The “I’m bored, you’re boring me” is a call back to goku saying that when he fought Freeza
And also to the scene on a flying ship when Chi-chi told him to study more cellular biology, when he responded it's boring.

"You're boring me." Is a double reference, the first is it's the same thing Goku said to Freeza in episode 30, and the second is Gohan's reaction to the biology textbook Chi-Chi wanted him to read: "But mom, cells are boring."

They don't really talk about it in Abridged but the reason Goku went to King Kai's planet is because of the way his teleport works. He has to have an energy source to sense and he didn't want to go to any habitable planets which would kill innocents. Kai's place was the only place he could sense with minimal casualties.
I think the logic was that they had minimal casualties and that they live in otherworld anyway lol

I believe it was also specifically King Kai's suggestion originally. Though, that said, don't blame them for deciding to go the route of "Hey, King Kai, what should I do with Cell?", because it is *incredibly* funny.

I thought Cell was meaning not to get pissed off when Gohan told him "your boring me" because Goku said the same thing to Freeza during the ending of the fight on planet namek
By vegeta move he meant like when vegeta used final flash and made everyone scared he’d destroy the planet even tho he wasn’t going too. By frieza move he meant causefrieza tried to blow up the planet, so “is this a vegeta move or a frieza move” means “is he gonna blow up the planet or is he just aiming at gohan only

Calling this a fight is a bit much. This is more like a one sided beatdown. Also, little fun fact, in the manga, the Cell Juniors don't actually turn to dust. Gohan quite literally rips some of them apart. However, because they aren't completely destroyed, and we know Cell can regenerate from pretty much anything, some of the Cell Juniors are still around. Just in the manga of course.
It has never been shown that they are like Cell and can regenerate. It's just been censored in the anime.
@@Honerkamp Well regardless on if it has been shown or not, they are still around in the manga. So whether it was on screen or another thing Toriyama had in mind but forgot about doesn't really matter. Like many things in the series, it just is what it is.

If I remember correctly the cell juniors appear way after and actually battle goten and trunks when being park rangers, they’ve actually turned out good and it was a big misunderstanding, I might be wrong tho

Someone pointed this out, if you notice, Masako went down a note for ssj2 Gohan, a lower registry than normal Gohan, but still higher pitch than Goku. Nice voice acting

Fun Fact: None of the Cell Jr died. They regenerated like Perfect Papa C and now live with their Uncle 17.
That's technically a completely different continuity, but it is a nice detail.

The Cell Jr deaths are way more brutal in the manga. The one he decapitates that bursts into smoke, in the manga, Gohan's hand swipes through its head and you see the brains and eyes in the splatter.

So, first off I just want to state that you aren't alone in misinterpreting that line, every reactor I've ever seen has misunderstood it. Goku isn't referring to the Kamehameha, he means the whole "shooting a desperate attack straight at the planet with the intent of destroying it" thing.
Also they hinted King Kai’s Death in the movie, in Broly, King Kai States: “That guy is gonna be the death of me”

Honestly I'm really glad about how they gave their version of Goku a "redemption" of sorts. Instead of making him seem like a complete idiot, they made him serious and apologize to Gohan about everything.
The way Goku acted throughout the Cell Games is the only time I can call him a bad father, especially since Toriyama seemed to put emphasis on that as well.

When he asked if it was genetic the answer is yes it kinda is. Saiyan DNA plus the super Saiyan forms make you more rage focused with it increasing the higher form you go.
I'm inevitably impressed on how you easily forget even the simplest scenarios
So, fun thing about these episodes: each part was premiered on Twitch a week apart. Part 1 had something like 25k viewers, and the third peaked in the neighborhood of 35-40k.
During each premier there were so many subs and donations that we *broke their software* through sheer volume. On Part 3 it broke like ten minutes before the actual start of the episode. If memory serves I think chat itself was starting to break and glitch from the bazillions of comments. It was pure, glorious chaos the entire time. Eventually it devolved into everyone just posting blocks of emotes because there was no way in HFIL anyone could've actually read a single comment before it was gone.

15:45 The Instant Transmission only works if you can sense the energy of the person you want to teleport to. And the reason Goku in the original story took Cell to King Kai is because, for Goku, it's the place for Cell to self-destruct and minimize the casualties resulting from the explosion.
The sound drop on gohans kamehameha just adds to the moment so nicely

For those that didn't know the reason why Goku's sacrifice was supposed to be a sad moment was because originally the dragon balls could only bring back a person 1 time and that's all and since Goku died in the sayin ark this ment he was gone for good. The reason it's joked about is because shortly after this they state the nemaken dragon balls could bring a person back infinitely however only Goku knew where. So they stated let's use Earth's dragon balls to go to new namek and use the dragon balls there to wish him back and return back home.
The most perfect thing from this video is how you were completely oblivious to where goku was going- JUST like King Kai and Cell, and when they showed up on the Kai planet King Kai screamed, YOU followed suit and screamed, and then Cell screamed and exploded. That shit had me dying 💀💀
At 8:00 notice that in addition to goku being dumb both, Vegeta and Freeza tried (as a d*** move) to blow up the planet they fought on once they lost control. So Goku's question here was actually accidentally smart.
Gotta admit. TFS actually made this scene way more chilling than in the OG show. Like, mere moments after he first went SSJ2, Gohan basically was acting like he finally snapped and went full on psycho.
Especially with the "I'm not dome pulling the wings off this butterfly yet" one lol
and it doesnt have the cringe OG narration that talks over gohan being transformed. they just play it straight like the moment deserves

Fun fact: Super Saiyan 2 wasn't officially called like that back when it was first introduced. Naming the stages with just numbers started in the Buu saga, at the same time Super Saiyan 3 was first shown off. Before that, guidebooks would refer to the various Super Saiyan upgrades by numbered grades. In-story, they were all lumped together as just "beyond Super Saiyan".
To illustrate:

- Super Saiyan Grade 2, called Ascended Super Saiyan by the English fandom (the one Vegeta used)

“Mindless monster” is basically how a Sayian becomes whenever they awaken a new transformation. The stronger they get the more primal they become (SSJ3 with his caveman like brow and SSJ4 basically being a WereApe) and really feed on their instinct for battle and can lose sight of the big picture. So yeah, this version is actually closer to what happened in the original manga. In the actual anime they make it somewhat of a battle, but in the manga, Gohan basically puts Cell down in 3 panels. It's more realistic to the power difference. Gohan was likely even far beyond cell when he comes back as Super Perfect form. The only reason the final clash was close was due to him tanking the hit to save Vegeta.

It's funny to think that the only thing people love about Gohan is his strenght and psychopathy when he snap, it's a little bit fucked up if you stop to think about it. He never had the chance to make a choice in his life, he was always an item to be used in someone's plan... Goku's plans, Raditz's plan, Piccolo's plans and even Chichi's plans. The only thing he did by himself was becoming the Saiyaman, maybe this is the only way he can truly express himself. What a sad man.

Another fun fact: cell made 7 cell jr's, but Gohan bodied 8.
In the original story, since Goku can only teleport to a person whose ki he can sense (meaning he can never teleport to a deserted location), he took Cell to King Kai's planet because that was where the explosion would cause the least casualties. The only other choice was New Namek, and that was too far for him to get to without a stop over at King Kai's planet anyway.
i have a question though... how can goku teleport to somewhere in what is basically spirit world? like don't you have to be dead to go there?
Honestly, that also pisses me off how no one took the opportunity to finish off Cell themselves once he became Semi Perfect again, and when they noticed Gohan is taking too long, especially Piccolo.
And this is what leads into the next DBZ movie. (which they sadly couldn’t make an abridged version of)
Bojack Unbound! The space pirate that King Kai talked to throughout DBZA is the villain and was stuck in his planet…which Goku just caused to get blown up.
Its sad they couldn’t make it because I would have loved to see how they handled Bojack in it and his explanation to Gohan about how he knows Goku and everything. 😂
OMG i never pieced that together. all this time I never understood why they included those shut up Bojack lines. that would've been fun to finally pay off

Apparently, the Bojack material was really difficult to translate into a parody. That, plus an exhausted TFS, meant the end of an era.
@@derianvandalsen I can understand why it’d be difficult since Bojack seemed pretty friendly whenever he talked during the series so him becoming a villain in the Abridged movie would be kind of hard to think about.
Honestly I think it’d be funny if he and the rest of his group came to Earth and they wanted to compete in the tournament as well as meet Goku’s friends, but because of one of them accidentally killing a competitor (say he didn’t hold back as much as he thought he did), everyone thinks they’re villains and attacks them.
Inevitably leading to the whole movie being caused by an accident and misunderstanding. That’d be an interesting way to go about making an abridged version of it.
But yeah, I can understand that they were burnt out and they kept having trouble uploading new episodes/movie thanks to Toei (I think it was). So yeah, I’m not upset they stopped because it saved them from a lot of stress and burnout.
I’m just sad we never got to see the Bojack movie abridged.
