- Oh how things have changed over the last few weeks!
I welcome you to come join me in my local woodlands that I often wander through getting my daily exercise, and gaining some peace of mind. You've all been on my mind a lot and this is just a quick video to say hello and to talk about keeping as positive as we can, as spring in the woodlands shows there's always hope.
Thank you for watching, I do hope you find some relaxation and peace of mind listening to the wildlife and beautiful birdsong.

Always a pleasure, Mike. So good to see you well and resting. I’m a great believer in the good of symbolic gestures... like your candle lighting. Like taking a little wolf nap with us and the birds for company. They can be very healing. Even downright magical at times.

Hello from Australia. We're rapidly heading into winter and it's lovely to see the spring sunlight shining down in the English woods. Enjoy it and take care.
We have very similar thouhts about life and the world. My dear spouse died in cancer in February. There are always dreams , but they don t always come true. Beutiful memories just remain. It s always nice to watch your videos ! Among them , I have had strength to carry on ! Here in southern Finland it is still a bit chilly , but spring is coming ! Thank you Mike ! Another great video Mike, thanks for taking us along on your bit of exercise. That beer and a hammock would have me taking an hours snooze in that nice woodland, just laying back listening to nature is relaxing on its own. Cracking knife that spyderco, I have the lansky uk legal knife which is similar, for everyday carry and tasks. Mother Nature works in mysterious ways, stats are already indicating British Wild life will flourish this year, Birds,Hedgehogs and many more on the back of the Coronavirus pandemic

Its amazing at just how bright Jupiter is in the nights sky, like you say its because of less pollution.
Indeed, just listening just how much more birdsong there is tells us that nature is thriving.
Strange and sad times, im not sure things shall ever be the same again after this. The world's become too small a place.

Had a similar woodland walk yesterday evening. Very reflective as i sat in the woods watching three Deer go about their business for about 20mins. The pay off for hiking in camo looking like a nutter.

Hi , i am furloughed at the moment for three months or as i like to call it laid off. I dont my leaveing my job behind as a bus driver in the city its very stressfull as one can imagine .To watch your and other backpackers videos is great for me and reminds me of my youth and what i got up to. Now iam coming up to my twilight years alot of things i have to pack up because of my health beer pasties coffee bread and camping because of my arthritis things your sacrifuce when you get older .once again thanks for your videos .oh and like the airborne top ...

A very relaxing video Mike. Sat here on a Saturday night with a beer enjoying the English countryside from afar. They’ve just today relaxed lockdown restrictions here in Queensland and me and the missus were able to get out and visit a few of our favourite local spots. It was great to see so many families once again enjoying our beautiful surroundings. Good to see you again mate. ATB Jason.

Another well shot video and thought provoking trip into the woods. Brought back many happy memories of growing up in Somerset and being out in the woods during spring to see and smell the blubells...my favourite time of the year. So lucky you can still go out. Over here in Malaysia under our lockdown, we're only alowed out to do essential food shopping or to get medecine.....and even then, only 1 person allowed in the car. As you said, dark times indeed but positives can be drawn from Mother Earth having a break from the pollution and wildlife flourishing with global lockdowns. Back to family values and the simple things in life and not rampant consumerism. Take care, stay safe and thanks for sharing your trip and your thoughts. ATVB from sunny and locked down Malaysia 😎😷

What a wonderful surprise to find another video from you in the midst of all this uncertainty and chaos in the world. I'm so glad you're well at this time and hope you are being safe.
I loved the gesture of the memory candle 🕯...very touching and sentimental. It crushes my soul to think of how many people we've lost worldwide in such a short time.
It felt very nice to just relax along with you under the canopy of the trees 🌳 and listen to the birdsong 🐦. I could almost feel the breeze and the sway of your hammock. Seeing the forest start to come back to full life and the bluebells popping through the ground covering all around brings some hope, doesn't it? I truly hope we are able to return to some degree of normal soon.
I'm kind of in a higher risk group with my age and my autoimmune condition, as well as asthma which is in full flare right now with allergy season. I get to leave the house maybe once every two weeks to pick up groceries I've ordered on line. It's been cold and rainy recently and only just today was I able to drive to one of the school grounds, now deserted, and walk around the perimeter a time or two with my little dog. The sun was shining 🌤 and it was a bit warmer. I'm thankful I have a fairly big backyard so at least I get out with the dog several times a day just to feel and smell the fresh air.
Thank you Mike for making time in your busy and I'm sure preoccupied life right now to share some peace and tranquility with us. Please take steps to be safe. Until next time ✌.

One positive thing about all this lockdown is time spent with the kids. Also the air has never been so fresh. It shows that we can still turn everything off & get by, meaning Aircraft & just how unnecessary travelling is for the larger part. Give the Earth time to heal up a bit. @@xCodeView I'm lucky as well for I have a forest within 5minutes walking distance I can go to with the daughter and the dog and just chill and enjoy the nature,you have to do it or I would seriously lose my mind,but in northern Ireland your never to far away from a forest ,cheers for the video Mike people need it more than ever, All the best😉
knifes mines fixed blade on my belt tbs bore and tbs lock knife I don't want it closeing on my fingers

I carry a mora on my belt and use that while out on camp. The spyderco is an edc that's on me all day everyday, its a slip joint because thats how our laws are here. As you may know the ukpk can't close on your fingers as the finger choil makes the blade impossible to bite your fingers.
