A really easy way to get this started quickly (rather than forming two lines) is just say everyone introduce yourself to someone next to you. That's now your first competitor. If you have an odd person out, they just end up playing someone in the 2nd round. We did this in an auditorium of about 600 college students.
For sure! One other thing I forgot to note is that in the instructions We had the participants chant the *name* of the person they were supporting, rather than just cheering in general. That way they were reinforcing the name of a handful of people they could recognize later after the Icebreaker.
"go from 0 to 100": "hello everybody" "Hello! Wooo! (ruckus applause)" I think we have different definitions of "0" 😅 But none the less, excellent icebreaker! I'm definitely adding this to my list. And wish I was at that event right now 😁 And liked and subscribed 👍
Hi! I'm new to your channel, seeing first the icebreakers with Rebecca, and then this most fun icebreaker! Thanks for sharing - now I have something to break the ice for my new English language class next month!
I am a tertiary teacher, I have tried so many icebreakers for new students, including something similar to RPS. Icebreakers never work with young adolescent adults (17-25). Feedback I’ve received; was that icebreakers makes them nervous and conscious. I think this is a result of online learning during Covid, esp with creatives. Best icebreaker sofar; just let it happen naturally don’t force it. Forcing it will result in more awkwardness. Just my opinion.
You're spot on, icebreakers are tricky. Sometimes they can be very cringy and make people feel awkward. We choose them depending on the group, situation, and purpose. In this case, the group consisted of people who mostly knew each other online. The event was a social gathering and didn't require any concentration afterwards. In the end, the icebreaker helped to bring the energy up, gave them a topic of conversation, and also allowed them to interact with each other quickly. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
coool...a small detail from video i also like: the facilitator raising hand, and all others raise hand and listen...super easy visual hack ..:) love it...and Rebecca you did an amazing job :)
Thanks Andreas! Yeah, we love to use that super easy trick to bring people to stop talking and focus back on the facilitator. After it's established at the start of the session it's very easy to keep implementing. Glad you liked the video. Cheers!

Thanks for the tip Jeff! It must have been amazing running this icebreaker with 600 students. Cheers

Love it. That was so cool.
Thank you Sandra!
Easily one of the best type of ice breakers I've been part of!
Amazing! thanks
I can't wait to share this game with my school audiences. Thank you so much for this phenomenal ice breaker!

I've tried this one before and it's just amazingly fun! Great video as always!!!
Thank you!!
Greetings from Barcelona, -I will be trying this out in a week as an ice breaker for an after-lunch activity in an 8 hour training :=)

A fantastic icebreaker, thank you so much for sharing!

This was great, will definitely try this exercise with my colleagues!
Can you guys recommend a 3 minute virtual mood check for an on-line team meeting? Thank you!
Fast forward to 2:15 if you want to get to the point 😫
Love this idea!
Love the idea, we did it with more than 250 people and it was a blast - perfect after lunch when everyone needs to get back to speed 🚀
That sounds great. Yeah, this is a perfect after lunch energizer! Thank you
Really fun and getting people to be silly breaks down any barriers instantly!
love this idea, going to try it out
can someone tell me what is that lower third? at 0:29
Do yo have ice breakers which involve music apart from musical chairs and freeze dance?
It seems like you had an amazing time! Definitely going to use it!
Oh yeah, we had an amazing time. Cheers Therapon!
How does it tend to work with groups that arent a power of two? (I.e. not 4, 8, 16, 32 etc...)
Great video !!
Thanks!!
That's great! How long it took to you to do this warm up?
Hey! the entire exercise took around 10 minutes total with 50 participants. Cheers
It scales very very well. Even if you have 1,000 people, it only takes 10 rounds to arrive at a winner.
I’ll try this. I’m. Curious if there’s something similar for a small group
I want to work there!
Brilliant idea Rebecca 😊
Glad you think so! Thanks
This was fun!
soooo fun
This was so cool, haha
Amazing👏🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
Wine helps 😊🎉
I was there. It was Epic!
It was great to have you there!
Me too! Thanks for sharing this @AJSmart
niceee
Fantastic! I can't wait for the opportunity to try this!!! It looks WILD!
It was WILD!! Glad you liked it. You're going to have lots of fun. Cheers!
This is a brilliant icebreaker! Can’t wait to try it in my next workshop
Thank you!! Let us know how it goes. Have fun!
I'm sure HR and legal would have to sign off on these and get consent from attendees before starting.
hahahaha maybe
