I have the HM122 also. I got a batch of WM blades late last summer. They were very sharp and offset nicely. Best ones I've gotten from WM so far. They resharpen very well too. I'm still fairly new so I'm no blade expert. I highly recommend the WM sharpener and setter. They work really well especially with the better grinding wheel they offer.
@@majorpixchannel7146 I got a giant mostly clear clean maple growing in yard if you can come get it, I'll donate it to your saw free of charge if you're interested. About 4 ft. At the baseabout 80 ft. tall. In NJ.
That's something I really want to do. Is shakes and shingals from eastern red cedar. We are building a large tree house this spring and summer. I'm going to try my hand at it!
@@majorpixchannel7146 I think the eastern may be too knotty for shakes . Stuff I was blocking was clean a.d clear ,like I mean 6' diameter old growth. Had a 200' right of way for dead or down , we 3 guys did 3-4 cord a day way back in the mid 70s. All hand balmed out !!
@@Deplorable0698 yes that makes sense. I didn't think 🤔 about all the knots. Milled shingles would work out loads better. I would say over time the knots would still probably defect first.
My youngest is planning a home on some new property they have. QUESTION: How big of Eastern Red Cedar timbers do we need to select for 8"x8" porch post?
I have always said that the most beautiful thing about trees is what we can make out of them once they are cut down. At the risk of infuriating the tree huggers of the world!
I wanted to research the Timberdog blades but I only find Timberwolf blades. Do you have a link for where you purchase yours? That's a beautiful log. I have a HM122 also but haven't obtained any cedar yet. Thank you for sharing that milling video.
Funny how it's called cedar. It's actually thuja. Lovely wood to cut with a big mill except when it still has the bark on. So soft that with small gullet saws it's easy to overload the saw capacity and still have loads of power left. It's a bitch to plane when dry and of course dead knots fly out but only top quality clear grade is worth the effort of sawing.
Eastern North Carolina 4th generation...makes me think of my day's gone by when i was sawing lumber..."magic" ‼️👍🙋

Prob 11 inches, if you don't mind a few rounded spots on the corners..
Cedar always has that nice smell.
I love wood!

Have you run any of it through a planer, if not be careful the knots will pull out and you will think your planer is going to explode
Yes sir
😮 Ne güzel renkler... İlk kez görüyorum.
Cutting good
Thanks
I can smell it over the internet.

Most cedar has small knots and they don't fall out.
Where can I get a nice soul meal like that
AMAZING

Man don't you wish everything cut like cedar?
