@mrbaconlover03 No this was in 2006 so he wasn't in college yet, and plus Cam Newton never went to S. Car. the guys name is Syvelle or something like that
@aaaredskin I didn't realize frequency came into effect when determining if it was a trick play. I guess onside kicks are trick plays too since we don't see them 10 times per game.
@drummerboy2991 No, but honestly I don't know what to say about state's team. Defense is good and bad depending on the game. Wish we could be consistent on both sides of the ball.
I don't the the ol' ball coach knew what he had back then. Newton was great at every position he played, QB, HB, WR, CB, and KR. No doubt about he is the best QB in Spurrier era.
Newton was the best qb since Steve Spurrier has coached the Gamecocks. He never played him like he should have.

I lolled so hard. Thank you.
what about steve taneyhill, he was a real qb for us back then.
I love Steve Spurrier
Boyd was back like cooked crack on that play!

Spurrier! Come on back and call some plays!
And still Kirk Herbstreit acts as if he knew the exact setup x)
now if only garcia can make consistent plays
Trickeration should be added to the dictionary with a reference to Spurrier.
it looked like he was just in the neutral zone to me. u mean the cornerback at the bottom of the video?
That was like a play off of Blitz 2001

Don’t see why we don’t try this with dak right now.
Was just thinking that.
@drummerboy2991 looked like the old msu last week at auburn.
trickeration is not a word.
yeah, your probably right. but it was pretty close
this isnt the point of the video but the cb at the bottom of the screen looks offsides at the beginning of the play haha
holy shit offside, nice play though
the CB at the bottom of the screen
Yeah, the corner was offsides.
the real trick play is that someone convinces kids to actually attend michigan st
i think i saw offside, idk.
Ball Coach!!!!
wow the old msu bad times bad times
Newton was a boss
how is that man free
the D was offsides. anyone else catch that?
@wtg2989 i agree
@athletes987
That's not a hook and ladder. Learn what something is before you try to reference it.
@robbyperez Too Late!
yeah, thats what i meant
I totally disagree, Newton couldn't throw the ball for shit, this clip is a rare instance that he could.
This a much more basic play than the Black 41 Flash Reverse play, or for that matter, any non-QB pass play.
@robbyperez Good Idea. Were gonna be Japan's next earthquake.
@hydorn89 way way offsides
A double pass is not a trick play
@fiedler12345 Uh, that's Mississippi State.
@athletes987 bullshit. its a simple play but its a trick play. tricked the hell out of mississippi state
@wtg2989 lol u trying to joke
stupid. horrible defense.
What about Todd Ellis?
