Buon anno amico mio! Ci sono certi passagi di Antenore nelle qualli senti una lunghezza di spettro acustico dal fondo all apice impressionante! Anima larga, profonda e pungente nello stesso momento! Oggi farebbe solo l' Inquisitore per non smascherare tutti gli altri sulla scena......

Sounds more like bass-baritone. IMHO.
Honestly, as a bass-baritone, most Puccini baritone roles are heavy enough, and require a better mid range with a handful of loud high notes, and thus better suited to bass-baritone anyway. Most true baritones are way too light.
@@aarondimoff5180 To your point, George London was a major Scarpia. How does the latter half of the aria here sit in your voice though? I would think that it would sit a bit high. I agree that a baritone’s middle voice needs to be substantial enough in order not to be swamped by the orchestra.
@@ER1CwC The only real high note here is the final G, so it's pretty comfortable. Bass-baritone's tend to have trouble when an aria floats consistently on D-F, say the Rigoletto/Gilda duet in act 1, or Il Balen in Trovatore. That's vocal suicide for most bass-baritones. Much easier to sing heavy and loud up to D or Eb, then pop off a top G and be done with it. Even Di Provenza is pretty easy for a bass-baritone with good technique, because it's mostly middle voice. Scarpia is only truly difficult towards the end of the Act 2 scene with Tosca. The Te Deum isn't that bad.

@@ER1CwC No problem. Sorting out what to sing can be quite complicated for a young baritone. Never an easy question. In the end, if you can be heard over the orchestra, have the right colour, and arn't exhausting yourself, you can sing it.
