of his mess tin and ended up flat on his back covered in the stuff hahhah

Ahhh mate, sorry you didn't feel to good, I know exactly how you feel Mike, my son gets bad migraines the same, all of a sudden it kicks in he's always sick and proper off his food, he sleeps for a few hours then wakes up fine.. . You didnt look too pretty towards the end lol. It has happened to me a couple of times and the ironic thing is that prior to starting to feel ill I felt great both times. The last time was down to a dehydrated meal. What stove is that mate? thanks
Hi Denis, the stove is the Bushbox XL this is the stainless version of it. They also now make a titanium version or so I believe. It's a fantastic stove but wow it's heavy and quite expensive, but in saying that should last more than a lifetime as it's built like a tank lol.
