No Time For Procrastination: the reason why we started traveling

- This is for the dreamers, adventurers and overlanders....
We learned it the hard way, you don't always have the time to procrastinate on your dreams.
And we had so many doubts starting our dream of traveling the world with our dog:
Is it even possible with a dog?
Can we make it work financially?
Do we even like living out of a car?
For every reason we could do it, we thought of something else why we shouldn't. But at the end, when we had the chance, we did it: we bought an old Land Rover Defender.
And after a year combining travels and coming back home for work we learned a lot, not only the positives. But our dream grew further and further.
Can we take on the even bigger hurdles to start our new dream?
Can we stop procrastinating on our dream?
This is a video from our heart ❤️
Dedicated to Patrick’s mom 🖤
Who gave us the realization that we cannot procrastinate on our dream.
Hope you like it 🙏🏻
Mooi
Welcome to the crew of people that leave everything behind to travel the world!! See you around 😎
Haha thank you 🥰 still have to wait a few months though 😛
@@emmanuel5161 You are right! We are trying to minimize it as much as possible. A factor that should not be forgotten is that in order to do such a trip we actually don't own anything major and consume as minimum as possible. As you can see in our videos we try to repair things and maximize the life of our gear. But yeah , we keep an eye on it. The best way of travel based on the environmental footprint is either cycling or on foot.
@@lewieandtherover just a quick tip, hug your family and friends a lot! You will miss the time with them the most!

That is a great tip!@@Thebluelandy
Love it. Live it.
If you can turn losses in life into motivation for living then you’ve pretty much cracked it I think.
Thank you ❤️ best form of motivation
You are one of the best channels we have seen. We love your perspective and narration. Go experience the world and all it has to give.
Wow what a compliment thank you!
Subscribed. Love your channel and hoping to see you on my African channel.

Huge 🙌 super super cool ... passion .. soul and adventurers thk 🙏
Thank you that is good to hear 😊
| wonder what would you choose? 4x4 Land Rover or no tarain response but more comfortable van (renault trafic)?
Oeff hard one, depends on what you want to do. We love the fact we can do all the cool routes! But missing some comfort sometimes.
You are a true inspiration for me! Arjan from the Netherlands!
Awesome to hear thank you!
In fields of dreams, Lewie and the Rover stand,
Hand in hand, with dreams so grand.
Their faithful hound, a heart so true,
In every step, he journeys too.
Through whispered winds and starlit skies,
They chase their dreams, with hopeful eyes.
With paws that patter, tails that wag,
Their journey's shared, no need to lag.
Through mountains tall and valleys low,
They'll find their way, where dreams may grow.
For Lewie, Rover, and their faithful friend,
The journey's sweeter when shared in the end.
And in this tale of dreams and kin,
Let friends and laughter also spin.
For dreams are richer, brighter, when,
They're woven with the hearts of friends.
Wow this is really awesome!
@@emmanuel5161 "It's truly astonishing. I'm incredibly impressed by how they power through the stunning natural landscapes with their old Land Rover Defender, chasing their dreams. While it does consume a significant amount of diesel, they always make sure to have extra on hand. It's truly a sight to behold. Nothing stands in their way as they pursue their objectives. I'm a big fan, how about you?"
Do you use a Front Runner tent?
We used it the first year now we have an ikamper 😎
We almost called off our trip around Australia as my dad died very unexpected. We were in the middle of the build of our truck. We went away and did 5 years of overlanding, overland travel. It will make you a strong person for better. Love or liefs Rolanda van Amsterdam
Sorry to hear about your dad 😔. It’s these life events that give you the realization that life is so fragile and short. We should make the most of it. And wow 5 years! That sounds amazing 🤩what an adventure!
Condolences for Patrick’s mom.
This is my favourite overlanding channel.
Can’t wait for future videos!!!
Thank you! What an awesome compliment we will keep doing our best!
yo~ very unreal traveling- see you soon. ;))
Thank you see you soon!
Great philosophy and I felt your hearts talking unhindered by how you are told to live and feel. Life will always throw you obstacles to test you. Yet life is not a rehearsal, this is it. One can never find the true meaning of life until one finds themselves first. You have found yourselves. Run with it! 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you very much! Definitely no time for rehearsals!
Ja

Exciting!

Beautiful !
Thank you!
Ahh, cliffhanger!! Super excited to hear what yalls plans are! Over 2.4 years ago we left and sold everything and started traveling full time and absolutely love it! The nomad community is truly one of a kind and some of the kindest people we’ve met!
Can’t wait for your next video! As always great production!!
Thank you! Awesome to hear you just did it, living the dream (L)

Thank you Steve, it's a big decision but sometimes you just have to go for it!

I would so much want to end procrastinating. Problem is how to pay for traveling. If I had a solution I‘d be gone tomorrow morning 4‘o clock no later. But at the moment, all we can do is build our car (a Mog) and wait, save, pay money into the rental system for the time after our return.
Money is definitely a great obstacle, for us also a struggle we have to be very creative to make it work... You have a unimog? (#dreamcar)
@@lewieandtherover Yes we bought a very rusty and crusty ex- hay- transporter, U1650 from Switzerland. Restored it / first two years, and starting to build a detacheable cabin this winter from steel (chassis) and sandwich (foam, GRP) material… for still some years to come. Bit frustrating cause the dream is always there, you build the car to go, but see what happens around and think, time is running out (being mid-50s).
