I belonged to a poorly funded inner city public HS collegiate team in the mid 70's. We were so poor in my freshman season, I shared wrestling shoes with my teammate. But what we lacked in funding we made up for in leadership and talent. These two factors led up to our team winning the public school league championship in my second season and I earned my own pair of shoes. It was a magical time in all our young lives. Since then, individual members of that championship team have gone through so many challenges. Everything from fratricide to depression, homelessness and cancer diagnosis. But no matter how bad things got, things that would have devastated other men, my former teammates found a way to make the best of their challenges. If not overcoming, learning to live and still function with them. I attribute this to the mental toughness we earned out there in the wrestlers circle. There is no sport quite like amateur wrestling.
From my own experience wrestling is the most taxing and demanding sports I have participated in. It will definitely push you to and beyond your physical and mental limits. Water polo is a strong second.

This was sucha great video! Happy Khabib gets all the credit he deserves too
In life there is no such thing as doing it by yourself, good or bad. But, one of the things I unexpectedly enjoyed after losing every match for a year or two, was winning. Whether people are interested in you or not, if they are in the gymnasium they are kinda forced to watch you. When you're the only winner in the entire gymnasium for those few minutes, it's like being on top of the world.
Cain is so underrated
He was the most skilled HW imo
the mental
it is the greatest strength
it is the mark of the great man
hello Joe, or editor for this channel, ive been a skater my hole life, an i got to say, skate is haaaard on the boddy man, maybe Joe would like to talk to some guys like this. Skate is on a good scene on the media, being on olympics now and shit. Some examples can be modern athletes like Nyjha Huston(USA), Yuto Horigome(Japan), or maybe some old warriors like Mr. Tony Hawk(USA) or Andy MacDonald(USA too)(good friends with tony).
Just a tip.
peace out
Very tough man. As is to be expected.
When I heard him say "I'm gonna maul him", I was like he's the truth... he's the only person I believe whem he say he is an animal when he gets in the cage.. 4real 4real he was wrestling a bear
Jordan Burroughs should do an exhibition wrestling match with Khabib
It wouldn’t be fair
@@jeialonso1933 why not?
Bro Khabib is an amazing grappler but there is levels Jordan would crush him in a freestyle wrestling match
@@Nik-fy1cf exactly
Would be interesting but not fair.
Khabib is great wrestler, but there's level to this game. He couldn't even compete against top 10 wrestlers in the world.
Perfectly explained!
Da legend yaaaassss
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates🎈

Joe Rogan , I appreciate you as a human being.
