I do not think that Pattaya will get as many high season tourists coming as they expect. Times are tough around the world and there is a recession, airfares are up because of rising oil prices.
@darrylknight2675 I think you are wrong, Just try booking a room in central Pattaya for near the end of next month, the ones that are available are fewer than last November, my 3 favourite mid range priced hotels are all booked solid, no rooms left and the few others I prefer, less central, are higher priced with few rooms available.
I agree. I think tensions wit Iran will continue to push oil prices higher. I hope I'm wrong. The Thai people and the bars are just recovering from the pandemic.
I don't understand some people in the comments here complaining about cheap accommodation. Who the hell comes to Pattaya to hangout in a room? As long as it's clean and has a comfortable bed what else do you want? I think these complainers are kind of people that bring their spouses to Pattaya. Oh, and one final thing. Don't think you're going to impress a working girl by staying in a fancy hotel, most don't give a crap. All you're gonna do is have her think you got wads of cash to splash and that's something you don't want. Believe that!!!

Good budget hotels Daz . Some girls must have been having a a bad day, nit happy . Not sure if you've had a look ,but I'd recommend hideaway Guesthouse on soi 15 . No lift , but bug clean rooms . Friendly staff, good food in bar . Ive stayed a few times
When I was on holiday last year I loved going to the nest for breakfast or lunch. Great food and not expensive. Also they had a house double vodka or whisky for 80 baht. Great place to start the evening 🎉
You should check out place called br lodge only guest house only 450 baht are night still had balcony tv safe no lift but only goes up 3 floors It’s located in little Soi opposite Pattaya hospital in Soi bukao as go down Soi on corner is little motorbike work shop in day can be noisy but at night pretty quite great value for money right in middle of all action
As someone who actually lives here in Pattaya full-time, spend a little bit more and get a decent place to enjoy your holiday. Many 3 and 4 star Hotels on Soi 3,4 and 5 between Beach Road and Second Road. Can catch Baht Bus from either side for 10 Baht. Prices right now are around 1200 -1600 Baht per night. Full maid service daily, most are visitor friendly and have at least weekend buffets included. I fully understand the Cheap Charlie's, but come on, do you really want a noisy flop house room for your holiday ??? Thanks Daz for another excellent video. Maybe at least once do some of the nicer places in Amphoe Bang Lamung :)
Should revue the Inn Town holiday hotel, soi honey, next to Honey body massage. Was 550 a night in September and has a big room, elevator and rooftop swimming pool.
Cost of accommodation is all relative, You want to get a place that isnt too expensive but meets your requirements taking into account your length of stay and location. I'm currently trying to find accommodation for a 27 night stay in July and will probably stay at 2 hotels in different locations. Recently, I stayed a night in Singapore for $350AUD at a basic hotel with no breakfast. You can get a week in Pattaya at a decent hotel for the same price as one night in Singapore. . . I remind myself of this when I'm browsing for a place to stay. Thanks for the review Daz.
I stayed with Harry and several other small hotels and guesthouses but I think the mid priced hotels are the best (1000-1500 bath) A soft bed, safety box, good location, no noise and a pool (it doesn’t have to be big) is a minimum. In the daytime I like to sit next to the pool with a bar where you can have a few drinks.
Hi this may seem like a silly question I've just got my passport and I'm planning to go Thailand in June low season thinking it would be cheaper and easier to wet my beak and see how I feel about the country and Environment of Pattaya someone told me it's actually more expensive for night time activities in low season is this true?
@@CheekyMonkey007 basically they told me it was part of Asian culture that when they have less customers they charge more But thank you for clearing that up
NO accommodations are far cheaper during low season do not limit yourself by what you see on Agoda etc, many hotels will work a deal if you stay. for a few weeks. Bar and food prices are cheaper too for the most part.
I usually go in July every year. Not to save money (although it's nice to pay less!). That's just when I have the time. Everything is cheaper. It's simply supply vs demand. Less crowded too, obviously. I find that if you're patient, Agoda has special deals on rooms, upgrades, etc.
As a Canadian i had wanted to go there for the first time, however reading and seeing how costs have gone up over there rent and all and the cost of airfare is a huge bust, will have to rethink my vacation!
The lady in the pink dress that worked at Baan Buakow was delightful and that hotel seemed to be the best deal. The last hotel receptionist's shirt with all the USA cities and states was hilarious, but their hotel was not the best deal IMO.
The only redeeming aspect of high season is lower temperature and humidity. May is bloody brutal for both of those... Low season, low prices, moderately better climate.
