- A girl with MS | How i was diagnosed with MS - Part 1
#AgirlwithMS #LivingWithMS #FemaleKenyanUA-camr
Continuing from part 1, in this half I share about my experience getting medical assistance and the very first time I was in hospital because of MS.
At the time I don't think I was scared, just fascinated. I think I have a denial problem which actually helped to keep me calm. It felt like an out of body experience in hospital that I was just observing.
Apart from the standard MRI I describe the experience of having a needle through the spine. Spoiler alert, I survived 😁
'
In the end, I was eventually diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting MS. And by the way, living in Australia with a chronic illness I think is easier than being in Kenya because our healthcare system still has a long way to go.
I'm 25 and have MS and no matter what I'm not going to let this chronic illness dictate how my life goes. I own my body, not this illness.
Sharing this especially for the people under 30 with MS, I remember being in the hospital bed looking for information about people around my age with MS. Hopefully this can comfort young people with MS that may see this video. Yes, the period after a chronic illness diagnosis can be scary and you may be angry and confused, but your life is not any less valuable because of this diagnosis. Illness or not, you are still precious, choose life.

It’s one thing to know a disease and all and it’s another to hear it from a person who actually is dealing with it
True and the experience is different for everyone. MS is just oddly cruel

Is MS multiple sclerosis??
Yup 👍
How long have you lived with it?
I suspect since I was 17. Perhaps 9 years but I was diagnosed 5 years ago

Adjust your frames. You are pretty, but you can't cheat the foundation on the first appearance.
Cheppar what does “cheat the foundation” mean? 😅
Also I like my crooked glasses 🤓
@@WaceraMurage First appearance means everything, the frames make you look clumsy.
pretty face, great content.
I think differently.
Thank you 🙂
Also what does “cheat the foundation” mean? 😂
Wacera Murage its nothing serious or personal. Your pretty face with no make up needs Adjusted frames. You must obey the foundations of beauty. You think differently but it shouldn’t make you indifferent.
