This is an no mods *, vanilla, Cities Skylines let's play series with a focus on creating realistic city design with lots of detail. We'll be building a fully functional and efficient city with mass transit networks, tourism and industry including all DLC and content creator packs. The series is based on mostly live gameplay mixed in with detailing timelapse's. * I use line tool and forest brush to speed up the recording process and be able to produce more content for you!

That train station is so cool, the sunken set up is something I'm 100% gonna steal! Having the metro go right to ground level is amazing. Always love me a good transport hub. The one thing it's missing imo is a quicker way from the train station to the tram hub, wandering up and down that slope every time would get tiring. Maybe a small pedestrian bridge from the tram hill right to the front of the train station would work. Irl there'd be a direct bridge ofc, but sadly cities can't do that.
When you build the big central park, I think a zoo asset or two could work really well. The monkey palace(I think) is such a cool asset that looks like an old fashioned university building or botanical garden. Could fit on really well with the vibe.
Love seeing the beginning of the downtown. Your planning is wonderful to watch.The different types of roads with trams , busses and bicycles and metro, trains is a masterclass. Looking forward to the park, too.
Can’t wait to see the skyscrapers come in! One trick I love doing when you don’t want to create too many road junctions and all the driving that brings is to add a short amount of pedestrian road to join up to an existing t-junction to allow pedestrians through but not normal traffic. I think it looks better than just a path, though you do have to remove zoning on it otherwise you’ll get the warnings

I'm a sucker for a road network and abnormal grids, so this was a win right away. :D The train station looks great! Also, thinking about how you do this in Vanilla is really something - I keep saying things to myself like "move that, change that, block this".... and then "oh yeah, vanilla". Great work!

I am so in awe of how everything flows in your cities. Thanks for a good look at your forward planning. I think a city zoo would be a great thing to put into your ginormous park. I'm thinking along the lines of the Bronx Zoo in New York City or the Berlin Zoo maybe. Whatever you decide, I know it will be great.

Can I recommend using double line metro stations to connect to your existing line instead of branching. Would also enable a downtown loop if wanted.

Sunken station nice, the one way end of highway reminds me of the M4 into West London.
Hyde park road is nearly the same shape.

37:52 That one piece of metro rail that’s ground mode, you could consider keeping it that height but making it an elevated piece to match the others and add that little fencing on the side. I don’t need to tell you how obviously 😂
Edit: unless… you can’t connect elevated to a street. Didn’t think about this. Not sure whether you can
