  • I wanted to make a cold process soap that would be great for Mother's Day, but not too specifically themed. I also thought it would be a great time to use some techniques I haven't done for ages, so I decided on using the Polka Dot technique. Then I topped it all off with some soap piping.
    If you struggle to use your own recipe for soap piping here's a link to a recipe & piping tutorial that you may like. I haven't used it myself, but have heard that it is pretty good especially if you need your piping to stay 'pipable' for a long period.

    Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. The information given is based on what works for me, however, there are lots of variables associated with cold process soap making and I, therefore, take no responsibility for the results achieved when using the techniques or methods explained in these tutorials. Cold process soap involves the necessary use of sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a very dangerous substance. Before attempting and cold process soap making you should ensure you are fully aware of the lye safety procedures and always wear the correct safety equipment when making soap.

    I'm always blown away by your inventiveness, and how you can visualize so well how things will look when rotated through various angles. And of course, the results are lovely.

    Such a beautiful design! Perfect for so many occasions, you definitely created a beautifully feminine soap. Loved watching the whole process, especially how you use up soapy scraps into pick n mix soaps! Brilliant idea. Great to see another video, thanks for taking the time to share. 😊

    I love the creativity you bring, the way you see how to make soaps is amazing. I never would have thought to do it that way. I probably would have been looking for teensy tiny column molds for embeds. lol

      Thank you so much, The mixer is called a Greek Frappe mixer.I got mine on Amazon, it's great. I'm not sure where you live but I believe that they are tricky to find if you are in the US or Canada.

    I am a nurse in a surgery department of a hospital. I love that you wear scrub caps when making soap. Do you sell the blue mold that you said you made?

    • @IDreamInSoap
      @IDreamInSoap  7 місяців тому

      Thank you so much, the scrub caps work really well. I don't sell the blue grid I'm afraid as it would work out too costly to produce as it would need to be redesigned every time someone had a different size mould

    • @IDreamInSoap
      @IDreamInSoap  7 місяців тому +2

      Oh, I'm sorry you can't buy it. It's something I made myself. I don't have it in the shop because it would be too costly to reproduce as it would have to be completely redesigned each time to fit other people's moulds
