this song feels like a dream- and i don't mean that in the way that most people mean when they compare something to a dream. i mean this song feels nostalgic, empty, confusing, ethereal, and calm. it feels like staying up later than you're normally allowed to. you're 8 years old, it's about 10 pm, you feel sleepy but not *tired* and are slowly realising that your parents forgot to put you to bed. you're sitting there on the couch while Wheel Of Fortune plays, looking out the window at the impenetrable dark night while fireflies dance and flash.
