I don’t think I’ve ever seen a professional athlete, especially as one as elite in their own sport as Jordan Burroughs, that is so humble, grateful, and still amazed by their own success. This guy is a serious role model of mine.
Thank you Ben Askren for introducing me to wrestling. It was the first time I heard of Jordan and since then I watched over 15 of his matches. I now even started wrestling class (2 classes so far) and I love it. Let’s promote this sport !!!!
AWESOMENESS!!!... I have nothing but the utmost respect for his gifts, talents but more importantly his work ethic, toughness, internal fortitude and character! All incredibly admirable! Keep it going Jordan Burroughs!
Jesus fuck, this man is the biggest of underdogs. So many mishaps, so many falls. And yet he stood up again and again, and NEVER GAVE UP. I just heard of him, since I'm a mma fan, and I'm so glad I did. What a man, what a MOTIVATION, what a CHAMPION, what a GOAT! Thank you for being you, thank you for existing Jordan Burroughs. 🙇 Cheers from Macedonia!
It's incredible to be able to keep putting in the dedication required to stay on THE task of THE GRIND, day after day all these years. The man has extreme depth of character. His parents, his wife, his coach, long term TEAM EFFORT
Jordan Burroughs came to my schools wrestling room in his wifes hometown with Rich Perry to train a little last december. It was fascinatimg to watch him wrestle and train in the same room as him, even better to talk one on one with him. Great guy, humble and a generous person, thank you Jordan
Wow, I was down in the dumps a day before thanksgiving, arguing on the pitty pot. This young man gave me inspiration to keep moving forward. God bless you, your family and great career.
Love this guy. The only problem is that he sees the struggle of his parents as a weakness. Instead of seeing it as perseverance, commitment, love and honoring of drive of his ancestors. The drive to overcome, match and conquer the oppression, disadvantage, doubt, hatred, marginalization faced by his fathers and mothers. And inspite of it all they fulfilled their promise to their ancestors and destiny...to give the world a better them with better opportunity...Jordan. That it's name. Honor your ancestors by remembering and honoring their struggle, sacrifice, survival and success.
My son is starting his senior yr in high school, he’s been wrestling for two yrs and is has worked extremely hard and work hard and is really good, anyway I’m redoing his room for him and I’m making him a metal board with a wrestling saying I’m on it so I asked him what his favorite one was and he said mom actually how much room do you have , I said as much as you need why? He said I want this! And he played me the first minute of this , and well it won’t fit on the board so instead I’m making to cover his wall!!! You are truly an inspiration to my son and many many others, from a wrestling mom, a true wrestling team mom that has been to every match, except one tournament, I broke my back but still tried to go, I’m there not only for my son but every wrestler on the team , I just want to say thank you!!! It hardly seems enough but that’s all I can muster at this moment just a heart felt THANK YOU!!
This helps everyone realize that the problems we are facing are happening to everyone it's just different for each individual and the great ones push through and become legends
I wrestle all the time. Although I know I’m not gonna get anywhere, my three years of wrestling and I haven’t even won a match in the state qualifiers. This story really did inspire me and JB is an amazing wrestler. It’s amazing how dedicated he is to the sport and I respect him so much.
Jordan is a very humbling man! Never got to meet him but I do remember going to the Nebraska wrestling camp every summer(from 2009-2013)with Independence High based out of TN and the clinics are phenomenal!! Not sure if anyone remembers his name but McCoy Newberg was a teammate of mine that graduated 2 years before me and he wrestled for Nebraska for a short while. Very fortunate to have coach Grindstaff in high school!! He would sacrifice anything to help his wrestlers get to the next level. Praying for big things to happen for Nebraska wrestling and Jordan as well!!!
I love this man. He embodies what it takes to lead his nation and represent the greatest country in the world. The United States of America. He makes me proud. I love watching him kick a$&! He’s a role model. I teach my kids about him. All the respect in the world Jordan.
Whenever I want to show my wrestlers, or my own son the best example of a wrestlers technique, work ethic, or class, I think of JB and Cael. Great people and wrestlers!
He admitted a lot in this. True man. Going from not putting in much effort to becoming an Olympic champion. Takes a lot to have that & blow through it to get to the highest level

A truly great wrestler who has represented America well in the Olympics and World Championships! I look forward to seeing the wrestling match with Dake at the next US Trials to see who"ll represent America in the Olympic Games that got postponed to next summer. Burroughs and Dake are both awesome competitors. I wish them both luck and may the better man win!

Jordan is one of the best in history of wrestling, indeed one of the best people i ever go cross too.! Idk if i should thank lolo of this as well, but, i think this is how he born, a simple guy who became A legend.!! ✊🏽
Sweet video! Well done! Interesting connection pertaining to Jordan's wife. She went to American University. Here's an interesting connection to NYS Sec 4 high school wrestling: Josh Glenn won D1 nationals. He's from Sec 4. Also from Sec 4 is Kyle Dake, Jon Jones, Troy Nickerson, JP O'Connor, etc. That place is a NYS wrestling hotbed. One of the Worthing bros -- from Tioga might be the next big thing out of that area.
I normally don’t put a newer guy on a p4p list, but Jordan has proved himself to be one of the best. He was the best wrestler of the decade, and he has more achievements than most
Such incredible athete JB, indeed human. So proud to get to know you/your family and work on you time to time. here i'm 27:15 your boy is very funny.!!
Ahh many I loved wrestling and our team was always the best conditioned. We loved seeing the other guy get tired, breaking guys. When matches would go to over time you we always won... you would see the other guy huffing and puffing and you would be the first one back to the line just waiting... ugh it was awesome.
Jordan Burroughs' story is a true underdog story. Respect.
@tony Patton woahh...that's quite alot...but i'm afraid you overexaggerated a bit...anyway, I hope your son is successful
underdog? good one
How is he an underdog? Bc he’s black? Nah gtfo
tony Patton bro chill with the question marks. Do you know what a period is?
Bob Lee Swagger underdog because based on his high school career his path wasn’t expected. Stop making things about race!
As an Iranian wrestling fan, you're my champion of the world, respected as our champ, the one and only Jordan Burroughs.
Respect 💪 bridging gaps through the love of the greatest sport in the world. Much love from New York!

ive been a fan of JB for a few years now, but i never realized how much of an underdog story he had. inspirational to say the least.
When he looked back at how the colleges didn’t want him that hit me so hard The hurt in him cake out
What a great video
I'm 38 and you always grew up hearing about Dan Gable.
Jordan is that dude now, too.
He's a living legend.
This is hands down one of the best, if not the best documentary I've ever seen. Just goes to show how far hard work can get you. Great work FLO ✊

Best double of all time!!!!
This is literally my first wrestling documentary since I only heard about this beast through mma on point. What does double mean?
harlemdeni he means a double leg take down, it is Jordan’s signature move. If you do not know what that is you can always look it up.
Power blast double no one can stop

He does honor them, his parents were a big part of this film. He respects the hell out of them for the struggle they've gone through.
He doesn't see it as a weakness. He just doesn't want to end up like them; can you really blame him for not wanting to get stuck in the rate race?
This man inspired me to go all the way
