    Hello, I am also a lover of Suzuki samurai and I have enjoyed all your videos of the restoration of your Samurai. I tell you that I live on the Island of La Palma in the Canary Islands (perhaps you are familiar with the fact that in 2021 we had a volcanic eruption). It is a small island but with magnificent landscapes and routes for 4x4 vehicles. I encourage you to continue publishing your interesting videos.

    Great videos. Don’t lose faith. You’re doing great. I like your videos. It’s the grass roots restorations of something you want to drive is compelling!
    Title your next video. Samurai restoration so I can get a Lamborghini! Then in the opening tell the world you’ll get a Lamborghini at 1 million. I know it’s click bait. But you’ve got to work your titles into searches.

      Thank you. I don't want to click bait anyone but if it were something true then it's not click bait right? Hey thanks again!

    You asked us to share your videos. FYI - I’ve shared them on a few FB Jimny forums, among them a Swedish one because you’re so much better than most.

    Sanding the jerrycan when filled with water and it won’t act like a drum.

      You always have good ideas but by the time I hear them I've already done it the hard way. I'm gonna need you to start watching the videos before I make them, lol.

    Those Scepter plastic Jerry cans are fairly inexpensive new, like $45-$50 (they also make water cans) or you can find the older metal milspec cans at flea markets or antique junk shops for $20-$30. I think Harbour Freight sells that style of metal jerry can as well. Good luck on the build.

      Dude I was about to light it on fire on day 2 but I figured even if I bought a new one I'd still have to paint it to match, so I just kept going lol. Thank you!

    By the way, the installation of the arch that holds the canvas hood is missing a piece for it to work well and also in the upper front part you are missing a plastic piece that holds and seals the hood so that air does not enter when you drive fast. I apologize for my low level of English.

      I know I'm missing a piece in the back, this top will be getting replaced so hopefully it comes with it. On the front, are you talking about the strip of plastic sewn into the top that slides into the groove all the way across? I have that part, only problem is when it's in the groove, the 2 buttons don't line up on the corners of the A pillars. I'm hoping the replacement one lines up better. Hey thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.

    First( very rough )video of my 1980 LJ80v. Just used footage from a few weeks ago and did a voiceover. Have added subtitles in case my Australian accent indiscernible 😂. Pulling the body lift out tomorrow actually and replacing with a kit.ua-cam.com/video/rQfAPWn1xMc/v-deo.htmlsi=G-GE-puUu1_yhGQE

    Have you thought about rhino lining the Jerry can ?

    • @FixLife119
      @FixLife119  3 місяці тому

      Had I known how much of a PITA it was going to be I definately would have. You don't have to get the surface nearly as smooth for the bed liner to still come out great. I was trying to keep the gray and black contrast and kinda thought that would be too much black, but in hindsight, after sanding and painting and sanding and painting for 3 days, the black would have been just fine lol.

      Yes sir. I'll see if there's any markings and show how they mounted it etc. It won't be in tomorrow's video (it's already being edited) but the next one.

    I read some place that there are color regulations for jerrycans in the U.S. Is that true?

    • @FixLife119

      I'm not sure. I have a clear one, a red one, and now a gray one. I'd prob only fill it if I was going way out in the back country. Most cities that gas can would be stolen in 2 minutes. If it was red 45 seconds lol. I should prob put a sticker on it that says "Sugar Water, Not Gasoline" lol.
