    I thought you were going to make some clapboards!
    I made about fifty spruce 10' x 6" clapboards today using a junky one as a wedge for every other cut. I had excellent results as long as I didn't go too fast and I set the cant and the blade carefully.
    Then went on to saw a gorgeous red oak into 1x6x8's and more spruce into future use cants.
    What a great day to run the mill! That spruce smelled so good! And the oak smelled like dog poop!

      Nice, I’m going to try the wedge thing once I need some of that type of siding. I’m going with board and baton on all of my buildings here. I kinda prefer how it looks. I guess rustic.
      I agree with you, some of the best days are spent milling logs. Fine weather just makes it better.
