      I heard it from The Behavior Panel (I think that’s where) but havent looked into it, but supposedly he didn’t actually follow Satanism at all. He used it originally to throw off police officers, and then whenever it became a point of fear and what media focused on, he started to use it to his “advantage” and likely got enjoyment out of the response.

    I just wanted to say I'm so grateful for the cc/subtitles. I need them and I know so many people need them as well for so many different reasons. The auto generated cc is often very wrong and useless. And I've seen so many UA-camrs make videos on the UA-cam cc on their own videos and laughing about how wrong it is and still not putting their own cc to fix that problem. I understand it's extra work an complicated and I truly appreciate the effort.

    I find it ironic that he says that Satanism is self responsiblity for one's actions. But refuses to take responsibility for his actions. It's always look at what the other person is doing, instead of looking at what I am doing. Or facing what he has done, cowardly through and through

    Ramirez’s last kill was across the street from us! That summer FBI was EVERYWHERE! We didn’t know why at the time. I walked my dog twice daily and men in unmarked cars followed us. Ramirez tried taking my sister. My dad came running out of the garage with a hammer! In less than an hour FBI were at our dining room table. It was surreal. Don’t feel sorry for this monster. I’m pretty sure he was going to be a murdered no matter what! He took joy in gouging out eyes! He loved his! He did that to our elderly neighbor! After slaughtering her husband next to her! I took a writing course on skillshare for writing believable characters and I talked with the instructor about writing villains. One of the things she said was that evil people don't believe they are evil. I feel that by saying he was evil gave him some sort of identity. Someone described him as evil or told him he was evil and it gave him an adjective to go off of. But by saying that everyone is evil is also very telling. He truly believed in his heart there was no real right and wrong or good and evil. He got a high of the emotions of killing people. It gave him some sort of self importance. Possibly more so than the drugs. It was creepy to watch his expressions. His complete contempt for life and the world around him. He was a broken individual whose life choices took him down a very dark path. Very disturbing to watch him.

    Yes, the Night Stalker had a terrible upbringing and was treated terribly as a kid. He won't talk about it because it is painful. I don't feel sympathy or empathy for him as he chose to take that empty feeling inside and take it out on other people. The rest of us do not do that and that is why I can't feel any empathy. He is justifying it to himself and that's fine, but it still doesn't excuse what he did. I don't think he was born a bad person, he was made and chose not to take the right turn. I don't believe that he is even a real Satanist, I think he did it to be outwardly offensive on purpose. I think he is a complex character, however, due to his actions, he deserves to sit in prison for the rest of his life. To me his actions are emotionally immature.

    i agree with some of the general beliefs he has. war will kill more people than any one man ever could but the government will never pay for those crimes. and i do see how any individual has the potential to be “evil” given the right circumstances. however, that’s doesn’t give him the right to contribute to the problem.

      Ramirez had an IQ of 152. Not trying to negate what you're saying, only that indeed, he was quite intelligent. He was also arrogant which you can certainly see, and the interviewer admits he did this interview all wrong because he was feeling angry after just coming from speaking with one of the survivors, a man Ramirez shot in the head three times, right before he interviewed Ramirez. In fact, Watkiss, the interviewer, has said it's the worst interview he ever did because he went into it with the wrong mindset and Ramirez could sense the anger coming off of him, so he closed off and wouldn't give Watkiss what he wanted.

      @@AfterGlow-ch8gt his IQ was never tested or intensely studied, so not sure where you got 152 (cause his IQ has always been subjext to speculation). Personally I don't believe he was all that bright, just a good manipulator.

      I have studied Ramirez quite a bit and I have read from several different sources over the years that his IQ was that level. School records possibly? He was a good student until he did the crash and burn after witnessing Miguel murder his wife. I have also read that his wife Doreen's IQ was 154. I can't cite you a source off the top of my head though, I've just read it over the course of time. I will certainly agree with you, he was a master manipulator. An interesting character to say the least.

      @@AfterGlow-ch8gt fair point! But guys like this (like Manson for example) tend to spout this pseudo-philosophical BS to create this aura of a higher intelligence that we are just not smart enough to grasp (rather than see it for the mumbo-jumbo it is). We also generally tend to assign serial killers a high intelligence (maybe because they got away with it so long) when that is often not the case (it's their boldness not their intelligence that protects them). So personally I don't quite buy that he was as smart as he made himself out to be. 🤷‍♀️

    It's always so weird to me when people "get into Satanism" and then believe in things like "divine intervention." Satanism is inherently anti-supernatural, metaphysically materialistic, and theologically atheistic. 🤦‍♀️ Clearly, these people are more akin to devil worshipers, not Satanists.

      @analeticiagallardo2314 8 місяців тому +4

      Well he did clarify that there are different branches of satanism. He didn't say he was atheistic or la veyan he specifically said he believes in a malevolent being of some type. He also said he thinks he is evil and that he willingly chose to open that door and further explore his evilness. I mean I'm paraphrasing but I don't think he is trying to misrepresent a particular satanic sect or claim that he is even a formal member of anything. But I do agree with you that he is great at deflecting and dodging any feelings of guilt. That may just be because he simply does not feel guilt or remorse, he is probably very emotionally underdeveloped and does not feel empathy due in part to lack of control environments at a formational age.

      God damn it, as horrible as he is, he definitely is making some good points. Handling the truth horribly, I see. Yes, the democracy is built on bones, in every freedom there is pain and suffering, there is "evil" in all of us (or better yet we all participate in unethical behaviour one way or another, that's just a part of being an animal), but there is absolutely no need to take it out on mostly innocent people. I certainly understand his frustration with the interviewer because the interviewer is pretty much just ramming in his own interpretation while not taking anything in.
      Anyway, everything that had happened to him early in life absolutely sucks and should have been stopped if we existed in a healthy society, but everything else that he'd chosen to do afterwards is entirely his choice. Driven to madness, the only thing shown to him was suffering and vile behaviour, how else would he have grown up.

This has happened so many times throughout history and it makes me feel quite hopeless to see how, no matter how clear you try to communicate your message, which Nietzsche was a master at - communicating complex matters with few words, there will always be people with other values that can abuse it.

    So I immediately got the vibe that yes he sees himself as superior to everybody else, and unlike lots of ther serial killers who have been caught, he actually grows frustrated when people try to talk about his crimes. And I think he is so frustrated by that because I really just wants to talk about his philosophy in the world. Like he thinks he has a unique and intellectual perspective that he wishes to be remembered for. Like he wants these interviews to be filled with quotes of him saying things he thinks people will feel impressed by. Almost as if he wants to go down in history kinda, like almost as a version of Jesus. Like he hopes that his words have a lasting impression or garner possible followers in what he believes to be a unique and important explanation of our world.
    So like whenever the interview inevitably tries to go into his murderous acts and why he is so evil he prolly feels like that’s all people ever want to talk about or something- when really he wants people to be interested in his philosophy and his thoughts in our human existence. As if the interviewers would ever be there to simply listen to him preach his version of the gospel truth or whatever. Also why I think he doesn’t go off on tangents about satan, he doesn’t want people to follow satan, he wants to be the one they follow and quote and worship himself- or maybe kinda like a prophet- i don’t know. That’s just the vibe I got initially after seeing this. He thinks he has unique intelligence that others will be moved by and remember even when he dies.
    Like he said he doesn’t care what happens to him, unlike bundy who attempted to prevent his execution by framing himself as “your friendly neighborhood serial killer” by saying he had unique information that he could help prevent other people from falling victim to another killer so that he could hopefully prevent being executed. Idiots. Childish. Unbelievably naive. The whole lot of em.
