This support should be in place for the learner to use and hopefully, translate in their everyday context. I appreciate you greatly for your generosity in sharing these tools! You are a godsend!

Question: If you've given your student more than ample time for transitioning using the countdown strips (even allowing for extra time if the student is having difficulty), what should you do if the student still refuses to relinquish the preferred activity? I assume that physically removing it (if it's a tangible object activity) is not the ideal option?
is it better to count down vs up...I count down but i see many educators count up...i count down so students knows there's an end number.....what do you think?

Yup I agree, counting down is really clear.
