Wearing gear is definitely important! 5 days ago, our groups' leader got hit by a car on his Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro when they turned in front of a bike lane and didn't see him. His arm is broken, and he's sad to be done riding for the year, but we're just glad he's still with us likely thanks to his gear. Some people may grow tired of hearing it, but you guys mention it in every video, and we appreciate it. Never stop. As far as the ending question goes, our favorite places to ride in Albuquerque are the Tramway and Bosque Bike Paths.
Glad he is alright. Send him our well wishes for the broken arm. Albuquerque isn't too far from Denver. I'll have to come visit for a ride and eat come green Chile and adobo chicken.

A good helmet and armored gloves are the bare minimum on any scooter that goes faster than 30 mph. If you're planning to do 50 or faster full motorcycle gear is needed.
Great video. I love Vsett scooters. I'm an OTR truck driver, so I just ride wherever I happen to be. I love riding through small towns and villages. It gives me an opportunity to really absorb the culture of the various places that I visit.
I really appreciate the time you took to do a range test at the speed I was not expecting. To town an back is 24 miles leaves no room for putzing around my area. it definitely gives me a base to work from. Thank you so much
I’ve had several of those near collision instances. My first one was in a parking lot were a guy in a truck turned extremely hard into the spot I was in. Basicly I was coming down to turn right. The guy in the truck turned left. There was a dumpster in the way so yes, visibility was cut to a degree (you can easily see over it and the trucker had raised suspension). I was about 15 or so feet away from my turn, which has a stop sign. He is driving and turns without deceleration and almost clips the curb. Mind you this is before he sees me. So any vehicle that would be coming up onto this corner would have slammed into him since he gave no clearance to his left. So when he turned I ended up having to e-break (double press the breaks and swerving). No one got hit and there really wasn’t any injuries except some scrapes. The second time was when I was turning to head to work. It was a 4 lane intersection and basicly I started my turn and some guy who was clearly not at the line yet thought it be ok to just gun it. Yea, he almost completely ran into me. He ended up having to pound the breaks to miss me. For anyone who rides e-push scooters, just be carful and wear the equipment. A lot of people who don’t understand these vehicles arnt kind and don’t care.
Yeah you're. It's also important to remember how small an object we are as riders on the road. I consider myself quite a decent and good driver but once or twice I've almost changed lanes while a cyclist was beside me. Hard to see them on the mirrors & shoulder checks. Drivers fault of course, but still remember how small we are.. wherever I can help it I prefer sidewalks and trails.. even if it's illegal I'll happily explain my incidents with a cop than put my life in the hands of a Dodge Ram.
I got into a bad accident back in May while riding my Kaabo Wolf King GT. I was following a garbage truck when it started slowing down, and I assumed he was making a stop. I sped up to pass it, and apparently he was getting ready to take a left turn. The truck got right in front of me, and I collided with the side of it. I had full gear on: knee pads, a lazy-rolling hoodie, a helmet, and motorcycle gloves. When I hit the ground, the pads did their job. I would have walked away at that point, but the truck was still moving, and some part of it struck me in the lower back, causing me to fracture my sacrum. I spent the night in the hospital and I'm still recovering. After getting the seat for the scooter from Voromotors, I was back riding less than 2 months later. Things would have been so much worse had I not been wearing all that gear.
I have done 41.5 miles on my Vsett 10+R (1,800+ total) Max speed: 39.7mph AVG speed: 13.6mph AVG moving speed: 25.2mph Distance: 41.5 (Relive) / 43.5 (Scooter Odometer) Charge at end: 53.5v Dual motor / Gear 1 (except for a couple little areas) Electronic braking: 1 Acceleration Level: 1 Power (P8): 100% Temperature: ~ 75 degrees Tires: PMT Terrain: paved path, very hilly. Lots of power uphill, coasting/regen downhill Thanks Andrew for the great video, glad you didn't hit that car. I love my 10+, but was hoping for a little better range, especially at higher speeds. That is probably my biggest complaint. Otherwise, the same complaints as yours - Horn, handlebars & lights which I all upgraded. Oh yes, and the display :( No other big issues, and Revrides support has been great. Love the trigger throttle, very responsive & smooth. Great suspension. If you're ever in Atlanta come join our local PEV group - we've got some great riding areas down here.
Thanks for the info! I'm glad the car noticed me because I'm pretty sure I'd run right into the car had they not stopped. I would love to ride around Atlanta. I'll have to come visit sometime.
Idk if you tried that yet, but it's painful. I bounced off the side of a Toyota Tundra in a similar situation. Fortunately I had a motorcycle helmet on. I think it may have broke my thumb, but no major injuries thank God. Bruises showed up a few days later. Glad you're okay.
They’re not invisible people just prioritise looking for objects like cars rather than scooters bicycles and motor bikes. Motor bikes generally have sound and a front headlight always on though so slightly more safe. Understand that concept and you’ll be a better at defensive or offensive riding which ever you choose.
Not bad. I’m getting 20 miles at 40mph on the 25.6ah VSETT 10+. Adjust the acceleration to 2. I was overheating the motors and it dropped my speed significantly but once I started cruising high speed in acceleration mode 2 it’s keep over 40 even at the end of the battery
Can someone educate me on e scooter laws and stuff in america? Where I am (Ireland) we're limited to 18mph and it looks so weird to me that someone can be ripping 50mph on a scooter without at least a motorcycle licence let alone 30mph on a park walkway.
Happy you are okay Andrew! I always try to stay as far away from the far right of any lane when possible to avoid potential doors opening and people merging without looking. One of the main reasons I prefer to have a powerful PEV that can keep up with traffic.
Man it gets frustrating the amount of people that DON'T pay attention... I mean how are they aloud to carry a license.. even on a pedestrian green light cross light, I almost get hit or clipped...
@@rietzhu yup ...gets your heart pumping sometimes! Helps to have flashing lights or neon clothes to make oneself ridiculously easy to see. At this point I don't care if it doesnt look cool. Rather be alive lol.
I find everytime I almost get in an accident it's by someone not paying attention on a right turn (sometimes left) into a place of business or gas station etc, or they're just entitled expecting us to have eyes in back of our heads and on the side. Doesn't matter if I have reflective gear on, lights or what it's the most common bs..
I bike commute daily and ya its a rare week that some idiot makeing a turn does not try to run me over because they didnt look. I very intentionaly wear very high vis gear and at night am lit up like a christmas tree and yet there's always folks that are just blind to anything smaller than a car. Also what really grinds my gears is there are a few areas that get congested with cars and there's always "That Person" who sticks their nose out of a parking lot to save their spot in the line of cars even though they cant get fully out and end up blocking the lane of trafic, the bike lane and even the sidewalk more often than not.
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Vsett 10+ and the Kamal many is king gt. As you have ridden both, could you give me thoughts and opinions on which is better? Hard to decide. Thank you.
I’m a 250+ pound rider and I have my Nami Burn-e 2 set to throttle me at 15%. I was able to get 46 miles riding balls to the wall. Hope this helps. I could have gone a little further but 8mph is unbearable lol
Hey so after a couple of crashes my break levers are a little loose how can I tighten them? Also about the play in the handlebars how can I fix that when I’m out riding as I’m riding on the left handlebar with the sport button it always comes loose a little bit as I’m riding
Wear gear all the time and also don't cheap out, buy the best gear because if you get hit by a car, chances are they're at fault and you can claim all the damages to the gear +being the most protected.
Need twice the mileage up here on Cape Cod,MA! What you got with speed and mileage, that’s a little faster than I need but always liked speedy machines
Guessing you want to do the whole cape rail trail lol It can at 25mph or less, you shouldn't be going that fast on a bike trail anyway. Mabey see you there one day might try it this summer ☀️
I know you already know this, but adjust the tire diameter P setting so display will reflect not only correct GPS speed, but also should log correct mileage on odometer.
7:34 gave me a heart palpitation watching this because I (unfortunately) was t-boned on my Vsett 10+ not even a week in of owning it, but luckily got a helmet not even 10 minutes before the crash. Thankfully wasn’t totaled and still rip on it to this day. Always wear helmets kids, regardless of what vehicle/epmad it is.
I was hit by a car on my Apollo city pro after 2 days of owning it. Guy didn't see me coming and turned right into me at the intersection. I was PISSED. Scooter was totaled I was so mad and am still so mad this was back in March so pretty recent.
Vsett 10+ has a claim on 160km range on 25/km an hour eco mode with the most expensive variant, the most battery, yet i can't find anyone to confirm this, does anyone know?
Come out to Seattle. We have a Saturday night ride with everything electric. About 100 people show up and its growing. Defiantly come in spring or summer time.
I ride along the river to get to work sometimes here in Australia, North Queensland. Summertime right now. Our speed is capped to 25k/h though. I have a Ninebot F40 but I really would like to get the Apollo Phantom. Especially with the V3 coming out.
I counted at least 4 he ran in the video. Regardless of what Colorado law allows that's an excellent way to get seriously injured or unalived in an intersection. You'll typically see noob riders doing this because they haven't gotten the hang of stopping completely and taking off again with the torque of thier hyper scooter. Whenever a noob scooter rider buys a hyper scooter for their first ride Charles Darwin is having a chuckle.
Ha, I recognized some of those neighborhoods you were in. I used to live in Lowry. In fact, if it hasn't changed much in four years, you should ride around Lowry. They've got a big open grassy park (looked it up, it's actually called Great Lawn Park) by the community college, and the neighborhood around Rampart Way is neat. You can also stop by the airplane museum. Then you've got the mega-lo-mansions on 6th St. If you want to travel out of state... uh, well, Albuquerque, NM (Just 6.5 hours south of you!) isn't as bad as I thought it would be. There are some neat bike routes, like the one going up and down the Rio Grande. I personally like riding my ebike to the Balloon Fiesta field. However, uh, the number of homeless people has gone up a bit. And some do sit in the way of the bike paths... I haven't met any aggressive ones yet though. I just got my Apollo City Pro 2022 but, of course, there are some issues that I need fixing. The test ride felt great though. I'll see how Apollo handles my case.
Good eye! I ride around Great Lawn parks all the time and love riding under the planes. I did that ride on the Mantis King GT range test we are releasing soon. I'd love to ride in Albuquerque and Sante Fe. Would be sweet to ride when the hot air balloons are being launched. Keep me posted on how Apollo services your issues. I'd like to know.
We have the VSETT9+ at home and it has been a major disappointment. The amount of times we have gotten flats can be counted on one hand… EVERY MONTH! Tried every kind of tire option. Even changing out the wheels is a horrendous process that was clearly not tested properly. Unless you are skilled with repairs of this type you are out of luck because you will not be able to change it. I wish there was a way to return this thing or swap it out. At this point it is nearly unusable because you can pretty much guarantee you will get stranded somewhere. Or maybe we just got a bad one out of the batch…
@@Andrew-vt4jt scary, I had the same thing happen to me the other day and the adrenaline made me hop off the wheel before I was completely stopped lol I was fine and so was the wheel just had me shaking
I've got a Varla Pegasus. It currently has zoom mechanical brakes on it. I was thinking of upgrading. Is there a brand you would recommend? Can I find the quality break set on Amazon?
If I am invisible when riding a 700 pound motorcycle, be sure anything smaller is also invisible. It is up to the rider to keep their eyes open and always look for escape routes. Blowing through stop signs is not a great idea either. Aside from the danger, it leads to bylaws against PEVs.
Handlebar play is not that simple of a fix, it's really problematic which is why lots of people go for solid handlebars, but then it makes it difficult for commuters who need all the space savings possible. Scooters degrade so fast with aggressive riding and you'll be spending lots of time with maintenance/upgrades (but some people enjoy that). It's why you should take reviews from this channel with a grain of salt because without owning and using the PEV for a period of time, you'll never be able to get an accurate review.
Adjust the throttle downward. You have it set on maximum finger fatigue mode. You only need your last 2 fingers to apply pressure to the right brake. This scooter rips 1 yr strong woo hoo.
If it's warmer out and I don't have thick gloves on I like them adjusted closer. When I have thick gloves on I try to adjust them a little more apart for dexterity reasons.
I’m actually surprised it’s only getting 24ish miles with a 28ah battery. My Dualtron Eagle pro has a 22ah battery and I get 26 miles when riding fast. It does look like you’re riding I’m colder weather than I was and it is a bit faster than my Eagle; so that might be the reason 🤷🏿♂️
Same thing only 2week of owning scooter man run att mee with car. I think that to them is perception thing cos they don't hawe fealing how fast wee can goo. So I ride it like motocikle carefully
E scooters aren't Invisible people don't care Cuz they are doing them. So Be Vocal, Cautious , Vigilant a prayer wouldn't hurt and Enjoy your self have All the Fun while geared Up. Thanks Happy 2023
If you're riding that thing faster than 30 mph for the love of God please replace those foldable handlebars. Get a decent pair of mountain bike bars that are a single piece. Unless of course you enjoy the idea of one or both bars folding on you at speed.
dude, your title is "INVISIBLE on the Road: VSETT 10+R Range Test" just look at how you drive?!? That's not a range test!! don't do sport mode at all, put back P12 to 1/5, use DDM (but even better if you don't), so i got 80km on range like that on the pro 28A battery 8) You use it like this got max 35-40 :D
Love the 10+ i just think its on the older side at this point and has frankly been outclassed by the newer Mantis King GT which also falls into the same general price category during normal months
@@Andrew-vt4jt yeah that’s surprising to hear considering on the King GT it barely throttles you at all, can be at 63 volts almost dead and still going 40-43 mph
Im located in Germany and you are welcome to visit me and take a ride together... But before, you have to make the VSETT 10+ legal here XD... German Law SUCKS
2:20. always gear up. never know when someone runs a stop sign. me....... i seen u blow through 4+ at least so far in 2 min clip......... 4 way stops. and ur in vehicle lane most the time. so uhmmmmm hmm lol
Three things one it’s kinda understandable for a bike to run a stop sign as they have to power their vehicle but at a stop sign you have to stop also you should not be on the sidewalk especially with a scooter like this that is baisicly a motorbike and third you were going way to fast around those curves with the bushes on that park you Kohl’s have easily severely injured or killed a pedestrian (the people meant to be there)
“Someone’s gonna run a stop sign…” yeah you this entire video you blew through them
I see a ton of scooter UA-camrs blow thru stop signs and not use the scooter's turn signals even when they have them. I just look at it as natural selection in action. Eventually they will be seriously injured. I just hope they don't get hyper scooters outlawed everywhere in the process.

It’s capped at 25km, but can you unlock the speed?
"someone is gonna run a stop sign" as he runs a stop sign 🤪
Colorado law allows us to ride through stop signs as long as we yield to Traffic.
Come to NYC jimmy we can collaborate on a video Freshly Charged & The Electric Scooter Guy??
100% this
has anyone tried the new vsett display on any other brand scooter with a qs-s4?
the stock throttle/display is just a qs-s4 in an enclosure and works with apollo/zero etc. Would love if the new display worked as well.
@@pevns I have not but would love to try out the new throttle.
What app are you using for the range test?
Strava.
You are probably not filling it to the recommended PSI.
Close one!
Very close.
@@Andrew-vt4jt scary, I had the same thing happen to me the other day and the adrenaline made me hop off the wheel before I was completely stopped lol I was fine and so was the wheel just had me shaking
West v Huntington bro come thru I got a escooter it’s just a d4 3.0
A front LED strobe light will be sure you’re seen during the daytime, at far distances.
Always have to watch out of wet leves this fall
Man im kinda bummed bought mine from rev rides a week ago and now they got a grey option. Guess the yellow will be better for visibility
But don't they ship it to Italy?
pls Help Kaabo mantis Gt or Vsett 10 Plus
7:30 you looking for
Come to Omaha! We have over 120 miles of paved trail. Looking at that throttle position made my wrist hurt lol
I have seen somewhere selling a plug and play 35ah battery that fits the 10+, but it is $1,500 which is a bit high for me.
That would be nice to have. But you could buy another scooter for that price since REV Rides is having an awesome Black Friday sale.
Rev Rides has a deal
Free stearing damper and bag. I like the finger throttle better myself.
They have a great deal going on for Black Friday.
Colorado laws allow us to not stop at stop signs as long as we yield to traffic.
You ran 4 stop signs while talking about someone else might run a stop sign you are an accident waiting to happen
do you have mph if kmh?
I'd say you would get 39 km of range if you rode at full speed all the time.
I'm liking my EUC over my scooter so far 🙂 Now if I can just get brave enough to go 30 MPH+ on the EUC though lol
5:47 that's what she said.
🤣
I’m actually surprised it’s only getting 24ish miles with a 28ah battery. My Dualtron Eagle pro has a 22ah battery and I get 26 miles when riding fast. It does look like you’re riding I’m colder weather than I was and it is a bit faster than my Eagle; so that might be the reason 🤷🏿♂️
Weight of the rider makes a difference too!
I'm a big boy at 205lbs right now. However Dualtrons do tend to have the best battery efficiency.
She didn’t see those high intensity front LED blinking lights😮
Same thing only 2week of owning scooter man run att mee with car. I think that to them is perception thing cos they don't hawe fealing how fast wee can goo. So I ride it like motocikle carefully
I ride the vsett 8 in Seattle!!!!!!
Seattle is a sweet town. I'd love to join for the Saturday night group ride.
Anytime hit me through email so we can link up!!!!
That’s the 28ah battery and you only got 23ish miles? I’ll definitely be getting that 35ah battery from alien rides.
You an that car both ran a stop sign
What’s the ip rating
IP67
Does that go for all vsett 10+‘s and also I thought they were Ipx4 that’s what I have seen on all reviews
E scooters aren't Invisible people don't care Cuz they are doing them. So Be Vocal, Cautious , Vigilant a prayer wouldn't hurt and Enjoy your self have All the Fun while geared Up. Thanks Happy 2023
Alway have your tire pressure at max unless you like repairing flats
It's a nice scooter
I like a scooter better
Than a electric bike myself.
I gear up myself all the time.
Thank you for the revue. What is the best scooter you can buy in your opinion under $1500?
the scooter realistically goes about 45 max. i have 1100 miles on mine.
in dual motor mode and sport ?
If you're riding that thing faster than 30 mph for the love of God please replace those foldable handlebars. Get a decent pair of mountain bike bars that are a single piece. Unless of course you enjoy the idea of one or both bars folding on you at speed.
Ginger on wheels??? No wait.. Andrew.. Must be something about vsett 10+r today
It's a great scooter backed by an amazing dealer.
dude, your title is "INVISIBLE on the Road: VSETT 10+R Range Test" just look at how you drive?!? That's not a range test!! don't do sport mode at all, put back P12 to 1/5, use DDM (but even better if you don't), so i got 80km on range like that on the pro 28A battery 8) You use it like this got max 35-40 :D
Love the 10+ i just think its on the older side at this point and has frankly been outclassed by the newer Mantis King GT which also falls into the same general price category during normal months
I have a range test on it coming soon. Big issue is the way Kaabo throttles you at the end. It was crazy how bad it was.
@@Andrew-vt4jt yeah that’s surprising to hear considering on the King GT it barely throttles you at all, can be at 63 volts almost dead and still going 40-43 mph
@@Astimar. yeah it was very odd on the Mantis King GT. The display on the Mantis King GT and Wolf King GT are 2 volts off when riding at empty.
wich one should i get vsett 10 plus or mantis king gt
Is this guy still alive? Seriously. This video was a year ago and with the way he rides he can't still be alive.
Scooter safety meanwhile you just blew through 2 stop signs >.
Anyone else notice their heart rate jump at 7:34?
My heart was pumping when it happened. Very close call. Glad they noticed because I'm not sure if I would have been able to stop in time.
@@Andrew-vt4jt glad you’re ok! Side-note, do you take any of your scooters out in weather like today (CO resident).
⚡👀⚡
Thank you for always supporting the channel!
@@Andrew-vt4jt 🤙🏼🤙🏼 keep doin the videos
Three things one it’s kinda understandable for a bike to run a stop sign as they have to power their vehicle but at a stop sign you have to stop also you should not be on the sidewalk especially with a scooter like this that is baisicly a motorbike and third you were going way to fast around those curves with the bushes on that park you Kohl’s have easily severely injured or killed a pedestrian (the people meant to be there)
Yooooooooooo
Yoooooolooo!
