I think infiniti nailed the new QX80. And I think the Lexus LX600 will be a very tough sell now even within this own Toyota/Lexus line up let alone this new QX80. the LX600 is outdated already even when it was new..
I'm going to get killed for this, but Infiniti delivered the vehicle that Lexus thought they did with the LX600. This thing immediately dates the LX, particularly in luxury and interior environment. Its just a more intricate and interesting vehicle, and the top trim is $20K less than an LX.
@@hellkitty1014 They serve different purpose. The LX retains the off-road capability of the Land Cruiser. This QX on the other hand is completely neutered from the Patrol. The QX does not even have low-range. The approach angle is an abysmal 16 degrees according to the press release.
Im not impressed!! First off why is it sitting on the ground. He said you get 5 more inches but it still looks as if it would still be on the ground!! It's decent, but doesn't look luxury. It looks more premium at best!!😂

I think Cadillac has nothing to worry about being how everyone is inspired by their latest design language. I see lots of Escalade inspiration in this exterior and interior but no one has quite outdone Cadillac’s interior yet. It seems more like competition is finally catching up to it. I will say Lincoln, Lexus, and Jeep just got outclassed by Infiniti and they have a lot of work to do.
As others mention below, this looks fabulous inside and out - great effort by Infiniti. Also, great review by Alex - no idea how he makes it look so easy when I am sure a lot of hard work went into this.....

If the TX had the luxury appointments of an x7 and a GLS, then it would also be in the conversation. the TX has almost as much room as a full size body on frame SUV, yet it has more room than an LX, which doesn't make much sense for the LX to be that way. just makes the LX less desirable compared to the QX80 and TX

Looks like Nissan has opted for a 6 cylinder like everyone else and the production model QX80 doesn’t look as good as the concept version did so Cadillac truly has nothing to worry about.
This is the most important car for Infiniti since the g35/fx...I wasn't sure if they could match the wagoneer/escalade, but they did, sure escalade may have a massive screen coming but this is also a massive interior tech presence. This is also high enough quality to compete with the x7 and gls, the suspension sounds like it could make driving dynamics be on par/closer with that of those more sporty lux options than the massive wagoneers of the world.
Love the way the exterior and interior looks. 3 issues on the interior: 1) Lack of physical buttons up front for climate controls. 2) Too much piano black. You'd think that car companies would of changed by now. 3) The buttons on steering wheel could of used a better surface material than what was given.
Everything just seems to fall into place for the QX80. The luxury, style, power, etc is a quantim leap for the 14 year old vehicle that is replacing. They really spent considerable time and effort to make this vehicle super relevant for the times and class. Now...Infiniti should address the Q50, bring back the QX70, and consider flagship sedan to take on the Genesis G90 and best from Germany.
Left Infiniti for another brand a few years ago b’c of their models’ long-standing obsolescence, but it looks as though they may have grabbed a second wind in that QX80, and I’m glad to see it. Living here near Nissan HQ, I’ve seen so many QX80s and every time I wondered when it would be updated - overdue but looks to be well worth the wait. *also am intrigued to see public reaction to the 2-spoke Range Rover/Cadillac Celestiq steering wheel* 🙂

Hyundai’s styling doesn’t even belong to them. Why should they feel flattered when their flagship SUVs styling is straight off the Cadillac Escalade? Their signature vertical LED lighting is all over the Palisade while the Kia Telluride is the GMC Yukon lookalike. No different from the Sante Fe styling being straight off a Land Rover Defender. Hyundai and Kia do not style their own products, not sure why their fans actually try to give them credit for their designs when their styling literally belongs to other brands. The same goes for their luxury brand, Genesis. It’s Bentley’s styling and did not actually originate from South Korea. Lol

It's crazy that the truck makes those 22s look like 17s. The fact that the front looks so much like Palisade and they went with "Autograph" for its trim name instead of Calligraphy is kind of lol-worthy. Should hopefully be a nice vehicle to own and maintain.

Once again it turned out to be an ugly hippopotamus. The small-looking wheels pressed into the arches resemble an old woman. In addition, this vehicle is famous for the greatest loss of value in North America…at the same time it looks good inside.
I’ll never get another Infiniti. I leased 7-8 of them and they stopped making drivable vehicles several years ago. I’d go Acura or Lexus again. But, i like the Germans now, excepting Mercedes. I’m on my second Audi and it’s a hoot to drive. My Audi has real exhaust tips, too. I can afford to maintain it. I always felt Infiniti had the best customer service, in terms of the buying experience.
I still can't help but all these driver assist systems just prove how little people actually WANT to drive everywhere for everything. No one wants to need to pay attention to where they're going, and it shows in how a lot of people drive. How much of this complication could be avoided if there was good public transit and intercity rail in the country, and if we'd built around that, instead of forcing everyone into cars whether or not they like it? Rant over; I'm glad that Nissan is taking Infiniti a bit more seriously, but I do wish we'd seen standard hybridization on this tank. Cruising on electric power, without needing to worry about our currently-not-so-good charging network, is a very luxurious experience.
It doesn’t look that different from the outside. Interior looks better but has an infinite number of ways for things to break. It’s also frustrating how many cars don’t allow for CarPlay to use the entire screen.
Design wise is an evolution but why are the wheel arches so wide. It’s looks so awkward. Turbo 6 cylinder, lots of gears. Fancy LEDs and big screens. Where are the hybrids/ plugins. Screen don’t impress me. I want to see ground breaking engineering tech.

Incredible upgrade. Infinity/Nissan is an undervalued brand for quality, but not design. This is a great improvement. Wish they kept the V8 option.

Lincoln Jeep are better than Infiniti by a smidge but Lexus especially is done. They have to discontinue the lx right now. It has no chance
