- How many remember Trukfit? Created in 2012 by Lil Wayne and his manager Cortez Bryant at the height of the mixing of rap and skate culture, Trukfit was part of the 2nd wave of rapper streetwear.
Trukfit was released in an era when Lil Wayne was arguably the hottest rapper in the game, and the clothing line got tons of hype on the back of this.
But it's been years since Wayne has so much as uttered the name, let alone you've seen anyone on the streets wearing it, why is that? Let's find out.

I remember seeing Trukfit in malls and hearing about it in Wayne’s songs while I was in middle school. I always liked the idea of it, but I hated the clothing because it mimicked Wayne’s own style (which I was not a fan of). So while I always wanted to rock Trukfit, I could never do it because I hated the designs. I wanted to like it, and I wanted it to succeed, but it was not my type of style.
My favorite Wayne era as far as looks, hair, clothes, and aesthetic was definitely the Trukfit era. I wish he would bring it back. I like it 1,000 more than a lot of the stuff he's been wearing lately. He even held meet-and-greets and autograph signing during that era. Too bad I wasn't a fan back then because I definitely would have bought some Trukfit clothing and gone to an autograph signing.
Saying lil Wayne never knew how to dress is the craziest thing ever said 😂
Wayne isn’t a fashion icon but every current rapper stole his style .. face tatts, dreads, piercings
He stole all that from LA, like he did with gangbanging
.....are you serious?
@@scootabeanhe was basically what mumble rappers based their style off of and rapped about he drank lean and didn’t even promoted it that heavy like mumble rappers
i used to go crazy over Trukfit 😂 had the beanie , the fitted, the snapback and the jacket with all the characters on it
What Happen Chris Brown Clothing line?
"Black Pyramid"
that’s a good question
Consistent uploads and quality content. Been following for months, keep it up
I'm surprised you didn't mention AUSTIN MAHONE!
He's the reason why I got into trukfit. Lil Wayne used him through his massive popularity in the same time the brand was launched. He was literally rocking it on interviews, stages music videos etc. Austin was the perfect catalyst for this and introduced a whole new different demographic to the brand.
I got that little guy you talking bout tatted on me 🤣 I used to love trukfit. All my gamer tags has trukfit in it. Lol . I hated it ended. But on different note. Why this guy sound like Dave Chappell 🤣🤣🤣
T shirts will never go out of style
Awesome video. I really was wondering what happened to the line. Cause it literally just disappeared.....and nobody said much
yea i remember my dad had hella trukfit shirts and hats and its kinda crazy that botha yall named nate
Good Video! I’m from New Orleans & Been wondering what happen
When city trends started selling it it was over for that run 😂🎉
One of the hoodies that I have that still gets the most compliments is a trukfit hoodie I bought about 10 years ago. Trukfit was already out of style but I liked it & I had some gloves (gp's shoes not actual gloves) that went with it perfectly so I bought it & still like it
Which hoodie
@@XMorbidChaosX black with the green & purple & white trukfit head. Truck life on the back
I knew since the launch of Trukfit. Around 2012, I started seeing Wayne skating everywhere.
This was a good video…well done!
I've got a 90s mindset and tried to dress like Bell Biv DeVoe with overalls and sneakers.
That old pic of him wearing them skinny pants lol is cold 😂
Trunkflt was my childhood
Bra i saw a video of Wayne the other day in grey look like tights and a skirt on everything... It was in a interview

I did
@@takeflight2142 i just watched it u are very good keep doing your thing bro
Truck fit could’ve been the clothing version of rap snacks and it was cute for the kids but yea I can’t see any adults wearing that.
I had a couple of shirts cuz of wayne but loved the hats
Your page deserves more views. The angle of subjects you touch on is top notch
Thx a lot bro, we’re really trying to get the channel goin but it’s super hard in the beginning
No bs !! Staygroundead or avntspace should hire him and have these uploaded to their UA-cam channels to inform the new age kids getting into streetwear
Hey Howdy from HOLLYGROVE 17thWard NOLA... literally 2 Houses down from Waynes Childhood home on Colapissa Street... Got my Cash$ gear on FLEEK as well as my YoungMoney gear on LOCK and got a sizeable TRUKFIT collection..!!

Love this stuff
fire video
Well done vid
Kanye entering his form at the same time as Meek ? Lol
Truck Fit had some of the dopest new era fitted hats and I would still wear the black with the yellow 🚚. The shirts were good too if you didn't order too big and decently priced too
And now I’m going to go listen to Dedication 4 and cry while I drink this beer and hit this cart 😂😭
😂
BEST ERA EVER, PERIOD.
Still got my swimming trunks haha best pair I ever had and coolest
The camo/chuck Wayne era was fire though.
Lil Wayne style was cool skate punk hip hop for me was a fashion icon i think trukfit came to late if lil wayne launch brand in 2010 before 2012 maybe it was a boom
Bro wayne had started the wave of wearing skinny jeans and rocking vans ... damn how can you say he ain't been influential in fashion ??? The next generation rappers wouldn't be wearing skinny jeans if it wasn't wayne who started the trend...
Naw I admit he was influential, but the way he put the shit together was often trash 😂
Nigggggaaa hellll no that was not Wayne 😂😂
Pharrell, New Boyz, Lil B, really started that. I never owned a pair of skinnies til “you’re a jerk” came out 😂
He was way to influential when he dropped the carter series .... your ass be tripping bruhhh ... stop the Cap if u don't know nothing .... if Pharrell was way more influential than wayne over fashion or the whole career ... you should look at the current game each and every rapper right now been Influenced by wayne ... get your hating monkey ass out here .. get a life nigga 🤣🤣🤣
Correction! Kanye West is the one who brought that skinny jeans vibe back in 2004 ... When wayne was dropping the first Carter ...
New video yippie
00:35 bro were all them ppl in the front missing legs!?
I still wear trukfit it's timeless
I never liked t fit only platinum fubu, Brooklyn Express and school of hard knocks 😂🎉
“You could find this stuff at all da mall stores that sold streetwear. PacSun, Zumiez, doctor Jays” whatever the fuck that is. Nah buddy. In Kansas, the only place to buy Trukfit was fuckin DILLARDS. It was ass. It had its own little corner, which at the time I thought was amazing. But that one store corner didn’t have enough room for what they created. It was bad bad. It had like 6 differnt t shirts, 2 crew sweatshirts, one jacket or coat joint, and a handful of hats. Man I loved trukfit at the time, literally I’m wearing this brand of clothes that my favorite rapper is talking about, it felt like Dior or Bape or margiela. It felt exclusive. Now I see the width of what he created, it was so many ideas for clothes. Tons of great designs. I slowly buy trukfit used online, sad as hell of what I missed 10 years ago. What an iconic brand for 18 year old me.
Slept on
He said the clothes the guy sold out his truck were Cheaper because he stole them. Not cuz they were fake
They wanted premium prices for cheap ass shirts the one i had was made of tissue paper barely lasted 2 months
Did this man just say Wayne wasn't a fashion icon?!?!? Dreads, face tattoos, snapbacks, he molded the look of what rappers are today smh
What you say is true, but at the time no one looked at Wayne for fashion tips. But lots of people jock his style now.
@@takeflight2142 that's very true at the time he wasn't considered
Wayne was a fashion icon in 2007 not 2012
@@E_KITCHEN92 you just described 2007 like I said .. 2012 is trukfit, skater Wayne
I was just telling my son he should by Black brands and he likes skateboarding now but I don’t know of any Black skateboard brands so he bought a Grant Tayler brand..🙄
Kids these days 😂
Bro said lil Wayne don’t know how to dress….you’re insane if you think this is true
Have you seen him? Dude dresses like a idiot
788 million? Source on this number? I highly doubt it was that successful
What's the beat/instrumental in this video???
It’s a beat from my buddy Nel Weezy
@@takeflight2142 where can I get in contact with him
Ok 👌👌👌
Alberto Junior Dacache give me back my 5000 rands
Truck fit was ass wtf never wore it never thought of wearing it shit was tacky in my opinion 😂😂😂
I agree I never owned any either
aye the style was perfect for 2012🤷🏽♂️
Trukfit was 🗑️
Super
Bruuuh
This brand was terrible
As someone who has skated since 2004 and still skate I remember this being the lamest kr3w/ supreme/ ice cream knock off shit looked super corny
I always hated TRUKFIT . I'm a huge fan of Lil Wayne but I never liked his skater style , his skater phase , and Hip-hop skater style in general . It was extremely tacky and had no class .
Skater phase? He’s been skating and he reps the culture. He just went pro too with a skate brand
10:15 listen, you really said that when we had OUTKAST CLOTHING, akoo , rocawear, Ruff RYDER Clothing , Snoop Dogg clothing, G-UNIT, Phat Farm, Sean John, BBC Ice Cream, BAPE, All was way before him and lived and still lives longer than this shit. So that’s kinda false
Dude be havin some wild takes
And vokal, wu wear, shady ltd, P. Miller, The Game’s hurricanes, the list goes on
