For The 2024 Porsche Macan Turbo EV 'Performance Is Luxury' | Forbes Life

The Macan has been Porsche’s best-selling model for almost a decade now. A sporty crossover that combines both the style and feel of the company’s sports cars with some of the practicality of the bigger Cayenne SUV. But for 2024 there’s a whole new type of Macan.
Calvin Kim, Product Spokesperson for Porsche North America, takes Forbes on a tour of the all-new, fully-electric Macan EV at the 2024 New York International Auto Show.
For Porsche, “performance is luxury,” and the Macan EV will be a scorcher, with 402 or 630 horsepower depending on the model. It will charge quickly thanks to its 800-volt architecture, which the automaker claims can go from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes on a DC fast charger. The Macan EV rides a whole different platform than its gas-powered sibling and will ultimately replace that vehicle, but it will have the same kinds of athletic chassis and suspension designs that Macan buyers are familiar with.

Because consumers instantly think of EVs when they think of Porsche…going full EVs for the Macan and not updating the ICE model is a laughable choice imo

Ok, how about a REAL Porsche with a real ICE?
We don’t want vanilla EV’s with fake noises, fake rumbles and touch panels everything. We want cars that make us dream, not vehicles taken from a dystopian fiction where beautiful design are prohibited.
