If it is a CONFIRMED case of MENIERE's disease (not a merely clinically suspected, or doctor's fancied diagnosis of Meniere's disease) then the treatment is with DIURETICS in stage one (in some selected cases mixed with migraine prophylactics depending on the peculiarities of the individual case), if that does not help then a properly done IT gentamicin , if that does not help then selective vestibular neurectomy. But a CORRECT diagnosis is to be done first.

Then I take 1 vergon (prochlorperazine), with imbalances I am suffering tinnitus problem n blocked ear very much. I am taking some medicine regularly ( menaril 16mg, ginkgo biloba, avil, cinnarizine+dimenhydrinate) etc. Sir have any online appointments to visit you? I want to visit you sir. Greeting sir I had mailed you earlier regarding my problem. I had sudden hearing loss in 2017 while using earphone in left ear only, suddenly I had feeling of fullness in left ear and had vertigo next day lasting around full day.Similarly had similar onset after a month also. After that I had developed hearing loss and fullness in ear. I’m 2018 I developed tinnitus and finally reached out to doctors and initially they treated for tinnitus and hearing loss, as I was not aware that giddiness is due to ear. In 2019 I developed. Sound aentivity vomiting nausea and had attack every month and it increases to every days in 2020. In 2021-22 no severe vertigo just vertigo which lasts 10seconds no vomiting nausea.I just fell down and next moment I am ok. Although I am getting myself diagnosed properly at this time. In 2022 dec I started having these attacks with long duration vertigo and nausea (20min). MRI NORMAL VEMP NORMAL VNG NORMAL MODERATE HEARING LOSS LEFT(~50db) TYMPANOMETRY NORMAL. Now doc adviced Getamicin injection.

Most cases of vertigo can be cured or at least near completely controlled such that the patient can lead a normal life. But first the underlying disease causing the VERTIGO will have to be diagnosed by a doctor who is capable of taking a very detailed history (which requires a lot of time and patience on the part of the doctor), carry out some clinical tests and then if required carry out some relevant investigations like imaging studies, blood tests and some vestibular function and audiological tests.

WASIM NAZIR there is no known cure to meniere’s disease. Unfortunately it is an autoimmune disorder that is progressively causing hearing loss. I have the same but at an early stage. The only treatment that has worked for me is kortizone, but it is just to slow down the symptoms and not to cure it

Sir, I am from Tripura My husband is having air like sound in ear and episodes of vertigo and nausea In year 2017 he had a ear operation for hole in ear due to water in year 2003/2004 After that it was all gud but in year 2019 he had a accident and 5/6 number of teeth from upper has broken and he fixed them with cap but from 2021 he us having same sound and episode of vertigo and nausea which is increasing day by day. Last year we visited Apollo Dr P. S reddy sir diagnosed him and says it is meniere diseases but after all medication we are trying this episode are still increasing day by day. Now it is 2/3 tym in a week . I am very worried sir please 🙏 reply me and guide me sir

Vertin and Diamox are not known to cause kidney ptoblems usually but any patient can have an adverse reaction with any drug and there is no way that the prescriber could have predicted it. If your father unfortunately has kidney problems that is persisting even after stoppong these drugs, then treatment will be a problem. Ask your fathers nephrologist whether THIAZIDE DIURETICS like Aquazide can be allowed or not. If not then only option is INTRATYMPANIC GENTAMICIN injections provided the diagnosis of Mwnieres disease is confirmed.

If you are NOT having any hearing problems it is VERY VERY unlikely that you have Meniere's disease. It may be Vestibular Migraine. may be Benign Recurrent Vestibulopathy or a Vestibular hydrops nut NOT Meniere's disease. THOROUGH INVESTIGATIONS NEED TO BE DONE. First you need to have a CONFIRMED diagnosis that it is really Meniere's disease. There are definite diagnostic guidelines for Meniere's disease and some investigations like Glycerol test ECochG, PT Audiometry which will show a very typical picture is necessary. If confirmed, then medical treatment with Diuretics will have to be tried and if that fails then first Intratympanic Gentamicin injections and if that does not work then selective vestibular neurenectomy will have to be done. Your local NEUROTOLOGIST will be able to guide you properly

Hello madam, please go to dentist, stupid ENT don't understood the real problem. I faced 8 years these symptoms now everything gone as bad teeth causing stress to brain when I chew any food materials. This is the fact, neurologist, Ayurveda, homeopathy, allopathy not the solution. There is a DTR therapy it will fix the problem. God bless you

I suffered 8 years. If you are from Bangalore meet prafulla tumati, dental clinic, katriguppe. Most of the time it is TMJ issue. It will resolve don't worry.
Not really. Severe septal deviation may induce slight ear blockage but there is NO logical reason to cause the other two. Please be careful if some doctor tells you that surgical correction of nasal septal deviation will cure your vertigo and tinnitus. A diplomatic advice will be to try another doctor and dump the fellow who has said this.

Same as what; what treatment have you taken?? Seek the opinion of the doctor who is treating you and he should definitely be able to help you out. If it is Meniere's disease your doctor will be able to improve your condition
Not exactly. There is a pathology called COCHLEAR HYDROPS in which there is no vertigo but this does not fit into the definition or ambit of MENIERE’s disease

MY father have kidney problem after taking diamox with vertin. so what will you prescribe to do. It is a serious problem now. Please reply
