Hello everyone! Really excited to share our latest adventure. It was a bit different: we wanted to see if we could work from our RIG. It was not what we had in mind... 😁 Lewie liked it thought!
It looks like the perfect social media story, working while travelling in your camper. But in real life it's maybe nice for a few days but after those days you miss comfort, space and regularity. Just make a choice, travel in a camper or work at home. And you will enjoy both more.
There must be a vast open space for the starlink to catch signal. Since there are surrounding trees (even if not covering the Starlink 90 degrees), it obstructed the signal. Nonetheless, it is rewarding to work from anywhere. You gave me an idea. Thanks for sharing your work adventure.
To bad you guys had such bad luck with finding a good signal, but never the less, it looked like you had a nice time in sweden! Realy looks lovely out there!
Probably would be easier and maybe also cheaper, using the mobile network. I know there are no roaming charges in Europe anymore, might be some data limitation, but then a local SIM would work fine. Less stressful.
Great shots and storytelling!!! the starlink is the same for us, we have to find places where there is open sky and no tress. but its tough at times because we looooove forests. But we wouldn't change our lifestyle for anything, love to be able to work from the road!
lol that firepit is intended to be setup slightly different ;) the holes of the sheet go to the end of the pipe, the metal clips are then squeezed, and pointed trough the hole into the end of the pipe. This creates a almost flat mesh bed to make the fire on :)
Hope you still enjoyed the trip here to the area, looks like you where somewhere close to where I live in Växjö :-) plenty of forests and lakes here and not so many people... you will get phone reception in most places even in the forests but of course some places are not that good cover due to less population. Really like your videos! I go to south of Spain every year and plan to do a trip to Morocco in close future so found your channel that way :-)
You will love Morocco! It’s awesome. If you need any tips let us know. Yes we loved Sweden, we will definitely go back. We were just to inexperienced with remote work, rain and Starlink 😂
Trees attenuate the signal, you need open areas to access weak satellite signals for broadband. It's less important for a gps that doesn't need the bandwidth.
Very nice video !!You have found beautiful places !! Do you have any coordinates for that? I was also thinking about Starlink, but on the website they indicate that the coverage is not really good in Sweden.... Mooie video en vooral de mooie plekjes hebben jullie gevonden !!! Hebben jullie daar eventueel coördinaten van ? Ik zat ook te denken aan Starlink, maar op de website geven ze aan dat de dekking niet echt goed is in Zweden....
Nice video! I believe you are using your firepit incorrectly. The metal bits on the corners should be able to be squeezed together and inserted into the ends of the poles. If not that would be a very funky firepit. Happy camping!
Verdien geld met youtube, jullie zijn goed bezig.Heel leuke en mooie filmpjes van jullie advonturen en de mascotte Lewie.Doe zo verder, hou van jullie toffe verhalen❤
Very nice video! Beautiful shots and very nicely put together with the storyline! Thoroughly enjoyed it :) Did you try the starlink some more over the past few months? I would like to know if you have had better luck, also how much power does it draw? Cheers from Belgium 🤙
Thank you so much 😊 we didn’t use it extensively the past few months as we weren’t traveling. But we have a big world tour coming up and will bring it with us 🤞🏻
Paddleboarding with a Choc. Lab? how did you even get him on in the 1st place, ours would have jumped straight over the board and swum off into the distance after whatever caught his eye ( or nose)
Haha in we started supping with him while he was very young. He also doesn’t like to jump in the water from the board. Sometimes he falls in because he wants to grab a stick.
Did you check the 3/4G connection in the area you had issues to connect the Star-link ? Mobile coverage is normally good in Sweden even outside the cities. We normally use the Mobile system to connect and sometimes work while on the road.
ahhh this must have been the first premiere i've missed since i've found your channel... since i was on adventures myself haha, a good excuse i guess :)
@@lewieandtherover when I was traveling with my camper the First Time. I worked as a conusultant and had a lot of Zoom Calls. At the First Weeks it was very exciting to Work from the Beach and other besutiful Spots. But than I had a few realizations i want to Share with you: 1) When it was hot ☀️ without aircondition in the car its very tough to Work 8 Hours on a regular Job day. 2) A camper itself is Build to Slow down. No fast Coffe. No fast teethbrush. No fast shower. Its the opposit of our regular Home. So its very inefficient. Thats why we Like Camping, Right? And i felt that After a view Weeks more and more. 3) The circumstances of These beatiful Place are inviting you to Enjoy the Time. But working needs Focus. Again, its the opposit of that what the Place/nature wants from you in This Situation. 4) my Whole Energy was different, it was Not like at the Office. Where the Place was to be productive, efficient, and so on. AlSo the Work Quality was not as good as at the Office . So Iam come to the conclusion that there is for every Things the Right Spot to be in Harmonie with the Environment and my feelings. I only Work in a Office. Even not at Home. My Home is my Home for living. Not working. When ism Travelling. Iam traveling without Laptop and working stuff. I would Even work harder and more to go on a longer Journey without working stuff in my Bag. Thanks for Reading my Message :) and have a wonderful Journey. Curious whether ' remote working' while travelling to a country where a person does not have a work visa ( yes I realise people do it every day) is a violation of that countries laws. And exposes a person to consequences.
You have the right to be traveling for work, business man have worked from all around the world since ages. But the bare minimum is that you should spend 6 months + 1 day in the country where you pay your taxes.... Then if you are an employee you need to check your contract, often remote working is only permitted from the declared home... but that really something that can be negotiated between employer and employee. Then finally there is the insurance from your work for any accident while you work that may be restrictive on how much abroad you can be and where.
Working from home means getting away from people it means depression stress laziness I can't do it I rather to drive an hour to work with people make friends communications
if you were on my team i would fire you for it. everyone else comes into the office or works from home. But you miss meetings because the freedom to work from home is not enough for you.

Yes you are definitely right! It was fun trying but it’s not the experience you would have when you don’t have to work.
honestly I have done it for 6 months and it's great. People are different, you know..

Nice video again Patrick. Best solution for the Starlink problem: Leave Orla at home and take me with you!!
