How to start your Jeep/Chrysler if your key fob dies.

Ever been stranded with a dead battery in your key fob? In this video we take a look at Jeep’s Fobik Keyless GO system, aka Push-To-Start smart key system with a backup slot to start the car just in case your fob stops working. Here’s a list of other vehicles that have this backup feature.

this can be done without removing the button just hold the fob next to the button and it will read. The battery in your fob is only to amplify the signal... at least it was in my nissan but i also have a jeep. Havent had to test it but i assume its the same

Am I missing something here? If it’s just the key fob battery that’s dead popping that piece off is not necessary! Just push the fob up against the button and push it and the car will turn on.
