- August 2nd is the one year anniversary of L’Manberg independence. I wanted to do something special for the anniversary, so I reached out to some of the first ever Dream SMP artists! Kanaya and Beetlebug were so kind to lend me their vocals. I had a lot of fun working with both of them! I don’t think I’ve ever spent more time on a song than I did with this one. For the past two months, my producer, Grace, and I have been grinding away. I also hired several musicians to play in the song so that it would come across more lively and grand. I hope you all enjoy! Once again, big thanks to Grace, Kanaya, and Beetlebug!

This is such a throwback to the past. It's a story being told through such a meaningful way of a meaningful thing. L'manburg fell, but it will always live in our hearts. I absolutely love the book of photographs. It fit the song so well. It started with a van, ended as a war, but will be remembered as something beautiful to many. L'manburg had many flaws, but to the people who knew of it? Were a part of it? It was something they will never forget.

This sounds like a song I’d sing my kids, sounds dumb but if I have kids I want to tell them the story of the smp (well maybe tone down some things and change some stuff) but I want to tell them I was there or something, that I remember these city’s being built and watching them fall that that nation was mine and I loved it. Now I’m just ranting but seriously L’manburg was my escape.

It has all of our memories of the smp and the amazing stories told, and even though I joined the fandom near the end of l'manburg I feel so nostalgic for everything and I nearly cried at one point. I love this point of view of seeing the stories of each Dream SMP member as a legend lost to time. It makes everyone, from the madman Wilbur, to the unkillabke Technoblade, to the underdog Tommy, feel even more... well, legendary than ever!
Also love how the second dives past the legend and into their feelings, humanizing them more and showing just how important the moral conflict was too!
I cried. God damn it. L'manberg may not be real but let's be honest it's the only fictional country I've and probably maybe you cared about. It's so nostalgic and it just shows how much every canon character has been through. o7 L'manberg, your spirt it always alive within us. I love the feel of this song to. The violin makes it extra touchy and gives it that sad feeling. The feel of the song is just so accurate and the lyrics and the song itself hits so hard. You simply don't know how much this inspires me, this is definitely my favorite song of yours and possibly one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. I am currently writing a Dream SMP origin fanfic story, so this really motivates me and gives me pure joy that L'manberg existed and changed lives. To be real, I'm probably gonna listen to this everyday before I continue writing. Thank you for using your beautiful voice to bring stories to life and making me happy in my darkest days.

I was sitting here listening to the song and I could just imagine this being sung by Tubbo and lmanhole since he's still stuck in the past and its interesting to imagine the book with the photos could be Tubbo's full of photos he got or took of others(all but one he wasnt in so he could very well be behind the camera) to share the story of Lmanburg maybe to Micheal
This is one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard for a block game. This really brings the lmanburg era to life as a piece of history, which due to how fast the interney moves, it pretty much is. One can only hope the dsmp will get another arc just as great soon. Thanlfully it seems to be headed in that direction.

Coming back to this now, it feels as if the song is the last of these great legends or their descendants teaching young ones the story of L'Manburg and the tales each of the characters took before, during and after everything they held dear was destroyed.

somehow you (and all the other musicians and singers) were able to replicate the feeling of nostalgia and a touch of bittersweet. and I loved how this wasn't just about the lore and the story of lmanburg, but it also reminds us of how long ago that was in real time.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!! The vocals, the way this is like so nostalgic and the end credits to a song, I love it!!! And the art is so funny and makes it truly as if it's an indirect story that seems like it was passed down from generations ago even though it was only a few months.
Some constructive criticism (doesn't take from the awesomeness of this), Kanaya and Beetlebug are a bit quiet, I'm not sure if this was on purpose but it was kinda surprising after Amanda's voice was so strong lollll but I think adding Kanaya and Beetlebug in this was so genius, we still associate them with the good ol' days so they were perfect for this song!!!

Ok ok ok. Imagine. The first singer jumping at the chance to sing about early Lmanburg, it’s glories and memories because they were there, they were a soldier and they sung to the tune of songs that the lmanburgians would scream during the dead of night to raise the spirits of everyone. The instruments are played by people who also fought in the independence war. Violin, tambourine, guitar, i think i hear a flute?
The second singer joined in to talk about exile (i personally hc that multiple ppl (aka tommy’s chat) were exiled because they did a lot of the things he did, but only tommy got a trial cause he was the vp) tommy was taken to log but chat were dropped off somewhere closer to nlmb though they sometimes dropped by to make sure tommy was ok. So they knew about exile, they saw him deteriorating, and the home part is also them yearning to go back to nlmb
The first singer then jumps back in to talk about how things were nlmb while ppl were exiled.
They then continue singing together for doomsday which they were both there for
And then sing for lmb in general, the first singing for a home they lost, who’s lost the pure hope they had when they first arrived in lmb, a tired veteran who has lived for longer than they expected. The second singer who never got the chance to experience lmanburg, never got to experience the songs and dancing, who only remembers the country built upon planks that would bend and shake, the president who seemed a little too aged, and the vp war vet who still sung songs of lamburg’s glory, who still sings, who still screams the songs in the dead of night knowing that someone out there would sing back (said song is jump in the cadillac, i dont make the rules)
