Sorry, I have to totally disagree with you. She was terrible in the wrong. Everybody who watched Gilligan on her episode thought the same thing that I know I don’t know who liked her on their role. She was terrible terrible but I guess we all have our opinion but everybody I know never liked her on Gilligan Island so I don’t know who you’re talking to yourself, but I guess you have right your opinion even if it’s wrong, she might’ve been something else but Gilligan Island
Oh hell no! It's some kind of crime that Tina Louise is the only surviving member if the cast She thought she was better than the rest of them, who were actually wonderful actors and even better people. Guess she didn't notice it wasn't called Ginger's Island So she sold deodorant next? Probably because she thought her sh÷t didn't stink. For all her attitude, Little Miss Stuck-Up went on to do such movie masterpieces as Evils Of The Night. A "D" grade sci fi flick with adult film actors Crystal Breeze, Amber Lynn and Jerry Butler. Yeah, she was "all that" all right. Like the wonderful cast, Dave, you are way too nice when talking about her. But I call 'em as I see 'em and she sucks. ANYONE who replaced her would have been better. Watch the documentary on UA-cam folks.
Dave, I know that you'll be tempted to shorten this presentation; however, my suggestion would be not to shorten this presentation when it goes out to The general public.... You have done a wonderful job using the time within this presentation to allow both women to have equal time. - they both deserve it! Strong presentation;
🚣♂Dawn Wells would however take on the role of Ginger Grant in the animated incarnation Gilligans Planet (1982-1983) with a blonde👱♀Ginger LOL! And Jayne Webb would provide the voices of both Ginger and Mary Ann for The New Adventures Of Gilligan cartoon (1974-1975).🏝🛥🥥⛵
Taking over an iconic role that's closely associated with another actor not something I'd want to do, at least not without that actors public endorsement. .
I don’t know 🤷♂️ if fake Ginger is rather cold 🥶 blooded but it would’ve been appropriate to call her replacement Ginger. Judith Baldwin did what she had to do as an actress. They weren’t just going to pick anyone for the part of Ginger because Judith was a very talented actress. I’m sure the fans loved 🥰 her as well. What counts was that the movie 🎥 of the Castaways was made. Instead of calling her Fake Ginger it’s what it is because they selected a beautiful woman 👩 to be the replacement Ginger, which happened to Judith Baldwin.
When I say "Fake Ginger", I mean it in only the kindest way. The same way that I do with "Fake Jan", Geri Reischl. They are both awesome...but, as you more diplomatically stated, they were replacements. Since you watched the video, you know that I am a huge fan of Judith's and in no way was trying to be "cold-blooded". 🙂
The person who took over the role of ginger and Gilligan island was no good. She was no ginger. You could tell she was fake sorry but she was no good. I guess Tina Louise is the only one who could be ginger on Gilligan’s Island. By the way, where have you been you used to do about TV shows all the time and I haven’t seen any one of them lately.”
I thought it was smart to not have them rescued at the end..it was one show that didn't need closure as their adventures happened on the island.. Even in the reunion movie when they were rescued, It didn't work for me.. And as ridiculous as how they returned to the island, it was the best part of the movie..
Nobody understood it, but somehow, I think it was Tina's agent who conned her into it. I had bought Sherwood Schwartz's book on "Gilligan's Island" and he related the story in detail. I don't have a hard time believing such a thing. An agent who stands to make a hefty commission on getting his client to accept a TV role could twist a story any which way to make it sound plausible.
I had no idea that Judith was such a prolific actress. Kudos to her for taking on the "Ginger" role. No doubt, she took a lot of criticism by way of comparison. Who would want that?
Some people think having a FINAL episode hurts a show in syndication anyway. Apparently, it was that way with _The Fugitive_. Because "the running stopped" in the final episode, it killed the suspense of the show afterward. If _Gilligan's Island_ had been given a real series finale, would it have been as successful in syndication?
I actually thought both "fake Gingers" did well; Judith and Constance captured the essence of the character well. I always liked Dynamints better thank Tick Tacks.
Do they still make Dynamints? I haven't seen them in years.
👍

Cents with retcin. Retcin was just vegetable oil.
Thanks for sharing your perspective, Veronica.
All your warped opinion. I loved Tina Louise. She WAS Ginger, and always will be
@@tigger06 You need to move to Egypt, if you're gonna live on De Nile.
I believe Julie Newmar was in "Evils of the Night" as well. 🙂
@@jdsundstrom Yeah, she is.I have the DVD. She can be forgiven one mistake in her long successful career. LOL
Dave,
I know that you'll be tempted to shorten this presentation; however, my suggestion would be not to shorten this presentation when it goes out to The general public....
You have done a wonderful job using the time within this presentation to allow both women to have equal time. - they both deserve it!
Strong presentation;
Thanks for the kind words, John! I truly appreciate all your support. 🙂
Now I remember "Gilligan's Planet," but I don't recall the other animated series
I hated Gilligan's Planet. Absolutely unwatchable, imo.
I wonder what customer service would say if someone came to the store to return a roll of Certs breath mints.
It's always been about the wonderful Mary Ann, for me!
Nice retrospective Dave. I'm sure Judith would have appreciated being remembered.
I'm pretty sure that Judith is still with us. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Doug.
@@jdsundstrom Oops, meant to use the present tense. PS: Am I correct in that Judith and Tina, the two Gingers, are the last surviving cast members?
Taking over an iconic role that's closely associated with another actor not something I'd want to do, at least not without that actors public endorsement. .
Why don't they restore a laugh track to those movies so they won't feel weird.
I agree. I think they finally did in the 3rd movie.
They must have got the idea from fake Shemp
8:25 I never saw "Human Feelings". Was it as good as you'd expect a show with Nancy Walker and Billy Crystal to be.
I haven't seen it either. I would like to but I've never seen it available anywhere.
Tina Louise played Sappho, the ancient Greek poet, in one movie, forgot the title.
She was also in The Stepford Wives (1974.)
I feel like if this happened today, they would’ve just killed Ginger offscreen 😂 problem solved.
Very interesting, I never knew that there was a "fake" Ginger!
I thought it was smart to not have them rescued at the end..it was one show that didn't need closure as their adventures happened on the island.. Even in the reunion movie when they were rescued, It didn't work for me.. And as ridiculous as how they returned to the island, it was the best part of the movie..
Tina was told a show called Gilligan’s Island was going to center around her character named Ginger? Not buying it.
And yes, she is still beautiful.
I forgot all about Fake Ginger and how sad to lose both your parents at such a young age
Yep. That had to be so darn difficult. Thanks for the comment, Jack.
She stole the show in the movie, "No Small Affair".
The Eva Grubb character was a nice change for Tina, but you're not covering her dual role in that episode as the fake Ginger, I know. 🤷♂️ Lol
Ginger Grant is supposed to be Marilyn Monroe.
I had no idea that Judith was such a prolific actress. Kudos to her for taking on the "Ginger" role. No doubt, she took a lot of criticism by way of comparison. Who would want that?
Good point!
I was originally on Team Mary Ann. But when I became a free agent I signed with Team Ginger and have been there ever since.
Team Tina Louise here!
Wow! That's a great question, Chris!
