Hearing and listening are NOT the same thing. One is automatic the other requires intentional thought. Being a great listener takes practice as shown here in this fun game
You're right MOMS, listening requires a lot more intentionality. Indeed, the reason we are all born with 2 ears & 1 mouth is not that we should listen twice as often as speaking, but that listening requires twice as much effort!
