Those are just insane! Not sure I want to grab a ladder when I go out to the garden (mainly because I'm clumsy - LOL)
    Fantastic job, these look amazing!

Thanks for a great video. I'm jealous of your tomato plants but I live in central Pennsylvania, zone 6A and we have a shorter growing season. Good luck with your garden this year and blessings to you and yours.

How much and how often are you watering them?

It really depends on how much rain we get, but if it has been dry for a week or so I give them 5 gallons of water each every 3 days. More if it is above 90 degrees, because the plants start to sweat to cool themselves through evaporation.

You thinking about trying any new varieties? Maybe some beefsteak too?

Yes we are. We grow many varieties in our main garden, but nest year I am not sure what variety we will grow in out monster tomato grow. We are building a greenhouse this year so I will start many varieties next spring. Beefsteaks are a great tomato so I might grow some monster beefsteak tomatoes next year. Thanks for watching.

@@HippieHillHomestead what did you grow them in? I know you added things in the beginning of the grow, but what was the soil? I don't get tomatoes to grow up, they get top heavy from all the stuckers and then fall on themselves. As a result, my tomato is like 3-3.5ft tall, but with about 50 tomatoes now on it to make about 20lbs on it. How do I get em to grow stably up? You put them thru the cage holes or just prune and let them produce all the stuckers they want?

@@matthewkheyfets1309 I have been growing cover crops and adding bio-char, chicken manure compost and wood stove ashes for 6 years now. This combination has made all the difference in the world. After I plant my plants in the spring I cut the suckers off for the first 6 weeks. After that I let some ( 25) grow to about 9 inches and then cut them and root them. After that I leave all the suckers and just weave them through the cage. The cover crops and no-till are the ticket.
