I’ve seen videos of people running an inline setup, but say they can’t use the foot brake while hand breaking or vise versa. Can anyone confirm this?

You can But the pressure is going to be compromised because of it, so if you're on the handbrake and need to use your foot brake, You're going to have to press down harder on the foot brake if you're already on the hydro and vice versa to get similar results.
Most of the time though, you probably shouldn't be on both unless you're in a pretty big Oopsie moment

Does that mean if you go with dual calipers setup, you'll keep the ABS active?

When you mention adding a caliper to the rear, that would increase sprung weight. The brake system moves up and down with the suspension therefore it is sprung weight.
    I know you know.
Just keepin it on target 🎯 😊

I kindly disagree. That's unsprung weight. Sprung weight rides on the cars suspension. The wheels, calipers, and tires are all unsprung weight. The less unsprung weight, the easier the wheels can conform to rough terrain or quick turns due to less mass; calipers are part of that mass.

No it's unsprung weight since it is below the springs. Sprung weight is supported by the springs.

Its for drift anyways, not time attack

You mean increasing the sprung weight.

No it's unsprung weight. It's below the springs. The springs don't hold that weight. That's why reducing unsprung weight allows your suspension to move easier.
