- This is the 3rd chapter of my MSE in Marina di Campo, Elba. After this we have to take care about the Avionics. This will be an very expensive chapter...
Thanks for everyone who helped to pull this off!
I loved the Jimmy’s World “can I get a…CLEAR PROP”
Wow! What a nice Monney! You are lucky it didnt have any serious problems.
Actually you are completely right. I bought it out of an impulse but I was lucky!!😬
@@73erKadett i cant wait to see what else you do with it!
@@JD96893 Avionics needs updating and rather sooner than later some cosmetic repairs…
Engine is the easy part! Tube framing is known rust. There's actually an AD on some 70's and prior models in the US. I suspect you guys did a thorough inspection of that before closing it up and flying.
Ya, I wonder where it went from here. I hope he breaks even and another Mooney is still flying. There is a lot of at least surface corrosion and that has to be taken care of and painted or that will get much worse quick. If those tanks were dry for 5 years I would not be surprised if they start leaking.
On the up side he has learned a lot about his plane. Much more than the average pilot that didn't have all that much work done to get it flying.
Outstanding! Congrats!
Any update?
Looooooooooove this, I want to see it flying….
The avionics look pretty good to me. Maybe an ADSB transponder and get rid of the storm scope. Get an in/out transponder with Bluetooth and get weather and traffic on the iPad with fore flight. Lots of capability there!
The mooney is a great plane but not for all pilots. It's not a flying club plane. Landing must be soft. ( 200 hours on mooney ).
Glad to see you got it flying. This was a year ago. What happened? I am interested on how much you ended up putting into it.
When is the first test flight?
I noticed the inner main gear doors are missing. Do you have them?
Yes, I have them. Thanks, though.
@@73erKadett I own a 1984 Mooney M20J. You are going to love it. It's a great cross country airplane.
