Hey Rob and everyone. Just like the mics, solid review. These truly have been hidden for too long. Price, road ready and no real concession in sound quality. Got mine in 11/2021 for those exact reasons and nice to see my fav drum channel likes them too. Incredible versatile set also. I have used the bd1 on a bass cab, st4 on el. guitar cab and voice and the oh2’s on acoustic guitar. Like you said, sound guys love the eq-room they have on these. The low price actually made me doubt them for a bit, but having some presonus gear and software that i love, i went for it, amazing value. I never really like anything that’s good ‘for its price’ but love it when the price is a bonus. These fit that (small) bill very well. All the best.
Thank you for the review. I wish we could have heard the close mics without the overheads. It is hard to judge the sound quality with the overheads always on.
These do sound good and look good. Your entire set up looks good. I'm our church drummer and I like things looking neat. Maybe a future video cold be your mic cable recommendations. I would like to have cables with 90° connectors on the mic end that will help better route the cable for aesthetics.
with regard to: THE CLASSIC TROUBADOURS. - Rob, the "moves and the grooves" that you are laying down for that band is something to be admired ! LOVE IT
I’m considering these mics or possibly the Samson DK707 set. I like these overheads more that the Samson, but the Samson bass drum mic seems to deliver more thump. The bass drum mic is the only one holding me back.
awesome i just this set on sweetwater. the company is great will use these on my rehearsals & live gigs. thanks. tommy2stixx pnw drummer. i love watching your videos drumming 45+ years.
Muchas gracias por la revisión,en mi país Guatemala incrementan 50 dólares más, pero aun así estoy convencido de la calidad de micrófonos para mi batería
More importantly, Merry Christmas to to ya! Thanks for all the amazing vids this year. Have a great holiday. Looking forward to seeing what 2024 is the year of………
How many people have a discerning enough ear to hear if $500 or $10k was spent on drum sound reinforcement mics? This question applies to the majority of the sound guys and gals also. Besides, when it becomes necessary, with a good selection of quality, used preamps the sound of 90% of mics can be achieved at a big savings compared to those high dollar mics. And if and when the time comes in any drummers future the preamps will still be needed anyway. Way to much time has been spent on mics. Their most important feature for all travelling mics is reliable durability.
Okay for the price (and it's a GREAT price) but I think the Shure PG series packs are better sounding. Your comment about the clips and McDonalds is 100% accurate LOL
Yea. I don’t really care about mic’ing my hats. The overheads pick em up just fine for me. Even if I did stick a mic on them I’d probably only creep that fader up a touch.
I have the Tama Studio Maple kit with the wood hoops. I am wondering if you have any suggestions for a budget mic clip that will fit over some wood hoops?
thanks! im a singer and a drummer. if i wanted to use the xvive to hear myself sing/the backing track for one song, would i be able to go to the drums in the middle of a set to sing/hear the backing track while playing drums with this to?? or would i need to take my in ears out of the reciever and plug them into the mixer by the drums?
I’m drama who been drumming nearly 3 years and I have that kit but it didn’t come with cables cords UBS what is the best ones to get? Love your style of drum.

Got this mic set a year ago man, it sounds great! I still use my sm57 as a top snare mic and put the presonus under the snare. Fully recommend it.
Those drums are SINGIN!! 🤩 Great video, Rob!
These mics are impressive and off the chain! Just grabbed the dm-7 pack for my church drums. Thank you Rob for this impactful video!
How'd they work? I'm getting some for our ministry aswell
I want to replay the old mics at my church, how do they sound?
Just ordered them thank you Rob.
I'm not a working drummer but I need these. x
Nice tuning job. Mics sound great.
Not too shabbs, eh?!

Oh, thanks man! It's a fun show and we're just gettin started 😎
£205.00 for these in da UK. Get it.
If they are good enough for Rob Brown, they are good enough for anyone for any venues
Impressive.. sound...BeatDown Rob. Happy Holidays...!!

The groove at 5:24 makes me think of The Whisper Song
Nice demo Rob. Mics look and sound decent too. I like these little hidden gems style videos of the things that work for you. Cheers.

These legitimately sound great
They sound great! Could easily use them for live or recording
Yea, man. We don't need a $1500 mic set for gigging. Waste of dough. These boys will do the job

Merry Christmas From The Cooper’s Cleburne, Texas

Interesting. I'll look into it. Thks.
Nice to see you trot out your Flow exercise. Sounds good.

Shure's 7-mic pack (PGADRUMKIT7) costs $250 more.
@@damon_aaron I didn't say it was cheaper, I said it was better sounding
ok dude, we're now waiting for your video of juggling these on stage.
Hahaha. I'll put that on the list for next year
Good video Rob, what about the hi-hat? Do you use the OH?

Should I get these or Yamaha ead10?
Can you buy additional mics if you have more Toms?
Thx Rob!!!
I want to hear about that kit that's at the theater.
Check out my recent video on the new kit. Yamaha Stage Hip 🔥
I’m drama who been drumming nearly 3 years and I have that kit but it didn’t come with cables cords UBS what is the best ones to get? Love your style of drum.
Great!
Was that kick drum part a Justin Timberlake riff?
The Remo rings for your toms. That gel barely helps
A small price to pay for a great sound!!! We put tons of money in our other gear !
Does the bass drum mike come with the stand?
Nope
🤔 you sure its not just that monster phx kit? 😂 , man what size are those toms..... awesome sounding
Ha. Just 10, 12 & 16. But it’s a PHX, so times that by 3.14 🔈🔉🔊
That mid tom is a bit Histrionic.
