Thanks for uploading this video! This reminded me of my first trip to Pattaya some 20+ years ago when I stayed at an old, cheap hotel like the Skaw Beach Hotel. In these older, cheaper hotels, the balcony is narrow and the height of the railing is LOW. The height of those balcony railings would NOT meet most US commercial building code requirements (42 inches or 1+ meter). I remember one night stepping out to the balcony, tripping on the threshold, losing my balance, and almost taking a head-first dive over the railing. After that, I never went out on the balcony again.
Thanks Daz for great videos . Except first one the Skaw Beach Hotel, the other 3 hotels not recommended to stay in my opinion. From personal experience I found that the owners of these small hotels can have strange rules (ie extra baht for a guess) And the cleaning of the room may not be up to standard and can request extra fee for anything. Additionally you can get things stolen easily and you will not find anyone responsible. One of my friend got 1000 usd stolen from a small hotel like this and had not recovered the money. The second hotel had a window to the kitchen of the room and this is a security flaw in my opinion. If you are here to stay up to a month please stay at a secure well known hotel. It is worth the extra.
Slaw Beach Hotel is a trip down memory lane: My Uncle Jerry first introduced me to that place in 2005, and I often stayed there on repeat visits. Funny story, I just arrived Skaw Beach Hotel, one evening, opened my curtains to look outside, and across the street was a farang in his birthday suit going full on with his GFE curtains wide open 😮 I was like, “Welcome to Pattaya” The Skaw Beach Hotel pool was always well-maintained and a joy to use…. Not the highest-rated place, but quite fair on your wallet with a great location
What a great area to stay in! Right next to Tree Town, Central Festival, Soi Pothole, LK Metro..... not to mention plenty of spots to get your laundry done right on the same street!
Seriously thais are very nice, polite people. Would you please ask following questions all the time; A- is breakfast included, B- how is noise level in the rooms, C- do they offer single bed for 2 or 3 quests, D- is there AC. Thx
love the efforts you take to make the vdos and share information with us . hope u can make more vds of rooms like this in other places like soi lengkee, soi bukhao
But you know alot of these "complainers" sleep with their eyes open and cry in their pillows while looking at all the rooms furniture. Gimme a break some of these guys.
Good video. The number of rooms available in Pattaya is incredible. I like the idea of patronizing the small locally owned places, but these places are woefully lacking in security. I learned a hard lesson years ago in latin america. Now I only stay in hotels that have key card door entry and never stay on the first floor.
The price is unbelievable of course you get what you get for that kind of price. I would love to see a couple of videos on some mid-range priced hotels 😁
Hello Daz, can you put video of monthly accommodation prices in and around soi bhukao during low season , I am Planning to come in June and look to book for 1 Month. Thank you 🙏
Great video... I was back and forth on when my last work assignment was gonna be. But it looks like today is my last day. Just waiting for my Passport renewal to finish and arrive. I have a target date of sept 15th. I wanna get locked into a long term condo before High season. How do I contact you. I would love to be on your live show and share my experiences from my previous trips to Thailand and being a new 52 year old retiree on a budget.
Firm bed sucks, u didn't ask about cable tv.., thanks for checking the mattress.. Is the monthly inclusive, no additional for water ,or electricity.???
I watched your Video. of Tara Cort Review yesterday and was impressed so I took a ride over there this morning still impressed unfortunately not with the price I was looking at a 1Bedroom unfortunately these have jumped from 19.000 baht to 33,000 baht per Month pity as they are nice.
Yeah some guys are complainers 500 baht??? Some I saw that were 300 baht and the women who clean are warm and friendly you didnt even get a month of that kind of treatment IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. So to the complainers SPARE ME. You can pay a little more & get the balcony view sip your morning 🌅🌄 cuppa and 🥐 relax a bit. No one complains about the drapes if the price is damn reasonable especially guesthouses. And comparison what you'd spend a night in some places 2k a night in some resorts. Up to 14k a night. When you see what you get for what you could enjoy with simplicity you'd pretty much laugh at how dumb you were
The first hotel had everything you need. Was impressed with the 2nd place except the color. 😂 the windowless room at least had a partition between the shower and sink…
Wow...decent, basic rooms in Pattaya starting at under $20 U.S. a night...all while even average motel rooms in boring U.S. cities average over $100 a night!
I asked in another video if one could still find good discounts for monthly stays..700 a day or 13k amonth..Equates to 12 free days.Great deal. They are all good for cheap charlies. Not for me though.Nice upload..
Depressing hovels with a strange fascination for that puke green colour, no lift or pool (except the first hotel), hard beds, scary bathrooms, no view to speak of, stains all over the walls, noisy, no breakfast, but close to 'the action'. And if you spend the money you save on beer, you won't even notice where you are ;-) But with so many nice mid price hotels in Pattaya (esp in low season), I would seriously think before booking one of these places.
Hi daz , the first one looked nice with a pool , it’s good to see what is available near tree town , thanks buddy , keep up your good and interesting videos , what can I expect to see if I pay to watch your Patreon , buddy , I logged on but was disappointed that you are asking a fee , just let me know
Hi Daz. You replied to my comment in your last vlog about Terminal 21. I asked you, could you do a vlog on the bars opposite leading to Soi 6? You asked me if I meant 2nd Road or Beach Road? I did reply, 2nd Road but it was very late! Did you see my reply? Cheers, Bill. 👍🇬🇧

Same same the bar area + soi Lengee and soi Made in Thailand.
Thank you for all your efforts! 👏🏻👍🌹🙏
Thanks Daz!
👍🏻 I like that 2nd one "A-A-A" 500 CAD for 1 month is a great price for that location plus a kitchen.
That room is nicer than the one I stayed in Santa Cruz, California.😂
😅
I'm sure all of Thailand beats California these days ,
i like the one at 9 minute with the small kitchen

Video excellent as usual. Same many other guys the room with the kitchen very appealing
Thanks Daz, some real bargains there but not sure if I could ever stay in a room without a balcony or even windows... unless by police insistence 😖
Your hotel information is very helpful. Please show more hotels in the future.

Great Video Daz thanks for sharing cheap rooms in the hsrt of pattaya. I,liked the 2nd one with a kitchen thank you
Thank you for cheap monthly numbers.
When you're in bed and the lights are out, a 600 Baht room has the same view 5000 Baht room. Providing the bed is comfy.

Great video, ive always liked this street nice to see it promoted
Thanks for the video, I like to book that guest house room from video 7:42-10:40, AAA, I hope it's available by Feb 2025. More spaces and good deal.
Very nice bro - love the hotel update :)
Great finds another great video.😊
Room with no window ? I'd rather sleep on the beach then 😂
Funny that, slept on Pattaya Beach, quite comfortable actually 😉 Sounds like short-time room.
😂😂😂
Wah Wah Wah
Good info for short term visitors
Define short term 3 or 6 monthers?
Excelent to check the bed if its firm/soft! My back can't take thai style firm beds anymore....

do you think now in July the prices are the same?I like the AAA room for 13k a month
Is the 300 baht the joiner fee on the last place “sweet pound hotel” ?
Stayed at Skaw beach nice Hotel, scary low Balcony wouldn't go near Balcony after a few beers.😊
Does anybody know of a decent mid range hotel in the city centre with large mirrors by the bed? (Either at the side or behind the headboard) 😜🤣

Two questions, because they are never mentioned:
1- Getting the deposit back- are there any problems?
2- Smoking, permitted or not?
Thank you
Usually no problem
Smoking only on the balcony

Thanks for a really practical advice video. Are the rooms cool, ventilated or mini saunas?
All hotel rooms always have A/C
I have many friends 🎉🎉
The last place. The 5.50 was better than 7.50 with the big window
Please ask if they have elevator, daily housekeeping / no one cares about the size of the room in meters !!

are the safes even secured to anything in the hotels??

well the minute discount for thirty days would make me go look elsewhere. the old looking rooms not a problem for fair price.
I notice the last place had a 300bt joiner fee🙄
Notice the Oyo hotel had a jointing fee Daz (300baht) 😊
Yes, unusual
timestamp for the hotel ($173) in the thumbnail?
My mate stayed in that very room from the first hotel review. So close to the action guys!! But bed hard as nails 😅

Are the hotels lady friendly Daz?
Cheap hotels all allow guests, some may ask a small fee of 2 or 300 baht
@@CheekyMonkey007 Right. Usually only more expensive (4 or 5 star) hotels charge the lady fee.
