"There's going to a whole bunch of things we're not going to tell Mrs. Clinton!" His best line as Clinton, imo. Hartman was the best. They didn't call him "The Glue" for nothing.
There’s something about Brian Cranston that reminds me a little of Phil Hartman, not so much personality wise, but I feel like the two look really similar and have fairly similar voices.
Hartman was so funny is these sketches that Leno and both girls were struggling not to break character! I wonder what kind of awesomeness he'd be putting out today if he were still with us.
“Oh, come ooonn...I lied 50 times in my inaugural address alone! Who cares?? DID YOU LIKE THAT MIDDLE CLASS TAX CUT?!? *hysterical laughter*” Still relevant today. 😎
I'm not even kidding, I'd say Phil's wife saw these sketches and got hella jealous. Ironically , Despite wanting to be an actor herself , she probably couldnt recognise this as simply acting and that the girls were hitting on her husband. Total nutbar as Dana carvey would say haha
Out of all the people who did an impression of Clinton, Phil Hartman was always my favorite. I can remember watching these when they first aired. I always loved how he made Clinton out to be some wild and sex crazy guy. That was always hilarious to me.
I like how he did that too. Only thing is though, he was just being accurate. 😂 It was brilliant satire that bordered almost on not being so since it was a factual portrayal too.
@@alukuhito The Clintons have always had a business relationship. Hillary was enjoying her women while Bill was having his way with many. She only got upset because he was, too often, indiscreet. The fact that both Phil Hartman and Darrell Hammond have both played a fair-share of presidents, and arguably you could say Hartman was the first ever Trump impersonator on SNL (but that was before Trump got elected).
This was the best 6 minutes of my day. (Albeit my life isn't too eventful lately.) Knowing already how amazing Phil Hartman is I'm still blown away every time I go back to one of his performances. I tend to get annoyed with people who go on about how "90s was the best, the good ol' days!", but while watching this I couldn't help yearn for those days.

Love Leno and Phil! My humble opinion is that ML did NOT deserve being dragged through the coals like she was and is. She was a puppy and that was a man in power. He took advantage of her and her position. Clinton has always been characterized as charismatic and charming. He continued to be revered (by many) and that woman was torn down in a horrible way. For this alone, I hope karma gets this man.

I was looking for the skit where Phil Hartman plays Governor Clinton sitting in the back of the police car being driven around looking for sexy hitchhikers and they find Jan Hooks on the side of the road in sexy dress and Officer Nealen looks back at the squad car and the window rolls down and Govenor Clinton cracks a big smile and gives two thumbs up lol

Bill Clinton got caught doing something bad, & then was caught lying about it to the American people. He should have been impeached, & the general public should have been more outraged than they were. This skit was just part of a larger attempt by the media to soften up public perception on the matter through comedy. To make it seem like no big deal, & make Bill seem like a loveable cad rather than the lying pervert he is.
He was impeached, and acquitted. Because, you know, the President's sex life honestly isn't our goddamn business, just like our sex lives aren't the President's business.
dmodmodmo, you're confusing the issue. It's that he lied his ass off t the American people. have you seen the clip of him after the DNA tests proved he lied?
