- When you think about Orlando, the first thing you think of usually isn't surfing. That may change! There's a proposed surf park that would allow riders to surf 10 foot waves just outside of Horizon West. Would you use this?
I’ve been surfing wave parks for years now! You cannot hear them, this is going to be an awesome addition! HURRY UP AND BUILD IT
Interesting wish I was into surfing but sounds unique.
I’ve never surfed ever. I’ll be there! Lol
This is super cool indeed. Hopefully it comes to fruition.
wow I'm 100% for this! they had a wave machine at Disney World in the Seven Seas Lagoon when Disney first opened but it didn't work very well because of erosion issues at the base of the machine probably also on the shore but they got it right with the one in Typhoon Lagoon
Ron Johns was suppose to do one here in Orlando. 10 years ago and that dies. And yes theres surfing in cocoa Beach, Daytona, the inlet . Its about time
That's the last piece of the puzzle... a surf park will complete the Orlando menu of amusement.
No it won’t. It’ll be another abandoned lot of concrete in 5-10 years.
Would be great if this included some residential, Orlando still needs all the housing it can get.
Overpriced apartments and townhomes? When are they going to fund affordable transportation? Never. How about everyone just f c king stay in their own countries?
It would be super cool but surf parks never get built. Just ask New Smyrna Beach or Fort Pierce. Fingers crossed this bhis is built.
Bring it!
This is being built REALLY close to my house 2 min
That's crazy that people would rather want a landfill rather than a surf park
10ft Florida size maybe 😂 ain’t no way they’re getting legit 10 footers
There's nothing walkable about Orlando except from the front door to the mailbox and back. Everything else is overcrowding, more construction development projects, more obstacles, more traffic delays... Shall I go on? Every neighborhood is a dead end/detour/deviation to drivers trying to get from point A to point B. Your video is more than visual proof of my claim. What else can I say? Orlando used to be mostly rural agricultural farming surrounded by orange groves. Now it is a besieged City violated by corporate greed and political corruption.
Not a good ideas!
