Subaru WRX Vs Volkswagen GTI - Police Fly By!

- A classic drag race between a Subaru Impreza WRX (stage 2) VS Volkswagen GTI (stock). Basically the WRX Flew past two police cars at the top of 3rd Gear which is about ~90mph. CRAZY! Strangely they did not engage in pursuit.

I raced my Bro's STI in my 09 GTI and kept up with him pretty well for my car being all stock.
Damn extra close. I wonder if they heard the horns lol

@wrxp36 Fifth gear has a video comparing the Gti to the WRX. The Gti was faster around the track but it really all comes down to the driver. I wouldn't trade my A4 quattro for a FWD car though :)
that "gti" had the 2.5l n/a 5 cylinder not the 2.0t. listen to some sound clips and you'll see
@wrxp36 STI is awd, GTI is fwd, of course its gonna smoke the gti off the line... from a 30 roll the gti should pull first then the STI will obviously pull in the end. But my stage 2 gti pulls on stock STI's from 30 rolls
lol damn that sucks. been there myself. but we all go racing again the next day anyway lol.

@tVKrippen From a 30 roll the GTI wont pull at all against an STI, check out the 30-70 times
GTI is way better than a regualer wrx

haha the opposite happened to me recently.. my stock 2000 civic EX automatic just got engine rebuilt,, so i was not pushing the car. on the freeway vs my friends ugly stock 4th gen camaro automatic... we lined up and i floored it till JUST regular freeway speeds of 70mph .. that foo beat me but he got to 90mph and he got pulled over by the crooked california highway patrol HAHAHAHHAHAHAH.. couldnt even tell i was kind of racing him :P
